00:00I want to ask about the Supreme Court rejection, rejecting a bid to overturn the same-sex
00:05marriage ruling. Did they offer any comment with that?
00:12No, we actually didn't get any explanation for the court's decision, Matt. But this does signal
00:17that there's not an appetite among the Supreme Court to reconsider their 2015 landmark ruling
00:23that legalized same-sex marriage. And there had been speculation that they actually might be keen
00:28to after we saw that 2022 decision reversing Roe v. Wade. And this is a more conservative
00:33court, a conservative majority, actually. Three of the justices that were there in 2015 are no
00:39longer there. So some thought there could be an opening, but at the end of the day, they're not
00:43going to revisit it. And it means that the Kentucky County clerk at the center of this is still on the
00:48hook for $100,000 in damages to the same-sex couple that she denied a marriage license to three times.
