Deepika TC, captain of the Indian Women’s Blind Cricket Team, shares exclusively her journey overcoming societal prejudices about blind women in sports ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup starting 11th November 2025. From studying in a regular school to switching to a blind school where questions about her abilities surrounded her, Deepika reflects on the challenges she faced growing up in her village. Despite doubt and stigma, she completed her education with the help of a scribe and is now leading India with confidence and passion on the global cricket stage.
