00:00Today's decision is absolutely devastating.

00:03We're the ones with the life sentence, not him.

00:06Our family's lost a son, a brother, a mate,

00:09and now the man responsible has his sentence reduced

00:12after taking Jacob's life.

00:14There's no justice in that.

00:16Jacob trusted his supervisor, he was just 19,

00:19an apprentice, doing the right thing, and now he's gone.

00:22Nothing will ever make this right,

00:24but we hope Jacob's story reminds others

00:27that one careless decision on the road can destroy so many lives.

00:31To see the man who killed him have his sentence reduced

00:34is gut-wrenching.

00:35It's a slap in the face to every one of us.
