00:00Told me what?
00:01The last time I saw my dad, he pitched
00:03the backyard as a wedding venue.
00:06I really don't have words.
00:08I'm really just trying to wrap my head around it all.
00:11Hey, mom.
00:12Bechner, I would like to have like a sleepover,
00:14like a hangout with you.
00:16I'm surprised that Bechner requested to have a sleepover
00:18with me because, like me, he suffers from anxiety.
00:22Hola, como estas?
00:24Muy bien, YouTube?
00:25Muy bien.
00:26How you doing, man?
00:27Good.
00:28Stay on a sleepover.
00:29Decided where you're having your wedding at?
00:33We got no idea.
00:34Well, there's always an open option.
00:37The backyard.
00:40I know exactly who put Bechner up to this.
00:42Thank you, Alan.
00:45I don't really know how to say it,
00:47but I do have anxiety, yeah.
00:49What are you anxious about?
00:51Like...
00:51Everything?
00:53Yeah.
00:54Do you care if I talk to you for a second?
00:55Yeah, no, that's fine.
00:57Bechner expressed to me his anxiety.
00:59Yeah.
01:01It's a really big issue.
01:02I was talking to Bechner last night, and he opened up to me about his anxieties and some of the OCD traits that I see.
01:16Yeah.
01:17It's a really big issue.
01:18I see a lot of myself in Bechner.
01:21I see a lot of myself in Bechner, and from my own journey and from my own standpoint, I do worry a little bit that Bechner could develop OCD, and without help, you're just swimming in your own thoughts all day.
01:36Like...
01:37I mean, I think he's...
01:38He's definitely aware of it.
01:39Yeah, and I'm aware of it.
01:40We're aware of it, too.
01:41Okay.
01:42Okay.
01:43Balen approaching me about Bechner kind of implies at first, like, maybe I didn't know what was going on with him, but this is not the first conversation that we've ever had where she has concern about a sibling.
01:55This is just who Balen is.
02:09Like, she has such a level of deep love for her siblings, not just Bechner.
02:15He does a really good job of hiding it and putting on his big, tough Bechner act.
02:20Bechner doesn't hold back much with being open about his thoughts and his feelings.
02:25We just take it day by day.
02:27If we found out that Tourette's was already in the family and OCD already ran in the family, then we would be able to, like, as parents, have that, like, awareness before, like, the kid.
02:38Does that make any type of sense?
02:39Totally makes sense.
02:40That's why generational diagnoses mean so much, but Bechner doesn't have a diagnosis, so that means he can't get treatment for it.
02:48We have been tackling these family generational disorders for years that have genetic components to them.
02:55You know, the tics and the Tourette and the OCD, but these are abstract conditions.
03:01This isn't you go in for an MRI, they tell you what's wrong, and they come up with a fix.
03:06There is not a recipe of knowing when you need medical help.
03:11Could he get to the point where maybe he needs some sort of interventional therapy?
03:15No, but it's about the diagnosis.
03:17Because if Bechner found out all of these things now, and he was able to treat them now instead of at 15 years old...
03:24I'm not medicating an 11-year-old. I'm not.
03:28It's not about medication, but for him to get treated for it, he needs the diagnosis.
03:33I mean, obviously, my eyes are open to it, right? You know what I mean?
03:39I don't know. Bechner's such a good kid.
03:43With my own medical journey, and the pain and the hurt that I went through, I turned it into passion.
03:53And it's helped me be 100% more aware of other people and their emotions.
04:01I just want my vacuum.
04:05I think that she's taken those pieces of struggle and transformed them into power.
04:11And her ability to see the lost, broken, hurt parts of other people, because that's who she was.
04:17I'm really glad that you brought that up.
04:21I think it's just important to keep the conversation alive.
04:25You're always trying to stay ahead of the game.
04:27Because when you let things go, like I feel like we let things go a little bit with Balin,
04:31and you're backpedaling, and it's not fair to them.
04:34But with that being said, I feel like we've gotten a little bit better at it.
04:38So my gut tells me that I will know when it's time to seek more help for Bechner, if needed.
04:55Why are you stacking them?
04:56I'm gonna start out here with one board and screw it down.
04:58Oh, hey, dude. What's up?
05:00Vector, you wanna help me?
05:01What is this?
05:03Why is one higher than the other?
05:04This is a registration location for Balin's wedding.
05:08Al's always ahead of himself on projects.
05:11I have plans.
05:12Are you channeling the field of dreams?
05:13Oh, my gosh.
05:14I am building the field of dreams.
