2023ರ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಜೇಗೌಡ 248 ಮತಗಳಿಂದ ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದರು. ಮತ ಎಣಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲೋಪವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಮಂಜುನಾಥಗೌಡ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್‍ಗೆ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ನಂಜೇಗೌಡರ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಅಸಿಂಧುಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ ಮರುಎಣಿಕೆಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಇದನ್ನು ನಂಜೇಗೌಡ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದರು.ಶಾಸಕ, ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ನ ಕೆ.ವೈ.ನಂಜೇಗೌಡರ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಅಬಾಧಿತವೊ, ಸಮೀಪದ ಪ್ರತಿಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಯ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್‌. ಮಂಜುನಾಥಗೌಡರಿಗೆ ಅದೃಷ್ಟ ಒಲಿಯಲಿದೆಯೇ ಎಂಬ ಕುತೂಹಲ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿದೆ.
In the 2023 elections, Nanjegowda won by a margin of 248 votes. Claiming irregularities in the vote counting process, Manjunath Gowda filed a petition in the High Court. The High Court invalidated Nanjegowda’s election and ordered a recount. Nanjegowda challenged this decision in the Supreme Court
