00:00Go on to the left side, left side.
00:02The left side, OK.
00:04Previously on Seven Little Jostas.
00:06Yes!
00:07We're ahead.
00:09The entire family is doing a scavenger hunt.
00:12Hurry up.
00:14We are all super competitive, and us two do not like to lose.
00:18No.
00:18We're terrible losers.
00:20We are.
00:20We're great cheaters.
00:22I'll give you 10 bucks if you do me a favor.
00:24All right.
00:24That white Mercedes, let him go after me.
00:27Dad's probably cheating.
00:28Yes.
00:29Hee hee.
00:30Damn, dude, you're giving me my $10 back.
00:35What do you think of this place?
00:38We got to look in it.
00:39It's thick.
00:40Today, Bryce and I, and of course, my dad,
00:43are going to look at a plot of land
00:45for a possible build of our home.
00:49So on this lot right here, here's reality.
00:52Before you swung the first hammer,
00:54put up the first piece of wood, you're $100,000 in.
00:58I believe it.
00:59That's not included in buying the lot.
01:00I think they're still more better out there.
01:04Keep looking.
01:06Tonight, I am having dinner with Alex and Emma.
01:08So I guess you've been real busy since you missed Emma's graduation.
01:11I guess you've been real busy.
01:14Not real busy, it's just, I mean.
01:16What's the deal?
01:17Like, why haven't you been around, like, us and the family?
01:19Within about 10 minutes of having dinner with them,
01:21I knew that it was not going to go how I was expecting.
01:26I'm not here to argue about that kind of stuff.
01:30This is just a catch-up.
01:31I just don't know where this whole thing started.
01:33I don't know where this whole thing started.
01:34I'll walk out.
01:36So I mean, what's the deal?
01:41Like, why haven't you been around, like, us and the family?
01:43Like, where have you been?
01:44So today we're out here eating dinner with Anna just to hopefully see what's going on with
02:04her and mom and dad and just see if we can get to the root of the problem.
02:07I mean, it's not just one side.
02:10I mean, between mom and dad, it's stuff that they're apparently mad for us.
02:16And I mean, I get it.
02:17My thing is, like, why are you taking, like, all the anger out on me and then, like, Liz and Jonah?
02:21Like, if it's a problem towards mom and dad, why couldn't I just stay between mom and dad?
02:25Like, why are you aiming it towards us?
02:27I understand, like, I haven't came to certain important events.
02:32Y'all's graduation, and I understand that, and I am very sorry about that.
02:39And, yeah, am I going to live with regret of that?
02:42Yes.
02:43I mean, that's not on y'all.
02:45When Anna said she did regret not coming to our graduation, I mean, she, that was, like,
02:50the first time in, like, months that she has apologized, I guess, apologized to us.
02:55Just hearing that she regretted it, like, yeah, I hope that you did regret it, because it sucked
03:01that you weren't there for us.
03:03There was no communication with the family, and I know I could have just came.
03:06I mean, but you could have been the one to reach out to us, and you could have, and no,
03:10it's not just the graduation.
03:11It's, like, you're missing, like, Leighton's early childhood.
03:13Like, you could still be around and be an aunt.
03:15Like, you could still come around, and we're more than one to patch things up with you.
03:18It's just, you need to be the one to start coming around more.
03:21Okay, okay.
03:22And, yeah, I understand that.
03:23But dad and I got into his favorite match, and that didn't end well.
03:27A lot of the hate and the disgruntledness and things that have gone on is from your actions.
03:34And you know if it wasn't from your family on it, you would not be here.
03:37So is that why you came into her just to fuss at me?
03:40And it's not that easy after I get yelled at.
03:43Parents can come to my house and storm out and yell at me and be rude as ,
03:49but I'm supposed to show up to my parents' house acting like nothing happened.
03:52Okay, that's between you and dad.
03:54It's between dad and I.
03:55But, like, all you guys live under mom and dad's roof.
03:58I definitely feel kind of in the middle of all this,
04:02because Ana not wanting to patch things up with my parents,
04:06because I guess she's angry and frustrated with what's going on with my parents.
04:12And it's definitely hard with that situation,
04:16and then us siblings having to deal with that.
04:18It's definitely just, yeah, tough.
04:21I mean, Emma and I want you around.
04:23I mean, you're still our sister at the end of the day.
04:24Like, we want them to come and start coming around.
04:26Okay, and yes.
04:27Yes, okay.
04:28And that, and I'm slowly getting that, like,
04:30said yes to having dinner with y'all.
04:32Yeah, but what about the other siblings?
04:33I mean, yeah, like, the other siblings still, like, deserve to see me.
04:35You don't want to talk to your other siblings?
04:37With Elizabeth's situation, Elizabeth was out of attitude and didn't really talk to me when I came to do the tree plant,
04:46and mom was mad at me for taking the graduation gown and barely talked to me.
04:52I don't, I mean, you were all kind of distant.
04:54Like, you didn't help us plant the tree at all.
04:56Like, it was me and Emma busting her ass.
04:58I had the wrong clothes on, and that was my fault for not looking at the weather that morning.
05:03Sheely?