05:15If I do build it, maybe they will show up.
05:18Maybe it will happen.
05:20I'm lost.
05:21Yeah, we're all lost.
05:22Vector, did you talk to Balin for me?
05:23Yeah.
05:24I feel like I did a pretty good job.
05:26Of convincing her?
05:27Yeah.
05:28What?
05:29Yeah.
05:30I almost feel like it's kinda low of Al to use Vector as, like, this vessel to creep in and, like, push forward with the backyard venue.
05:40I'm not working, and that's a brilliant idea.
05:43And if anybody Vector knows what's going on, he's smarter than the majority of us.
05:48I'm still waiting on my payment.
05:50You're good.
05:51You're good.
05:52It's in the mail.
05:53Done.
05:54Done.
05:55Look at that.
05:56You want me to take it from here?
05:57Yeah.
05:58I'm gonna go play games.
06:00Wow.
06:01Thanks for the help, buddy.
06:03Good luck on...
06:04I don't even know what that is.
06:06It's here.
06:07Did you really tell him to put in a good stinking word about the backyard?
06:12Yeah, I did.
06:14I wanted Vector to kinda give me an idea.
06:16Have they found a place?
06:17Have they not?
06:18I don't know.
06:19I'm just in the dark.
06:20We have no idea how many people.
06:22We have no idea about timeframe, like, what month to be picked a day.
06:28I mean, I know it's their thing, but hopefully she incorporates Sammy and me.
06:35Since Balaam got engaged nine months ago, I'm aware of almost no plans.
06:39The doors have not been opened for me yet.
06:42I'd love even, like, some pictures when they're, like, checking out these places.
06:46Like, hey, Mom, this is where we're at.
06:48Oh, I don't know.
06:50I'll ask her eventually.
06:51I just, I'm just trying not to be so intrusive.
06:53That said, something else that came up at the sleepover is her concern about Beck's obsessions
07:01and compulsions and the idea of, like, a formal diagnosis.
07:06Like...
07:07For what?
07:08OCD, anxiety stuff.
07:10My immediate thought, honestly, is that he's being a boy, he's being rambunctious.
07:17It's just...
07:18I'm not too concerned about it.
07:20But having Balaam look after him is priceless to me.
07:23I think that her concern is coming from a good place because her OCD rules her life.
07:29But Beckner's so high-functioning.
07:32He just let him be a boy for a while.
07:34I look at him as more gifted at this point.
07:37Yeah.
07:38Having multiple children with OCD, it's like anything else in life.
07:41It comes and goes.
07:42It falls under that, like, general anxiety where if it becomes every single day it's starting
07:47to build up, then it's like, whoa, hang on a second, what's going on?
07:50Then it's a different conversation.
07:52We listen, we know when to act, but it's never ignored.
07:55No.
07:56Beckner's doesn't warrant attention.
07:59But Al, she's so preoccupied that these things run in families, and that is smart to know.
08:03It's super important.
08:04Yeah.
08:05And if she and Colin have kids, there's a good chance they're going to need some kind of medical intervention
08:10and good health insurance.
08:11That's why it's important that that's your number one priority when it comes to searching for jobs.
08:18The importance of medical insurance, especially when you're younger,
08:22is so imperative that without it, it almost guarantees you a path to poverty.
08:28One car accident, one mishap, one medical condition, and you will now be poor.
08:37It doesn't hurt to have a conversation and throw health insurance back in there.
08:43You are going to have a wife with Tourette syndrome, and we don't know if it's ever going to get better.
08:48They might think that we're nagging, but I think it's just a poke, like, just remember this is worrying us.
08:54We don't know yet what Colin's future job will be, and I would feel a little bit more comforted
09:01if I knew he was going to do something where I felt like that they were both going to be taken care of.
09:06For the children.
09:14So I want to talk to you about something.
09:16Over the last several months, I have had a lot of stress regarding what to do with my career
09:23after the military.
09:24This allows me to be me and make the decisions that I think are right.
09:29So, welcome to Aeriali.
09:31Oh, it's, like, romantic.
09:34This wedding venue feels more like us now as far as pricing.
09:39It could be anywhere from $12,000 to $50,000.
09:53Oh, my, I'm sorry.
09:54I'm sorry.
09:55I'm sorry.
09:56I'm sorry.
09:57What is that?
09:58Oh, that's a fat pimple.
09:59Her name's Susan.
10:02We're on our way to a wedding venue about an hour outside of DC.
10:05And I'm so excited to get back into touring wedding venues and getting in, like, the wedding mood.
