00:00Hey everyone and welcome back to Real Talk Backstage, where we take you behind the scenes to meet your favorite stars.

00:08Today we're visiting Adam Daniel and Samantha Drews. Let's go take a look.

00:21Hey Real Short, this is Adam Daniel. I am currently on set.

00:25A quick little thing about my character in this one. He is not the CEO, but he's trying to be.

00:31And you know what that means. There's a lot of nefarious, sneaky, dastardly things he's going to try to do to get that.

00:39And I can't wait for you to see it. It's going to be so different, but it's super exciting.

00:44We have a phenomenal cast. Stay tuned. It's coming.

00:47All right Sam, so tell me, what was your approach to doing this one?

00:59I kind of had to think about my own personal life.

01:02I'm not hearing impaired, but I do have a disability.

01:06I have moments and times in my life where I can't talk, I become mute, and I do have to use sign language in those times.

01:12And so that's sort of how I ended up sort of relating to this character.

01:15So I'll think about what it's like when I do have those episodes when I mute, and then I just apply it that way.

01:20Being mute isn't something that I'm necessarily ashamed of.

01:23It's not something I talk about very often, but it is something that, you know,

01:27when I have the chance to be able to express that part of me, I get really excited about it.

01:33Because, you know, you can relate to the people who, you know, maybe are going through something similar to this.

01:38Awesome. Well, I'm so excited to see you punch down and slap a b*****.

01:48So right now, we're here with my buddy Thomas.

01:52Thomas.

01:54We have some celebrating to do for my wife, who I love.

02:02And I'm absolutely taking her to get some McDonald's later.

02:05Loves McDonald's.

02:07And then we're going to leave her there.

02:08All right, guys.

02:15So we are here at a top-secret location, and we're going to go hang out with the cast and try to not annoy the crew.

02:21Because that's something I always tend to do.

02:24Come on. Come inside.

02:25I think I'm on level two or three.

02:28I think it's three.

02:28Let's see.

02:29One, two, three, four.

02:30Yeah.

02:31So I'm in an office right now.

02:32Please do not sit on the handrail, because those big booty hoes, it's going to fall.

02:37And we don't want that drama to happen unless it's a real short.

02:41Okay, let's see.

02:42So as you can see, we have payroll, which is fun.

02:47We have a foundation, which you always need.

02:49We have the president's office.

02:50Someone in this show should be a CEO president vibe.

02:54Business service.

02:55Human resources.

02:57HR.

02:57Always need that when I'm around.

03:00And the boardroom.

03:02Okay.

03:02I have no idea what this place is, by the way.

03:04No idea.

03:05So let's try to figure it out.

03:10Okay.

03:11I'm going to grow.

03:12Yeah.

03:16Oh, look at this.

03:19It's called an actress.

03:24All right, Sam.

03:25So tell me, what is this scene looking like?

03:27What do you have to do right now?

03:28I'm in my era.

03:31I don't know.

03:31What is that?

03:32What do you call that?

03:32Like that.

03:33Yeah.

03:34Okay.

03:34Yeah.

03:35And so I basically just kind of stick it to my husband, who's been a real knucklehead the

03:40entire show.

03:41Oh, so it's like your revenge moment.

03:43Yeah.

03:44Oh, I can't wait to see it.

03:45Okay.

03:45Get out there, girl.

03:46Okay.

03:47They're about to roll.

03:48I gotta go.

03:54All right, guys.

03:55So we're on set right now.

03:56They're doing a little rehearsal.

03:57Things are about to heat up.

03:58I think they're rehearsing a big ol' punch or slap situation.

04:02And as you know, it can get a little crazy on set.

04:04So we'll see how it's going to go.

04:07I'm a little nervous.

04:08I'm excited for Sam.

04:10It's a revenge moment.

04:11So you just had a nice, juicy revenge moment.

04:22How did that feel for your character?

04:23Oh, fantastic.

04:24I love crying on camera.

04:26I feel like that's a very you thing.

04:28Like, you're really good at it.