05:04Alex, just pay attention, okay?
05:06All it's going to do is hit the tree.
05:08I'm not sure.
05:09Yeah, I guess she does.
05:13Oh, if you don't come with the sandals and short cleave t-shirt and shorts, do this.
05:19I guess my big thing at the end, or Emma and I suppose, big thing is, like, forget the graduation, forget the tree.
05:24My big thing is, like, why haven't you, like, just at least make an effort and start coming around to see not only us, but Leighton.
05:30Like, Leighton needs to see her aunt and needs to see her sister.
05:32Oh, she's done pretty big.
05:33Yeah, that's another thing that hurts me is not seeing Leighton.
05:36But her mother, Elizabeth, started getting mad at me because mom was getting mad at me, which that's been my whole life,
05:43is if mom's mad at me, Elizabeth's going to be mad at me.
05:46Is it hard seeing Leighton grow up through social media?
05:49Yeah, that's hard.
05:50Is it hard not coming to y'all and talk to y'all, like, you know, about school, you know, about work, whatever?
05:55Yeah, it's hard.
05:56It's still hard to come around the family when I have a dad that is mad at me and walked out of my house like that and yelled at me like that.
06:04Yes, I get it, there's other siblings, but it would be different if, like, Elizabeth lived on her own still, Jonah lived on his own, and I came to see them.
06:12That's y'all's house.
06:14No matter what, I'm going to want to be okay with dad, too, if I'm walking up into his house.
06:19That's the hardest thing about all of this is all the siblings live under my parents' roof and I can't come see them because I got my parents there because that's my parents' house.
06:32And I'm not going to walk in there and not speak to them and do that, you know?
06:38I wish, so wish, that, like, another sibling had a house, you know?
06:42I mean, I guess my thing is that, like, why didn't you, like, try to, like, invite us out for lunch more often or so try and, like, talk to us?
06:50I could ask y'all the same thing.
06:53Why don't y'all have a phone?
06:56Not fair whatsoever for her to put that on me and Emma when she was the one that instigated this whole conflict.
07:02Like, that was not right whatsoever.
07:04This is always put on me.
07:06It's always looked out.
07:07I'm the bad person.
07:08I'm the bad person.
07:09Y'all have a phone.
07:11Y'all can text me.
07:12Y'all can talk to me.
07:13Y'all are always welcome to my house if y'all shoot me a text and be like, hey, you want to come to my house?
07:18Hey, can I come over?
07:19It's not always me coming to mom and dad's house.
07:24Like, it's not, why is it always looked at as...
07:27I mean, I guess it's kind of hard for us to try and make that relationship if you're not willing to make it back towards us.
07:31I guess that's my big thing.
07:32But it's two-way.
07:33It's, for something to work in a relationship, friendship, not anything, it's got to work two ways.
07:41Not, it's not all put on me, not looked at me the bad person.
07:47Nobody's coming to me.
07:48Nobody's calling me.
07:49Nobody's texting me.
07:50You can't say that y'all don't go to people's, y'all don't go to siblings.
07:53Y'all don't go to siblings' houses because y'all went to Elizabeth's house plenty of times.
07:56Mom went to Elizabeth's house plenty of times.
07:59I'm just trying to figure out a way, like, you and mom and dad can just bury the hatchet.
08:02Like, I mean, like, that's my big thing.
08:03Forget all this and hopefully you can...
08:04And just forget all this and move on so we can all be a family again.
08:06Like, yes.
08:07I don't think...
08:08I understand that, too.
08:09Y'all want that, too.
08:11But you can't forgive mom and dad and then us forgive you and then, oh, we should hang out.
08:16Dad can't forgive me either.
08:19Yelling and clutch at me and walking out of my house.
08:22Because of those things that you did and made him pissed off and...
08:25I mean, it's pretty understandable why he was pissed off.
08:27I mean...
08:28The underage drinking incident definitely upset me because Ana didn't take accountability
08:32for her actions for the incident.
08:35And she's been separating herself from the family when we didn't even do anything to her.
08:40Why is it always a one-way sign?
08:42Are y'all shooting and texting and being like, hey, you want to come to dinner?
08:45Hey, do you want...
08:46I mean, it's kind of hard for us to reach this relationship.
08:48We can because we're mad at you for the things you haven't been doing.
08:51I'm definitely upset of just the things she's been doing.
08:56Definitely not her coming to our graduation and then just not participating in other things
09:03that we were doing for other people like Poppy's tree.
09:06That was very upsetting and, yeah.
09:10To end this conversation, I'll come around.
09:13I'm not doing this back-and-forth argument stuff.
09:15I love you guys, but I'm not...
09:19I'm tired of this...to end this conversation.
09:21I'll come around.
09:23With me ending the conversation with, like,
09:25if you want me to come around, I'll come around,
09:27that's just because I was trying to end the conversation
09:29because it was just going in circles, going in circles,
09:31and what I didn't want is an argument like Dad and I had
09:34because when we're going in circles as a family, it doesn't end good.
09:37But I knew at the end of the conversation that I'm not going to win,
09:40so it's just better to say something and just be done.
09:44We all didn't need him.
09:49Mm-hmm.