10:13He's thrilled.
10:14So I want to talk to you about something.
10:17Over the last several months, I have had a lot of stress regarding what to do with my career after the military.
10:26So before we reach this new wedding venue, I have something really important to tell Vaylin.
10:31And I'm a little nervous.
10:32I'm seriously considering real estate as a possible career option after the military.
10:39I'm not going to say that it's, like, shocking to me to find out that this is what you want to do,
10:47because I've known that any job you got outside of the military was not going to be...
10:53A corporate job.
10:54Yes.
10:55Yeah.
10:56I was really interested in real estate before I joined the military.
10:59I even did a course in course exams.
11:02I just never took my state licensing exam.
11:04I joined the military instead.
11:06So I've always had the interest in it.
11:09It's just never been the right time.
11:11It's a career where I can see myself going into work every single day and, like, being happy.
11:17Like, it's not like a nine-to-five.
11:20I'm getting paid whenever I close on a house.
11:23So there might be, like, three months where I don't collect a single paycheck.
11:28What benefits does it come with?
11:30Freedom.
11:31Okay.
11:32Okay.
11:33But not the benefits that you are talking about.
11:36It's a big benefit, but it's also, like, a really big risk with not having actual and literal benefits.
11:43I mean, yeah, but you make enough money, hopefully, that you can afford healthcare.
11:49My medical bills are a lot.
11:52I'm currently covered under my parents' health insurance.
11:55However, a couple years from now, I won't be.
11:59Like, that's kind of like...
12:00So how do people do it at first?
12:02If you're barely making any money at first, how are...
12:05Paying out of pocket, you save.
12:08Colin is very ambitious and very hardworking, but there is a lot of uncertainties with no benefits and no healthcare and not a steady paycheck.
12:17So that's just scary.
12:19How would we even pay for that?
12:23I don't know.
12:24I'm still trying to figure everything out.
12:26First things first, we need to find a wedding venue.
12:31Like, figuring out what we like and what we don't like is so much fun.
12:36We're getting really close to when we want our wedding to happen, and we don't have a venue yet.
12:42The indoor wedding venue was kind of a bust.
12:44Her dad pitched the idea of his backyard being a venue, and I'm glad that we're back on the road looking at actual venues, so...
12:55Do you know what color suit you want to wear?
12:57Some kind of blue or...
12:59I don't... I'm gonna be honest. I don't dig the blue.
13:01I mean...
13:02Because my eyes are blue.
13:03So anytime I wear blue, my eyes pop.
13:05I'm like the creator of the wedding, and he's like the...
13:11Whatever he is.
13:13You're more of the planner, and I'm more of the decorator, and that's why we're not wearing blue.
13:19Who ends up winning? Me.
13:21Yeah, there's gonna be a lot of compromise.
13:26For you.
13:28I hope that we can, like, envision ourselves getting married here, you know?
13:31Yeah.
13:35Oh my gosh, no.
13:36This place is so pretty.
13:37I don't even think this is the whole thing.
13:38Don't be afraid to jump and fall.
13:39This place is amazing.
13:41It's so open.
13:42It's so gorgeous.
13:43It's giving me old money vibes.
13:44This place is so pretty.
13:45It's like a mansion.
13:46Yeah.
13:47It's like a mansion.
13:48Yeah.
13:49It's like a mansion.
13:50We'll move to cocktail hour.
13:51We'll move to cocktail hour.
13:52We'll look at reception.
13:53You are more than welcome to interrupt me.
13:54For any questions that you have.
13:55We'll go through everything.
13:56Perfect.
13:58You're welcome.
13:59Let's go.
14:00Sweet.
14:01Oh, it's like romantic.
14:02This is so pretty.
14:03This is so pretty.
14:04This is so pretty.
14:05This is so pretty.
14:06This is so pretty.
14:07Oh, what are you?
14:09It's like a mansion.
14:10Yeah.
14:11It's like a mansion.
14:12It's like a mansion.
14:13Yeah.
14:14It's like a mansion.
14:15Yeah.
14:16It's effing huge.
14:17Hello.
14:18How are you?
14:19Nice to meet both of you.
14:20Nice to meet you.
14:21Nice to meet you.
14:22Nice to meet you.
14:23I'm Erica.
14:24So, welcome to Aralee.
14:25So, for the tour today, we're going to look at where ceremony would be.
14:27romantic. This is so pretty. This is so pretty. That's like a little mushroom. So then we come
14:35down here and this is where a ceremony would be. Oh my god. Bitch. Okay. So you have multiple
14:45different spaces that you could stand. So you could stand right where you are and have the
14:48archway as the background. You could also stand over here in front of the hydranias. Oh wow.