04:29I always feel like I want to, like, vomit after the scene because my stomach starts hurting.

04:33Yes.

04:34But I had to do this, like, this, like, slap, which is so fun, because there's this emotional

04:38buildup where he's dogging on deaf people with me, which is just awful.

04:42And I just get so angry about it.

04:45And because when you do a slap on stage, you're like, and you step into it.

04:49But I wasn't allowed to do that because vertical format is, like, pea-sized.

04:53So, yeah, I had to, like, figure out how to do it without stepping forward.

04:56And that was fun.

04:57Felt good.

04:58Felt good.

04:59Okay.

04:59So, tell me.

05:00You just got exposed in that scene.

05:02Yeah.

05:03How does it feel?

05:04Hurts.

05:05Hurts a little bit.

05:06I got slapped twice.

05:08For all of you out there, just to know, like, this is not me.

05:13Okay?

05:14This is a character.

05:15But, no, I love it.

05:18And I want, like, the both of them.

05:19I want, like, the brother and sister just to, like, ugh, he's so mean.

05:23Get him down.

05:24And then just everyone, like, piles on.

05:26You guys, like, jump on.

05:28And then just, like, the comments just keep coming, like, ah, destroy that guy.

05:32So, just everyone gets the brother down.

05:35He deserved it.

05:36He really, really deserved it.

05:37So.

05:38So, wait.

05:38Tell me a little bit about your character.

05:40You are a bad guy in this one, right?

05:42He is definitely a bad guy.

05:44Yeah, he's not good.

05:45He's really nasty.

05:47But does he think so?

05:48Probably not.

05:49He's probably like, hey, I deserve this.

05:51He is bad.

05:52And he just treats everyone, like, dirt and garbage.

05:56And it's awful.

05:58But I love that I get to do it.

06:01Do you like playing the villain?

06:02No.

06:04Hates it.

06:04No.

06:05I want to be the hero.

06:06You want to be the hero.

06:07I want to be the hero.

06:08Yeah.

06:08I like being the hero.

06:09Well, you're the hero in my eyes as a villain.

06:11Aw, thank you.

06:12All right.

06:19So, we got a new guy in.

06:20I haven't met him yet, but he looks all bruised up.

06:22So, I feel like he's a villain, maybe.

06:24He's limping.

06:26Maybe he's going to get hit again.

06:27I don't know.

06:28What do you guys think?

06:28Who do you think his character is?

06:29I can't tell.

06:31I'm going to vote villain.

06:32I'm voting a villain.

06:33Hey there.

06:36So, it looks like you got in a bit of a tiff.

06:39God, yeah.

06:40I got beat up, man, by that guy in the red suit.

06:42Don't let him fool you.

06:43He's not a nice guy.

06:44Well, when you walked in, you were giving villain.

06:46Am I wrong?

06:47That's what I think.

06:47Yeah.

06:48I played a villain, actually, last time, but believe it or not, good guy.

06:52No way.

06:53Yeah.

06:54He's a good guy.

06:55What happened to the face?

06:56So, he beat you up?

06:57Got locked in a storage unit and just, they caught me slacking.

07:00Oh, my gosh.

07:01Now, he's the best of us, believe it or not.

07:03Reporting live from Real Short, we are on the set, and my character's name is Stacy.

07:12I love getting to play the villain.

07:15So, stay tuned.

07:17This will be coming out shortly, and we have an amazing cast, amazing crew.

07:23Everyone is so jazzed about this.

07:26It's a great thriller, juicy drama.

07:38How did you approach your role in this one?

07:41So, this one was actually kind of special.

07:45Samantha Drews, who plays my wife, my deaf wife, this gave me an incredible opportunity

07:52to bring out my sign language, and I haven't used that in a long, long time.

07:59So, I spent the last week just relearning everything, and I hear, I hear.

08:06He's got to go.

08:07The star's got to go.

08:08I hear my name, but thank you.

08:10Oh, my gosh.

08:11He knows sign language.

08:12That's so cool.

08:13Can you do a sign to the, to the camera?