09:50Yeah, we pay up front, so I'll pay up front.
09:53Okay, thanks.
09:54We didn't get, like, the solution that we came here to get.
09:57I mean, it was just nice at the end of the day that we could express our thoughts to Hannah.
10:01Like, we could...it's like she could hear our side of it
10:04and not just Mom and Dad's side of it.
10:06Like, now I are having a mommy-daughter day.
10:22Since Layton has started daycare, the day is that it's just Layton and I.
10:27Since Leighton has started daycare, the days that it's just Leighton and I, I have been
10:32trying to find fun and creative ways, you know, to spending more time with her, doing
10:37some fun activities together to bring our relationship closer.
10:41This is Leighton.
10:42Hello!
10:43Hi, I'm Kaylee.
10:44Nice to meet you.
10:45And that right there is Christina.
10:46She's the co-owner.
10:47I'm Elizabeth, or Liz.
10:48Nice to meet you.
10:49This is Leighton.
10:50Nice to meet you.
10:51Welcome.
10:53How old?
10:54She's kind of woke up, fell asleep the last 10 minutes.
10:57Hey, she's like, where am I?
10:58Not the car nap.
10:59Not the car nap.
11:00It's okay, yeah.
11:01So iStroll is a workout program primarily for moms, so we're really passionate about providing
11:06an outlet for moms where you can bring your kids with you and get a nice sweat in.
11:10So the first one we're going to do is called a banded jack.
11:13We're going to put it around our knees right here, and we're just going to do kind of like
11:17a jumping jack move.
11:18We'll do that for 50 seconds, and then we'll switch it up.
11:21So seeing these two moms, you know, they're pretty much stay-at-home moms, and this workout
11:25class is their business.
11:28And I would want to be a stay-at-home mom, but me, I feel like I need to work to provide
11:34for my daughter because I don't want him to work too much, too many jobs like my dad did.
11:40Because my dad was there.
11:41He was a great dad, but there are some things he missed out on simply because he had to
11:45work.
11:46Get everybody ready.
11:47We will start our banded jacks in three, two, one, start.
11:53You're in your own little world, huh?
12:01Definitely since having a C-section, certain movements kind of, I guess, turn the stomach,
12:06burpees, a little, when it's working the abdominal muscles, when we're going up and down, you
12:11can feel it a little bit for sure.
12:13Some twinges, because all the nerve endings are not fully back together from being cut
12:17open.
12:18All right, Amelia's going to start us off.
12:20She's going to grab a weight, pass it to your neighbor like a Russian twist.
12:24Good job, y'all.
12:26Okay.
12:27That was it.
12:28All right, when you're done passing them, you can take a break.
12:31Yay!
12:32Yay!
12:33We've never had a little person participate.
12:35Today was the first time.
12:36So at iStroll, we really pride ourselves on being able to modify our workouts for moms of
12:40any life stage.
12:41So whether it's pregnancy, whether you're dealing with injuries, especially after birth.
12:45So we really pride ourselves on being able to modify all of our exercises, and I think
12:49that applies to her, too.
12:50She starts kicking when you work out.
12:52Yeah.
12:53I think she's amazing.
12:56Yes.
12:57I kid you not, my last two weeks, we thought she flipped, but it was her hiney up here in
13:03this rib cage, and at night.
13:05Oh, boy.
13:06Did that hurt?
13:07Oh, boy.
13:08Oh, yeah.
13:09Heartburn.
13:10I had to sleep elevated.
13:11Oh, jeez.
13:12Doing these workouts with the moms, it was great, because in some kind of a sense, we're
13:17all on the same path of being a mom.
13:19Some have more kids than others, some are just about to start having their firstborn,
13:24and they're with babies, and I was just really happy to see how comfortable Layton was in
13:29that environment.
13:30Is that a move?
13:31I appreciate you guys.
13:32I'm gonna have to dip, because she's starting to get really hot.
13:34Aw.
13:35But thank y'all.
13:36And I'm gonna definitely tell you my friends about this.
13:38We're gonna be back.
13:39Yeah.
13:40Awesome.
13:41Have a good night.
13:42Bye-bye.
13:43Say, let's go.
13:44She's so cute.
13:45Let's go.
13:46All right.
13:47I'm going.
13:57You know, between now and the next two days, we have to do this like twice a day.
14:02Really?
14:03So Alex and Nelma were talking to Amber and I and telling us about how their talk went
14:07with Ana.
14:08My perception is they didn't make much progress.
14:11It didn't go very far.
14:12However, right now, we're gonna table this, and we're going to focus and work on this fall
14:18festival that we are hosting this weekend at our home.
14:21This is gonna be great.
14:23Can't wait.
14:24What's that?
14:25So before we close down the pool for the season, we want to enjoy one last pool day
14:31and do a little plank trivia before it becomes polar trivia.
14:37I came up with this idea.
14:38I saw this on social media.
14:40I'm scared I won't play this.
14:41Plank trivia.
14:42We start right here at the pool.
14:45Someone's gotta stand on the end.
14:47That could be your job, because I know you don't wanna get water in your face, so you'll
14:51be the permanent anchor.