14:55And you would come out of the garden. I would come out of the garden like a fairy. Yeah. Like a fairy.
15:00Fairy. This wedding venue feels more like us. I feel really comfortable ticking because it's outdoors
15:09and it smells fresh. Literally. My parents' backyard smells like horse manure. This place is a step
15:15closer towards our vision and it's just like your mouth has dropped the whole time. Okay. Here's one
15:19of the most important questions. Do you guys allow animals? Absolutely. We do. We have
15:25bunnies, deer, foxes. Do you have horses? We have. Not at the moment we don't have any
15:30horses but we do allow horses. What about have you guys ever had alpacas? No. So there's an alpaca
15:36or a llama farm right up the road actually. Yes. For sure. It is fate. If Bailyn gets her alpacas
15:43then I definitely get my horse. Only if it's attached to a carriage. Nope.
15:48This would be reception space. Maria! You can just head on in. Thank you. You're welcome. Look at the lights.
15:59This is sick. This is insane. Mm-hmm. So this is the pavilion. What is great about the space is all of these
16:06windows are actually doors so they can open up for an indoor-outdoor feel. It's so gorgeous and it has so
16:11much natural lighting but indoor spaces can set off my ticks so it's really comforting knowing that all
16:17the windows and doors open up. And as far as like the food. You can do buffet or plated. I'm not sure
16:24if you guys have an idea of which way you're wanting to go but we can do either or in this space. Do you
16:28guys do like grilled cheese sliders? So we do all kinds of things. We have a late night bites list that
16:33has chicken and waffles. It has cupcake bar. It has the fry time. Do you have any ice cream? We can make ice
16:39ice cream. A queso fountain. I have a wedding doing a queso fountain here this August. Do you really? I do.
16:44I mean when I hear the words queso fountain. Diarrhea, bitch. Sorry. I mean. Cha-cha-cha.
16:53And for our guests, where is the closest place for them to stay? Here. Like 180 people could stay here.
17:03We have 123 rooms on property. We also have two cottages. So you would actually get a complimentary room the night of your wedding.
17:09It's an all-inclusive. That's just amazing and we haven't seen a venue like that.
17:16Now as far as pricing, how would it be for a weekend between May and June?
17:22Pricing is a very wide range. So like a day of wedding, it could be anywhere from 12 to 50,000.
17:28But I do send you a proposal so you have a good idea of what it would look like.
17:32Everything about this place seems perfect. But then when the price is brought up...
17:38Your heart drops to your ass.
17:40Do you guys have any questions for in here?
17:42I do not. I'm just obsessed with the whole property.
17:46I can very much see myself getting married here.
17:51The price has got to be right.
17:53Why ain't it? This is what the case of that one is going to look like.
17:55Yep.
17:57You guys are getting married. You're going to eventually want children.
18:01Colin's not 100% sure what his next path is.
18:05Like a medical plan is probably the number one thing when it comes to jobs.
18:09At some point, you're going to have to trust me to be able to take care of your daughter.
18:13Oh, you got this stuff!
18:32How are you? Good to see you.
18:34We're going through doggy outfits.
18:36Okay, perfect. So that's what we're doing?
18:38Basically, I need to organize them to see if they still fit them or not.
18:42Okay! These puppies have more clothes than I do.
18:45Here's Tootsie's in the finest. You go, Tootsie!
18:49Would you wear these at the wedding too? Huh?
18:53Hey, Tootsie. Does Valen have good taste when it comes to your fashion?
18:59Fluff. You like this, Fluff?
19:02He goes, absolutely not, Mom.
19:04Fluffy, what do you think about your dress?
19:07You like Tootsie's bathing suit? Nothing but modest in this house.
19:13Okay!
19:14This is what Colin would want me in for the wedding.
19:16Colin would be like, this is it!
19:18Speaking of that, how is that going?
19:19It's going.
19:20It's going!
19:22We just got done looking at a wedding venue and it was gorgeous,
19:26but I'm just scared to see how much it's going to cost.
19:29So it might be out of our budget.
19:30So are you excited about looking at dresses, trying them on?
19:34I'm so excited, but I'm a little nervous to try them on.
19:37I need to get in shape first.
19:39My new med, which is a mood stabilizer, makes me gain weight like crazy.
19:43Two years ago, I took a medication and it made me gain 30 pounds in a month.
19:51Not 13, 30!
19:52So I'm a little bit more than concerned going down this route again.
19:56When I tell you nothing fits, my jeans don't fit, I'm surprised my sweatpants do.
20:03My bras, I don't know what's going on.
20:05I need to be able to walk down the aisle, not be rolled, okay?
20:09But having said that, I've looked at pictures online of like dresses,
20:14but I've never, I haven't tried any on.
20:16Should we look at some?
20:16Let's do it!
20:17That's the thing!
20:18Let's go look at them!
20:19There's two types of style dresses that I can envision myself in either princess style
20:27or a boho dress, but also I change my mind too much.
20:34Okay, cute.
20:35What do you like about this one?
20:37So I like, it's like a start to the ruffles.
20:40You want to have tiers, you want to have layers.
20:42Yes, yes, so that's like the bottom, okay.
20:46This is cute.
20:47I like the silk, but it's too simple.
20:51Okay, I love this.
20:52That is really pretty.
20:53I like, do you like lace?
20:55Yes, but I like the sleeves more.
20:59My sister's going to hate me when she's going to have to button all that.
21:02Is she going to be her maid of honor, right?
21:04Love that.
21:04Yeah.
21:05I know that my mom would love to be as involved as possible, but well,
21:10without a date and without a venue, I don't got no information to give.
21:15But I do know my mom and my sister would be very devastated if I did not take them wedding dress
21:19shopping.
21:20Would they even talk to me?
21:23Like, pink.
21:28Like, would you be open and not have anything else?
21:29Okay, I could do pink, just not this color pink.
21:32What does Colin think about?
21:33Colin doesn't know what I'm wearing when I go down the aisle until I walk down the aisle.
21:38I know Colin wants everything traditional.
21:40White shoes, white veil, white dress.
21:42That sucks.
21:42I will not not be in color.
21:45Oh, okay, that is so pretty.
21:48I like that pink.
21:49I like the train.
21:50I could take that.
21:51Oh, yes.
21:53That's cute.
21:54This is perfect.
21:55There we go.
21:56I like the swirls.
21:57I like how big it is.
21:58It looks so fun to, like, throw around, you know?
22:00Yes.
22:01I am prepared to wear whatever dress, whatever color, whatever style dress I want in hopes
22:07that he will be jaws to the floor.
22:11I want that dress.
22:12What is he going to say if I come down the aisle in a pink, bright, pink dress?
22:15What is he going to do?
22:17Say no?
22:17No.
22:18He won't get your waist up.
22:35I'm glad that Leela was able to watch the babies.
22:37Yeah.
22:39So we're heading to Roanoke this weekend, and I'm excited to fill my family in on
22:44the non-existent wedding planning that's going on, but we have made a little bit of progress.
22:50Chuck's bald.
22:52Marlene's a dirty, fat, filthy, horny whore.
22:54Because of the new tick I have about Marlene, Marlene's a dirty, fat, filthy, horny, lying
23:00bitch, whore.
23:05We think it's best that we stay in the night.
23:09I hope I don't say that tick in front of your mom, even though you told me to say it in front
23:14of your mom.
23:14Yeah.
23:15She knows that you can't control it.
23:17So look her right in the eyes, into her soul.
23:19Marlene's a dirty, fat, filthy, horny whore, you bitch.
23:23Yep.
23:24And you say exactly that.
23:26No.
23:27I want her to get over the fear that she's having, or this anxiety that she's having,
23:33that my mom's going to, like, hate her for saying that.
23:36She knows she's not a fat, dirty, filthy whore.
23:38Horny whore.
23:40It's just like, to have a tick about Colin's mom, it's so inappropriate.
23:45You're bald, sir!
23:48You woke up bald!
23:50Bald!
23:52Bald o'clock!
23:53Chuck is bald!
23:57Hi, Mom.
23:59Hey, Dad.
24:00Hey, Dad.
24:01I'm with Colin.
24:01We're on our way to Roanoke to hang out with the fam.
24:04Okay.
24:05Um, I just wanted to thank you again for being so insightful and compassionate and not afraid
24:13to talk to me about, about Beckner and some of the things that you saw.
24:18And then it kind of prompted your dad and I to think about things.
24:22Okay.
24:23And since you and Colin are obviously in the car together, you guys are really well aware
24:28at this point, what the familial genetic combination is with some of the things that
24:34are going on with the family.
24:35Mm-hmm.
24:36And you guys are getting married.
24:38You're going to eventually want children.
24:40Colin's not 100% sure what his next path is, whether it's staying in the military,
24:44most likely leaving, and I start thinking about medical insurance and I have some concerns.