14:53Joan asks us a question.
14:54You better stand.
14:55If you get it right...
14:56Step back.
14:57You step back.
14:58You go back to the end of the line.
15:00So, how this game works is each person, you know, steps onto the plank.
15:05They have to answer a trivia question.
15:07If they get the question right the first time, they step off the plank, go to the back
15:13of the line, and the next person goes.
15:14If they get the question wrong, they have to take a step forward, and they have to answer
15:19another question.
15:20Three wrong questions, you jump ship.
15:24You're wet.
15:25What's the name of the Greek god of the sea?
15:32Isn't Zeus lightning?
15:33Yes.
15:34Oh.
15:35I guess I'll take a step on this one.
15:37The Greek god of the sea, was that, like, Odysseus or...?
15:42No.
15:43Poseidon.
15:45Good job.
15:46Who's the first U.S. president?
15:47Oh, George Washington.
15:48Yeah.
15:49Nice.
15:50I step off now, right?
15:51Yes.
15:52Easy.
15:53I did not like the feeling of being over the water on this plank of wood, because it does
15:57flex a lot, and I did hear some creaking, so I was a little nervous.
16:01Who played the lead role in the 2019 movie Joker?
16:04I don't know.
16:05Don't say it.
16:06Which company is known for creating the humanoid robot named Asimo?
16:09I don't know.
16:10What do you call a person who prepares and serves coffee?
16:13I go to Starbucks every week.
16:14You should know this.
16:15The, um...
16:16The waiter.
16:17Waitress.
16:18Yeah.
16:19Oh, barista.
16:21Love you.
16:22Love you.
16:23Bye.
16:24Who wrote the play Romeo and Juliet?
16:28So easy.
16:29Oh, my gosh.
16:30Ugh.
16:31Leonardo.
16:32Step up.
16:33L.A.
16:34Oh, my God.
16:35I wrote this book, too.
16:36It's like Shakespeare?
16:37Yeah.
16:38Good job.
16:39William Shakespeare.
16:40Hey.
16:41Which band released Abbey Road?
16:43Abbey Road?
16:44Uh, bup bup bup bup bup bup bup bup bup bup bup bup bup bup.
16:59Guns or Roses?
17:00Who founded Microsoft?
17:03Who founded Microsoft?
17:09You might as well just jump in.
17:10I don't know.
17:11Who founded Microsoft?
17:13Bill Gates.
17:14Bill Gates.
17:17Oh, God, her head's...
17:18Oh, crap!
17:19Some of the questions, I guess you could say,
17:21were mom blonde moments.
17:23What is the largest organ in the human body?
17:26Penis!
17:28No.
17:29Is it the brain?
17:31No.
17:32Or the liver?
17:33Nope.
17:34The heart?
17:35Nope.
17:36Okay, you can't be guessing.
17:37Is it the scan?
17:41How'd you know?
17:42What is the most downloaded app of all time as of 2023?
17:45Amazon.
17:47Which economic principle is known as the invisible hand?
17:51Oh, yes.
17:53I don't know that.
17:55Which economic principle is known as the invisible hand?
18:00Supply and demand.
18:01Supply and demand.
18:02Here you go.
18:05I didn't know we could do a graceful slide.
18:07Yeah.
18:08Our toes are...
18:09Oh!
18:10I am standing right here.
18:17I wanted to slide in.
18:19I was very abruptly shoved in.
18:24I heard lovely Alex.
18:26All people, she thought, I don't trust my children, I only trust Alex.
18:29And who?
18:30Because I'm sure he was coerced.
18:32It wouldn't have happened.
18:34All you have to do is get one right by default to get off the board.
18:38Go out to the end.
18:40You're on the end.
18:41Who painted the Mona Lisa?
18:44Leonardo da Vinci?
18:47Right.
18:48Thank God.
18:49This was a fun game, but I think it was more fun because of the fact I won and I didn't have to jump in the water.
18:57Thank God.
18:58This was a great way to, and a memorable way, to end the pool season.
19:04Now we can clean up.
19:05Yes, I know, I'm leaking.
19:07Now we can clean up.
19:09It smells a little bit like swamp water.
19:11We can clean up and get ready for the fall fest.
19:16See, you really wanted to get in.
19:18All I really wanted to do was beat Emma, and I did that.
19:21I just went after Emma.
19:23I really can't believe I messed up on a Beatles song.
19:28You look like you want to talk all night, and I'm over here like throwing lungs on the floor.
19:46Fall festival is tomorrow, and after the fall festival, we have an exciting surprise for Bryce and Elizabeth.
19:52So when are we going to go take Bryce and Elizabeth over to show them that lot?
19:56I mean, we just got to find the right moment, the right time to...
20:00When they're both home for more.
20:01When they're both home, when you and I are both home.
20:03And Emma can watch the baby for a little bit.
20:05And Emma can watch the baby for a little bit.
20:07Several weeks ago, Amber and I came across an amazing deal on a home lot that was available.
20:13This building lot is in the same neighborhood as we are in and Bryce's mom and dad are in as well.
20:19You know, Elizabeth and Bryce definitely, I think, have the thoughts that they want to move farther away from both us and Bryce's parents.