24:51Mm-hmm.
24:51Like, a medical plan is probably the number one thing when it comes to jobs.
24:56It's not like, what do I want to do because I think it's fun and cool.
24:59It's, what does a medical plan look like?
25:01And then second is, will I make enough money to survive?
25:04So what does this have to do with Beckner?
25:07We're just trying to really help better equip you with, you know, an advantage compared to
25:15figuring it out on your own and making some really serious decisions that may have difficult consequences.
25:22Balen's concern about Beckner is extremely important. That's why it's up to us to explain to our kid
25:31and her fiance, this is why you need healthcare. Balen has a few more years left on my plan. A few
25:38more years from now, when you have children, your child is not on our plan. You need to do the best
25:43you can do for your family because if not, you better fix yourself.
25:47It's not just about medical insurance for you, Balen, but it's for your kids.
25:52Can someone just get to where this is going? Because I'm so confused. Like, what is going on?
26:00Is Beckner okay?
26:00We're just watching him go. He's just a rambunctious kid. And at this point,
26:05we're just really not pursuing anything.
26:06So you guys came to the conclusion that you guys aren't taking him to the doctor?
26:10No. I think that we are like a safe, secure spot for him. And if it gets to a point,
26:17where things seem to change, then, like, we've already been through this where we're like,
26:21uh-huh, so.
26:22Mm-hmm. I'm a little disappointed in them not taking Beckner to the doctor,
26:27but I trust them with whatever decision they make. They're parenting, not me.
26:31Well, I appreciate you guys telling me.
26:34Well, we won't keep you. We love you guys, all right?
26:36All right, love you too.
26:37We'll keep you a little bit, honey.
26:38Okay, bye.
26:39Okay, love you, bye.
26:41Bye.
26:42Anywho, I know what my parents mean with health insurance.
26:46I mean, my medical files are, like, this thick. And a lot of my siblings are pretty thick, too.
26:52I mean, your dad kind of lost me when he said stability and having health care
26:57is more important than doing something that you enjoy.
27:01I know that Colin's happiness isn't in the military, but I know it's hard for my parents,
27:06especially my dad, to trust that everything's going to work out just fine.
27:09He wants to know that there's a plan in place for a stable future.
27:13It's our life, our family, it's our household that we're going to be building.
27:19We need to be able to make decisions by ourselves. And if that involves a job that doesn't provide
27:26health benefits, like real estate, then that's something that we would have to figure out on our
27:33own. I understand that Valen's parents are worried about their daughter, but we're about to get
27:38married. And at some point, you're going to have to trust me to be able to take care of your daughter.
27:45But at the end of the day, nobody's going to tell me what job I'm going to choose.
27:49You're going to have to trust me.
28:03You're going to have to trust me.
28:06You're going to have to trust me.
28:08Yay!
28:09I'm here.
28:10Yay!
28:11Oh, she's got a dress on.
28:12How are you?
28:13Good.
28:14How are y'all?
28:15Good.
28:16I'm Vaylin.
28:17Hi.
28:18How are you?
28:19I'm good.
28:20How are you?
28:21You look so pretty.
28:22Aw, you look so pretty.
28:23Aw, thank you.
28:24It is very hard to go a couple of months without seeing my son.
28:25It's just, I like talking to him a lot.
28:27Aw, I'm glad you got to come in.
28:28I'm missing you.
28:29I mean, it's been months since they got engaged, so I'd love to just get an idea of where
28:34they're at with all of the planning.
28:36I haven't heard anything.
28:37I just, I like details.
28:38What have you guys been doing in the meantime?
28:40Well, we're still looking at, uh, we're still looking at venues.
28:46Um, that was good.
28:48Pretty accurate, if I do say so myself.
28:52Oh, Lord.
28:53Um, we've went and seen a couple venues.
28:55One was indoor.
28:56Like, all indoors.
28:58High end, like, chandeliers everywhere.
29:01Like, everything was marble.
29:02It was very echoey, like.
29:03That's why we didn't really like it, because it just, like, made her feel like she was
29:07going to hold in her tics.
29:08So then we looked at this other place.
29:10What?
29:11It was really beautiful.
29:12It was, like, on this, like, compound.
29:13Yeah.
29:14But we just don't know if it's going to be within our price range.
29:16Okay.
29:17And then we have a cheaper option.
29:18Yeah.
29:19My parents' backyard.
29:20Oh.
29:21They brought that up.
29:22Okay.
29:23Have you thought about any around here?
29:26I haven't looked at any around here.