20:31So we don't want them to feel pressured that they have to take this lot.
20:35We just want them to know that it's available if they would choose to build on it.
20:40But, you know, if not, we totally understand.
20:44So I think when we tell, when we offer the lot to Elizabeth and Bryce, you know, I don't, I think we need to make sure that it's not like we're forcing it.
20:53Like, this is what you have to do.
20:55No.
20:56This is a gift and it's an offer.
20:57I mean, there were different times in Trent and I's lives that both of our parents, you know, assisted us in different ways.
21:06And therefore, Trent and I want to be able to do the same.
21:09And something that we wanted to do is be able to assist them in, you know, purchasing their first home.
21:17It's not a gift hoping you guys do this.
21:19It's a gift that we would love for you to.
21:23If not, we understand.
21:24And there's no loss.
21:28You know, we would love for Elizabeth and Bryce and Layton to live nearby, but obviously it is up to them.
21:34And, you know, we'll just wait and see what they decide.
21:37And we will support whatever they decide.
21:40Here.
21:41I love you.
21:42I love you.
21:43Oh, you came back for another one.
21:44I can tell.
21:45I know this.
21:46After 30 years.
21:47Yeah, if I do like this.
21:48Oh, God.
21:49That's the side.
21:50Oh, Lord.
21:51I'm so getting laid tonight.
21:53I'm so...
21:54Turn off your light.
21:58Give me a night kiss.
21:59Yeah, I'm feeling real sweet cause life's alright.
22:09And I feel like nothing's gonna break my stride.
22:12Got my mind on the mission in my eye on the ball.
22:14So who all's coming?
22:15We have Ryan and Sean and his family, and their family.
22:18Yep.
22:19That's five.
22:20We have Emma's friend Luz.
22:21We have Daisy.
22:22Six, seven.
22:23We have Heidi and Ella.
22:24Eight, nine.
22:25We have Bryce's parents.
22:27So we're having a fall gathering with friends and family.
22:31Jonah and Alex put black tablecloths across that island, these two, and, you know, to kind
22:36of kick off the season, the holiday season.
22:40Since things did not go well with Alex and Emma and Ana during their talk, we felt like
22:46it would be best to not invite Ana or inform Ana of the fall festival that we're hosting.
22:51Who's that?
22:54Daisy.
22:55So, Daisy is a good LP friend of mine, and we met at a convention years ago in Florida.
23:01And we have been friends now going on for eight years.
23:04We gotta set up games.
23:06So that's what...
23:07How many games do we play?
23:09We have bobbing for apples, so we need the big...
23:14Oh, I gotta go get that tote.
23:15Get that.
23:16Bobbing for apples.
23:17Because last time we did that, that was so cold.
23:19Keep your hands to yourself.
23:22She gargled underwater.
23:26I'll never forget how cold the cranberry sauce was at Thanksgiving.
23:30Oh, yeah.
23:31God, I forgot about that.
23:32That was some of the coldest stuff I've been.
23:34Awful.
23:35The last time Daisy came down for a holiday was Thanksgiving a couple years ago, and our
23:40last competition was us dressing up as these inflatable turkeys.
23:44And my dad thought, you know, to amp it up, we should wrestle in cranberry.
23:48Apple sauce.
23:49My strategy getting in was just, like, I wanted to win.
23:50And there was no rules, so she was going down one way or the other.
23:55After we made, you know, Daisy do that, and especially Carol, too, making them do these
24:01kind of events, that's why I selected them to be my friends, because I knew they would
24:06always come back.
24:07Okay.
24:08Damn.
24:09Let's head out, and we will set up games.
24:12I have a question.
24:13What?
24:14What's the question?
24:15Do you know why we're filling this up the water?
24:16Bobbing for apples.
24:17We're bobbing for apples.
24:18Bobbing for apples?
24:19What is that?
24:20Oh, my gosh.
24:21You've got to bite it with your teeth.
24:22And see how many apples you can get.
24:23He's definitely never done a fall test.
24:24I already know what game I'm not playing.
24:25I've never even heard of this game until we played it this year.
24:38Everybody's spitting their slobber in all that water.
24:41I'm not putting my face in that.
24:43Hey, Mr. Chuck.
24:50Oh, hello.
24:51Sorry.
24:52Hey, Mr. Chuck.
24:54Or, just, poppin GT.
24:56Layton is still sleeping good.
24:58Happy fall, y'all.
25:04What?
25:05We have some twins going on?
25:07We didn't even plan this.
25:11Do you know if Ana's showing up?
25:14We still haven't heard from her.
25:16So she doesn't ever come over, ever?
25:19Florida.
25:21I see the stuff that she posts.
25:24See, she has this blog, so I don't see nothing unless,
25:26like, yeah.
25:27Oh, I'll show you.
25:28I don't even know if I want to see.
25:30I was, I'll say, I don't even know if I want to see.
25:31My current relationship with Ana is non-existent,
25:35and that is simply just by her choice.
25:38She has not wanted to come around the family,
25:41do anything with the family.
25:43She doesn't call or check on y'all, or.
25:46I haven't gotten a text from her in a long time.
25:49I still have online.
25:50I'm sticking my job.
25:51I got nothing from her.
25:52Ana has not reached out to me at any point,
25:55asking how her niece is doing, how Layton's doing.
25:58My siblings and I are like, OK, if she's
26:02having a hard time of wanting to fix things with mom and dad,
26:05that's her thing.
26:06But if she really wanted to reach out and hang out
26:08with her siblings, she could message us.
26:10She could reach out to us.
26:13And we're not even doing that, so.
26:16But all of y'all are blocked?
26:17Mm-hmm.
26:18She's blocked my mom on social media, me,
26:21and then as far as like our locations,
26:24because we keep track of our locations.
26:26And I told Bryson, I told him like,
26:28I'm blocking her off the locations,
26:30because she doesn't need to know where we're at.
26:33But for now, I'm just trying to put it out of my mind.
26:46There we go.
26:47He went through the hole.
26:48Today, we have our fall fest, and we
26:51are having friends and family over, and just have fun.
26:54I got your hair.
26:55Don't worry.
26:55All right.
26:56Bobbing for apples would be a fall festival tradition,
27:00because that is when apples are in season.
27:04But there's also a theory out there,
27:06or a tradition out there, where women would bob for apples.
27:12And the first woman that could bite into an apple,
27:15either in the water or on the string,
27:18would be the next woman selected to marry.
27:21So I just have to take a bite.
27:23Take a bite.
27:23Yeah.
27:24Yeah, just take a bite.
27:25Come on.
27:31I did not do that.
27:32I was probably holding your hair.
27:35I was holding your hair.
27:36Oh, you cannot bob an apple.
27:38Oh, Ella, you and your arm.
27:43You're dead.
27:45I do not want to bob for apples.
27:46I am good.
27:47I am staying away from it.
27:49I don't want to have my fate lie on whether or not
27:53I'm good at bobbing for apples.
27:55I'll just let time do its thing.
27:57So no one's getting married.
27:58There you go.
28:07How's everything?
28:09How's life?
28:10How's being a mom?
28:13It has been definitely an interesting year.
28:17It has been a long year, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
28:20Yes.
28:21Leighton has definitely been the biggest and best thing that's
28:26ever happened to me.
28:28She's definitely made me prioritize her over everything.
28:31Yeah.
28:31My life is Leighton.
28:33My brain is Leighton, Leighton, Leighton, Leighton.
28:35And unfortunately, sometimes some texts
28:37I get from Daisy or Carol or friends of mine,
28:40I either open them and read them and forget to reply to them,
28:43or I don't reply to them until like three days later.
28:46Or they just call me and they're like, hey, are you OK?
28:48And I'm like, yeah, why?
28:49Well, you opened a message, but you never replied.
28:52Sorry, busy with Leighton.
28:53She's almost one, and that's crazy.
28:56This time last year, I was super pregnant with her.
28:58That is so crazy that she's almost one.
29:00Time literally flies.
29:01Yeah.
29:02And I am so proud of you because, yes, it was unexpected.
29:05Just watching you be a mom has been like, oh,
29:08you're going to make me emotional.
29:09But watching being a mom is like, I'm so proud of you.
29:12Hearing Daisy say all these sweet things,
29:14it makes me feel good because it makes me feel
29:16like I am doing something right in the end
29:19that other people are seeing.
29:21Because parenting is definitely a whole different world,
29:25for sure.
29:26We have been through a lot in this last year.
29:28We sure have.
29:30So we are going to have a competition
29:34because we can't do anything Johnston way
29:36without a competition.
29:38So we are going to do hay bale stacking.
29:42Hay bale stacking works this way.
29:44We have two teams of four.
29:45You start off with two of the players at one end,
29:51the other two players at the other end.
29:53The two players at the end that have the hay bales,
29:56they must carry one hay bale per two people,
30:00carry it down, set it at the end
30:02where the other two people are.
30:03They have to do that five times, stack five hay bales.
30:07Then the two people at the end where those five hay bales are stacked,
30:10must do the same thing.
30:12Carry one hay bale together and stack it at the opposite end
30:16until they stack five up.
30:18The team that does it the quickest, gets all five stacked up,
30:22wins the game.
30:24Emma.
30:25It's not, um, talk about who left who out.
30:28Yeah, okay.
30:29Hi, Daisy.
30:30Wow.
30:31Don't worry, I'll be the last one.
30:33I told you.
30:34So each of our teams had to consist of four people,
30:37and we had to choose amongst all the guests.
30:39Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.
30:40I'm just going strictly on shoes.
30:41Get your tiger by itself.
30:42It's not, it's not that I hadn't had this before.
30:45Ella, Ella.
30:46It might have been about 40 years ago.
30:48Okay, so you still need one more of us.
30:49I still need one more.
30:50You need to get a...
30:51I told Jonas to pick.
30:52Heidi.
30:53Heidi.
30:54Uh, there is no strategy.
30:55I vowed to pick the worst team I could ever think of possible,
30:59because when we did pull out the win,
31:00I would feel twice as prideful,
31:02being that I didn't have a stacked team.