29:29Well, maybe you can check out some places around here on your way back.
29:32See if there's some you can look at.
29:34Yeah.
29:35That'd be awesome.
29:36Colin has a lot of older persons in his family.
29:38Like, his granddad, his grandma, a lot of them take a lot of medication, too.
29:41So he would probably get more family members to come to his wedding if it's closer.
29:46Ride the horse.
29:48Colin wants a horse.
29:50Yeah, I do want a horse.
29:51And I want an alpaca.
29:52Think about it.
29:53Just think about it.
29:54Okay.
29:55Instead of having a getaway car, that's our getaway car.
29:56The horse.
29:57We get on the horse and we ride it.
29:58I thought she didn't like horses, though.
29:59I don't.
30:00Put the horse in front of a carriage.
30:01And get in the carriage.
30:02Well, then you're not on the horse.
30:03You're not on the horse, though.
30:04How are you going to get on a horse in a tux?
30:07You're going to rip your pants.
30:08I'm not going to wear tight pants.
30:09I don't find a way to get on that.
30:11Oh, my God.
30:12Even if I rip my pants.
30:13This is not going to end, William.
30:14No, it's honestly not.
30:16And that's why I just let him run.
30:18Let him go.
30:19He used to have this stick horse that he would ride around the house, too.
30:23But only with his gun holster.
30:25That's it.
30:26Butt naked.
30:27I'd be butt naked.
30:28My horse head on a stick.
30:30Ride the horse.
30:31Every night?
30:32No, it was any time I had to take a shower.
30:34Right before the shower.
30:35Sounds a little OCD.
30:36I would just get, like, the zoomies or whatever.
30:38And I'd be like, oh, I'm so excited for my shower.
30:40Let me go ride my horse.
30:41Ride the horse.
30:42Well, you're never that excited anymore for a shower.
30:45So it's OK.
30:46I did a lot of things when I was three and four, too.
30:48So mom told me the other day that you weren't feeling well.
30:51Are you still feeling bad?
30:52You're bald.
30:53Yeah.
30:54That, too.
30:55Sorry.
30:56It's OK.
30:57It's OK.
30:58I have a really very, Marlene's a dirty, fat, filthy, horny whore.
31:02This specific tick is really uncomfortable for me because nobody wants to be called any
31:11of those things, especially Colin's mom.
31:15I'm just going to let that out now and say you have a very extensive tick.
31:20And I don't want you to be offended.
31:22That's OK.
31:24OK.
31:25I am not going to be offended.
31:26OK.
31:27I think in that moment she might have been embarrassed.
31:30Hmm.
31:31So I think she might have some inner feelings about her ticks and that she can't maybe express
31:37them fully in front of us yet.
31:39But for me, I've gotten to the point where her Tourette's is her Tourette's.
31:42I know where her heart is and I know how she truly feels about me.
31:46So I just want her to know that it's OK.
31:48It's been eating away at me.
31:50My mom's reaction was that she just didn't care.
31:53And she wouldn't be offended, which was really, really nice.
31:55I know, but I needed to hear it from her, not from you.
31:59I'll take a bow.
32:00Take a dick.
32:01Take a dick.
32:02Take a dick.
32:03I mean, there's so many things that go into a wedding.
32:08What is the number one thing for each of you?
32:12For me, it's budget.
32:14I want the wedding to be as colorful as possible.
32:17That's just everything I can hope.
32:18We're all going to be wearing pink.
32:20Please!
32:21Please!
32:22I tried to get Colin in a pink tux and he's like,
32:24I will not wear that.
32:25Don't blind me.
32:26I wear pink tux.
32:27I love pink.
32:28Yes!
32:29Can I wear shorts?
32:30No.
32:31Skinny jeans.
32:32Skinny jeans with holes.
32:33No, I'm not getting skinny jeans.
32:34All right.
32:35All right, well, I'm going to start cleaning up some of this stuff then.
32:37It gets me excited to know that his family is also excited.
32:42Now we're talking.
32:43Now we're talking wedding.
32:44We'll definitely find ways to get y'all involved.
32:47But I do think that we should check out a place on the way back to D.C. tomorrow, like a venue.
32:51I agree.
32:52I would like to have some involvement with Colin in the wedding.
32:56But it needs to be their day.
32:57It needs to be what they've planned, what they wanted.
32:59But I'd be more than happy to be a part of anything that they would like for me to have.
33:03Let me see what the heck's going on.
33:05Hey, Jalene.
33:06Can I talk to you real quick?
33:08Sure.