31:04We were the clear underdogs, but we persevered and we won.
31:08Should we pick Lice?
31:09Hmm.
31:10No, no, no, no, no.
31:11Oh, my God, he's mouthed at me now, so Brett.
31:13I'm good, too, Brett.
31:14Yeah, yeah, yeah.
31:16I chose to not be on Elizabeth's team, number one.
31:20Definitely with her being on my team during the scavenger hunt,
31:23I felt like I should switch it up
31:26just so we don't get aggravated together.
31:28What are you talking about?
31:30Like, are we okay right now?
31:31No, because you don't know how to go do a car wash.
31:34Go!
31:35Number two, I wanted to be a competition between me and her.
31:41Well, he was a jerk,
31:42and I should have threw a hay bale at him.
31:48So since this jerk wanted to be on the other side of the team,
31:51I chose his brother, who is practically like him physically.
31:54Me and Brett were working great as a team,
31:56and we were actually ahead of them.
31:58And then I selected Em and Ella,
31:59because I'm like, they're relatively the same speed,
32:01and they work together great as a team,
32:03because I've seen them play sports.
32:04I said, we got this in the bag.
32:06Little did I know that these two little ditz
32:08did not pay attention on how this race goes.
32:12We'll help you down. You two go back.
32:13Oh, .
32:14No, you're going to grab the bale!
32:16Oh, .
32:17First of all, they didn't remember
32:19that they needed the bale of hay.
32:21They're just running.
32:23They just ran up the hill and was like,
32:25oh, we forgot the hay.
32:28Oh, .
32:29It's a big one, Heidi.
32:31Oh, they're going to win.
32:32You got it, you got it.
32:33You got to get it.
32:34Oh, yeah.
32:35There we go.
32:35There we go.
32:36What?
32:37You got to split.
32:38Oh, we got to keep it.
32:39We should split it.
32:40Aw.
32:41There you go.
32:43Yeah, they totally win.
32:44Yeah.
32:45Yeah.
32:46And the winner is Daisy and Bryce's team.
32:49Woo!
32:50Woo!
32:51So I should have done a better job explaining
32:55to those two girls, who I love so much,
32:58on how a hay bale race works.
33:01Trent and I will be captain.
33:03I'm going to choose Alex.
33:05I got Ryan.
33:08Sean.
33:09Brett.
33:10No!
33:11No, no, no, no, no!
33:12I would say being average height is definitely
33:15a big advantage when it comes to hay bale stacking.
33:18Simply because of taller people, you can stack quicker
33:23and higher.
33:25Alyssa.
33:26Who's paying?
33:27He can't be.
33:28Mom, pick Bryce.
33:29Mom, pick Bryce.
33:30There's Bryce.
33:31Bryce.
33:32Look at me.
33:33Well, Jonah, I mean, Trent messed this all up.
33:35No, I did not.
33:36Yes, you did.
33:37No.
33:38So when Trent picks his team, I mean, it's clear.
33:40He's cheating already.
33:41We were only supposed to have one tall person on our team.
33:44He had three.
33:47Ready?
33:48Go!
33:49I'll help us back.
33:50We're just going to drop the ball.
33:51That one was going to go in the bottom.
33:52Run!
33:53Run!
33:54Run!
33:55Run!
33:56Go!
33:57Go!
33:58Go!
33:59Go!
34:00Go!
34:01Go!
34:02Go!
34:03Go!
34:04Go!
34:05Go!
34:06Go!
34:07Go!
34:08Go!
34:09Go!
34:10Go!
34:11Go!
34:12Go!
34:13Go!
34:14Go!
34:15Go!
34:16This is what happened.
34:17Him having three tall people.
34:18One engine on the airplane with two wings.
34:19He lost.
34:21And the winner is clearly Amber's team.
34:25So winning both rounds of the Hay Bale race.
34:32Especially knowing how competitive the Johnson family is, it definitely feels good for me to
34:38win.
34:39Damn, that was a lot of exercise...
34:42Overall the 구EMAN plays a little bit of an instrument to go.
34:43Overall, this Fall Fest was amazing.
34:47It was great to get to catch up with friends and family.
34:50And just this was like fun stuff.
34:53And it kicks off the season.
34:53Nobody wants to go into the holidays being a loser.
34:58You want to be a winner.
35:01The next game, bobbing for apples, Heidi versus Trent.
35:04Oh, hell, I've already been there and done that.
35:06Sorry.
35:07Me too.
35:07Me too.
35:08Amber, Trent ain't going to do it.
35:11OK, come on, Trent.
35:13Something tells me you're better at this.
35:15OK.
35:27So Bryce and I have been looking at land options,
35:30you know, possibilities for us to be able to build a house on.
35:34Today, we are going to show Elizabeth and Bryce
35:37the plot of land that we purchased in our neighborhood.
35:40We have kept this purchase of land
35:42a secret from Bryce and Elizabeth and, of course,
35:45the rest of the family.
35:46And mainly because we're not sure how Bryce and Elizabeth
35:50are going to take it.
35:51But either way, we understand their feelings,
35:53whether they love it or they're unsure.
35:55I wanted to show you all this lot.