33:13I want to talk to my sister because, besides Vaylin, my sister really knows me the best.
33:17I have a lot of things on my mind right now with wedding planning, the job after military,
33:23and Alan's opinion that job stability is more important than happiness, which is just crazy to me.
33:31It's a lot.
33:32What's up?
33:35So, aside from the wedding, there's a lot of, like, big life decisions that I have coming up that I have to make.
33:51And I know that you are doing real estate.
33:53Yeah, yeah, yeah.
33:54I've always been super interested in real estate.
33:57So I wanted to ask you, how's it going?
34:00What's your thoughts about it?
34:01Yeah.
34:02I mean, for me, I have a full-time job and I do real estate part-time.
34:06What are you thinking?
34:07It would be a full-time gig.
34:09Okay.
34:10Why real estate?
34:11Because you could go months without having a paycheck.
34:15And that's definitely something that you have to not only financially prepare for, but mentally prepare for.
34:21Yeah.
34:22So.
34:23It is scary to think that I couldn't make a single paycheck for an entire year.
34:27So, yeah, there is a risk.
34:29But if this happens, I'm going to give real estate everything in my body for it to succeed.
34:34And I just, like, had a lot of outside noise and pressure.
34:38Who's causing the outside noise?
34:41That would be Alan, her father.
34:44Okay.
34:45I think that as long as it benefits you and Baylen, that's all that matters.
34:51Okay.
34:52Just shut out the noise.
34:54They're creating a life together.
34:57I think the outside noise can create a lot of distraction.
35:02It's not my parents.
35:04It's not her parents.
35:05It's their life.
35:07I appreciate that.
35:08Of course.
35:09I love that my family has my back and I know that I'm going to regret it if I don't even just try.
35:16Simply because it's something that I've been wanting to do for a very long time.
35:20And it's very, very important to have Baylen believe in me.
35:27For the longest time, it's been me and you.
35:34I won't try to stay right here.
35:39I know the look on your face.
35:42Don't back, don't back away.
35:45Cause I don't want to lose you now.
35:51This is Country Roads right here.
35:54So we're still waiting on the early budget proposal.
35:57And right now it's the one to beat.
35:59But today we are taking my mom's suggestion to look at a venue closer to Roanoke.
36:06And we found a beautiful location that would fit us in last minute for a tour right before we head home.
36:11I'm so excited.
36:14I just hope, I hope it's in our price range because.
36:17Oh my gosh.
36:18Look at this.
36:21Oh my gosh, look at this side.
36:26Oh my God, it's a barn.
36:30Oh my God, I don't think we need to look for anything else.
36:37This is crazy.
36:40Home suite.
36:41Let's get eloped today.
36:43I'm in a dress.
36:45I don't see a horse getting up here.
36:48That's all it does.
36:49What do you mean you don't see a horse?
36:50I don't see a horse getting up.
36:51I'm not taking a horse and carriage down that road.
36:55This is a private tour, right?
36:57Yeah.
36:58Yeah.
36:59Where are they at?
37:01Who is that?
37:03That's my mom and my sister.
37:04I asked them to join us.
37:07You didn't want to share any of that with me until they arrived?
37:11I really want my family to be involved in the wedding planning.
37:15Why couldn't you tell me they were coming?
37:17Because I wanted them to.
37:19Hi.
37:20Hi guys.
37:21So I invited my mom and my sister to look at this venue last minute.
37:26Because I don't know when they're going to be able to help us out in the future.
37:30Hey.
37:31Hey.
37:32I was wondering why we were waiting out here.
37:34Thanks for having us.
37:35Yeah.
37:36I don't understand why Colin couldn't just tell me that he invited his mom and his sister on this tour.
37:40Don't get me wrong.
37:41I love Colin's family.
37:43I just know that my mom has been dying to be a part of wedding planning.
37:48And the last person I want to hurt is my mom.
37:51I feel ambushed.
37:57Valeria!
37:58It's margarita time.
38:00I've never needed to drink more.
38:03So we went and saw a wedding venue that we decided last minute to see.
38:09And Khalid and Marlene surprised me there by coming.
38:12So your dad and I had like this little idea.
38:16The last little idea you had, we had therapy.
38:18Yeah, I think this one's better than therapy.
38:20Okay.
38:21Your mom and I want to have a big party.
38:23Like an engagement party?
38:24Absolutely.
38:25Do you think that your parents have some kind of ulterior motive behind it?
38:29My dad offered my parents' backyard as a wedding venue.
38:33Okay.
38:34Okay.
38:35It's just...
38:36You...