35:57Look right there, Bryce.
35:58What do you see right here?
35:59This path.
36:00I was going to say a path, I think.
36:01Yeah.
36:02Deer trails.
36:02Deer trails already.
36:03Deer trails already.
36:04My parents are taking us to go look at a lot.
36:08And I kind of just thought, like, hmm,
36:11we wouldn't be driving out here and just looking at this property
36:14for no reason at all.
36:16So almost to the front of my truck to right there.
36:21This is the width of this lot.
36:22We're either about to buy, we did buy,
36:25or you're about to give us an offer a price
36:27for Bryce and I to buy.
36:28So we'll see.
36:31I see the pond by there.
36:32It's a pretty big lot.
36:33It's a pretty big lot-ish.
36:33See the pond by there?
36:35So that pond is the cove that comes up in here.
36:38Dad and I were able to get a very good deal on this lot.
36:43When they said we own it, first thing that came to my mind
36:46was, like, I'm just really surprised that out of all the places
36:49that we looked, of course, the piece of property
36:51that comes the cheapest and the best deal happens
36:53to be in the same neighborhood as our parents,
36:56which is really funny, but doesn't shock me
36:58because that would just be our luck.
37:00So now we have a lot that's a little over an acre,
37:07and it's on water, on a pond.
37:10And you and Bryce can build on and be close
37:15to both sets of grandparents, but be in your own place.
37:20I was just, like, thinking at first, I'm like,
37:23do we really want to, like, be in the same neighborhood
37:26with our parents, you know?
37:31Which is very true.
37:32So, I mean, yes, of course, I mean, yeah, they're our parents.
37:36We love them to death.
37:37But with them being super close, it'll still feel like, you know,
37:45I wouldn't say we're still living with them,
37:46but we're still, like, seeing them like we used to.
37:51But this is where I argue that we would be in our own home
37:55if we say yes and we build.
37:57It's a steep.
37:58It is steep.
37:59But when me and Mom walked this lot last month,
38:02I was telling her, y'all can have a really big front yard,
38:05but then just mulch up the backyard, leave some of your trees,
38:08but just have pine straw all the way to the water.
38:09We did in Barnesville.
38:12So I definitely think with this structure of the lot,
38:14it will be a little more time-consuming
38:18because I'm sure the construction people
38:21are going to have to figure out
38:22how to make this piece of land work.
38:24So I think a lot of our money will just ultimately
38:27be dumped into clearing and grading the land
38:30because for us to start the foundation on our home,
38:32we have to have a clear surface,
38:34a clean surface to work with.
38:36If y'all want this lot, this is your down payment
38:38that we will give y'all towards your home.
38:40Yeah.
38:41You don't have to buy a piece of land.
38:42It's done.
38:43So all your money goes towards a home.
38:46If y'all want it, it's definitely yours.
38:53The biggest advantage of taking the land in my dad's offer
38:56is the fact that we would be saving money
38:58and not having to buy land.
39:00Our cons are pretty much we're simply
39:03staying in the same neighborhood as our parents.
39:06The land is still sloped.
39:08So we would have to put a lot of our construction loan
39:10into grading the land.
39:13So we wouldn't really know how much money we would end up
39:15out with in order to build the home.
39:18Get pre-approval for a construction loan
39:20on how much you guys can comfortably do.
39:23Then go to a builder and say, OK,
39:25these are some of the plans we like.
39:30This is our price rate.
39:31This is what we are approved for.
39:34So we're not sure that we're going to take
39:35this piece of property.
39:36I may feel a little pressured about saying no to Trent
39:41about the property because I don't want him to be upset with me
39:45for saying that.
39:47Is this lot something that you guys would want to build on
39:50and live for the next 15, 20 years?
39:58Next time on Seven Little Johnstons.
40:00Yeah.
40:01All right, let's go shell some corn.
40:03I'm visiting Allie and her family on the farm,
40:05and today is the first day of me helping out with harvest.
40:08Oh, he's ready to unload.
40:09He's a little bit closer to me.
40:11This part, you have to concentrate,
40:13and it still is nerve-wracking,
40:15and you don't want to go too fast or too slow.
40:17Yeah, exactly.
40:18That's my fear.
40:21Hello.
40:22Hey, guys.
40:23How are you?
40:24Doing well.
40:24How are you?
40:25We are going to meet with a builder
40:29to give us estimates on, you know,
40:30the home that we would like to have.
40:32For a typical, I'm going to say,
40:34four-bedroom, two-bathroom house,
40:36how long does that typically take for you guys to build?
40:39Um, six to nine months.
40:41Six to nine months.
40:42With the time frame, me and her are a little pressured.
40:45It's important to me to have mine
40:48and her own space with Layton.
40:51So have you talked to Emma and Alex
40:53about their talk with Anna?
40:56They were quite stressed.
40:58It wasn't successful.
40:59That being said, I think you and I should try once more,
41:04and we'll meet at a neutral ground like a coffee shop.
41:09My hope is that she shows up and she can not come in
41:13with a strong defense.
41:16Well, I'm just going to leap because you're coming
41:18into a conversation like that.
41:20You're not there to make any peace whatsoever.
