00:00:00There's a re-unit for a missing person.
00:00:21A white male, something or other, had long hair and a beard.
00:00:34He wasn't alone.
00:00:37License number seems so shh.
00:00:40Class D, David.
00:00:44Do you have an idea what was going on there?
00:00:48No, I just made you.
00:00:55735 John, any other yes?
00:00:571050 to channel 1 at 2308.
00:01:03Okay, he's got no record found on the face at negative,
00:01:07and I'm not getting any of the DM phone.
00:01:09No record found.
00:01:12On March 4th, 1996, a missing persons report was filed
00:01:16with the Jackson County Police Department by Miss Judy Dixon.
00:01:20Miss Dixon reported that her son, a Mr. Baron Dixon,
00:01:24had left a panic-stricken message on her answering machine,
00:01:27stating that Mr. Dixon would be leaving and never coming back.
00:01:31His vehicle and his belongings were found by the County Sheriff's Department.
00:01:35Mr. Dixon had arranged to meet with two friends at a designated campsite that the trio was familiar with.
00:01:50Mr. Dixon's vehicle was discovered about five miles south of that campsite.
00:01:55The two friends Mr. Dixon had arranged to meet were a Mr. Randy Kenneth Sloan and a Mr. Edward T. Tackett.
00:02:05So, right here is where it happened.
00:02:18We had the fire going here, and then it was that ridge right there,
00:02:22that this shape, or like a light bubble thing, floated right on down this way.
00:02:30It's crazy.
00:02:37Mr. Sloan and Mr. Tackett had admitted to using hallucinogenics on the night in question.
00:02:43It was the biggest spaceship I had ever seen.
00:02:49Mr. Sloan and Mr. Tackett had outstanding warrants for their arrest.
00:02:54I had an unpaid speeding ticket.
00:02:57And I just had some problems with neighbors about some noises coming from my garages, that's all.
00:03:08Mr. Sloan and Mr. Tackett were questioned and later booked into county jail for their outstanding warrants.
00:03:15Well, you know, it sounds insane.
00:03:18I'd call me insane, too, if I was me.
00:03:21But it was like a light or like a vessel, and it just floated real graceful, like, down there.
00:03:29No jerking at all.
00:03:30No, and it was no lights.
00:03:32And there weren't no lights.
00:03:35And, like, it was about this big.
00:03:41Investigating officers described the witnesses as excitable and incoherent.
00:03:46And when I put, it was about this big.
00:03:50When I put my hand up, it was about, yeah, that big.
00:03:54How, how close was it?
00:03:57If I'd have had a rock, I could have hit it.
00:04:00Yeah.
00:04:00And then it just, one second, it was gone.
00:04:07Mr. Dixon's vehicle was subsequently impounded,
00:04:10and his belongings were entrusted to his mother, Mrs. Judy Dixon.
00:04:15Barron is my only child.
00:04:17Barron was always fascinated with spaceships.
00:04:21He loves spaceships, ever since he was a little baby.
00:04:26I thought he'd be a football player when he grew up.
00:04:29But he never got interested in sports at all.
00:04:33His only interest was outer space things.
00:04:36I think about a year.
00:04:48I think he worked here for about a year.
00:04:50I don't know.
00:04:50I hated it.
00:04:52I hated that guy.
00:04:53Yeah, we all hated him.
00:04:54I hated that guy.
00:04:55All he did was talk about fucking aliens at the beginning.
00:04:58All he did was talk about spaceships.
00:04:59All the fucking time.
00:05:01All the time.
00:05:01We got a little sick of hearing.
00:05:02Remember that one thing we used to say?
00:05:04Yeah, he used to say that he used to go,
00:05:05spaceships are going to take me away.
00:05:08You know, I'm fucking crying.
00:05:09Oh, man.
00:05:10He was crazy.
00:05:10He was crazy.
00:05:11I hated him too.
00:05:13Oh, yeah.
00:05:14God, he was an idiot.
00:05:15He just didn't fit in.
00:05:19His only friends were Ed and Randy,
00:05:23and I don't think they were a very good influence on him.
00:05:28Did you take hallucinogenics on the night that Barron disappeared?
00:05:32I took four hits of acid.
00:05:37Well, I had 12 originally.
00:05:39But I took one of Ed's, so maybe I had five hits.
00:05:44And I had some of Barron's too.
00:05:46So that was probably...
00:05:48So Ed probably had seven or eight.
00:05:50I tried to keep Barron away from him.
00:05:56We were pretty fucked up because we took all of Barron's acid when he didn't show up.
00:06:04Yeah, we'd been waiting around the fire pit for him.
00:06:08He didn't show up.
00:06:09No, but he had called me at 5 p.m., and he had told me that that was the night.
00:06:17He knew they were coming.
00:06:19Yeah, he knew it because he'd been talking about aliens all his life.
00:06:23He said they were coming.
00:06:24But he never said that they were coming that night, and he was serious.
00:06:29He never said that before.
00:06:33In all the 20 years I knew him, he never had any false alarms or anything.
00:06:38No, that was the night.
00:06:40He knew it.
00:06:44The two witnesses claim that while on their hallucinogenic experience,
00:06:49they did not see a space ship.
00:06:52But what they did see, and I quote, is a space traveling vessel.
00:06:56What?
00:06:59Do you, the police feel that because you took hallucinogens,
00:07:04that maybe you hallucinated the spacecraft, that you didn't see a spacecraft.
00:07:09I might have, I might have been fucked up, but I know when I see a spaceship.
00:07:13I told them it wasn't a space ship, it was a space vessel.
00:07:18I suspected that they were trying to get Barron to do something with drugs the same as they were.
00:07:32See, what I was saying before was about how the scope you can shoot for a mile away,
00:07:39but with this, when you're shooting them close, like this we are,
00:07:42you shoot underneath the scope with the...
00:07:46That's a good setup.
00:07:48But if he was a mile away, I'd just look in the scope,
00:07:51and then I could hit him.
00:07:53Well, okay, I'm going to shoot the dog in the face.
00:07:59Make that a hundred, Dalmatians.
00:08:02When you're shooting at him, you should shoot for him like it's real,
00:08:09like you should shoot him in the heart, or in the face, or in the belly, or in the groin.
00:08:18You could shoot him in the neck.
00:08:21Neck shot's pretty good, yeah.
00:08:23A neck shot will always take him out.
00:08:24So I'm going to probably shoot this one in the neck.
00:08:30Or I'll try to pop one of his eyes off.
00:08:38There goes that pile of cow shit.
00:08:44I'm going to shoot them dolls that are fucking.
00:08:54Ever since he was little, he was fascinated by spaceships,
00:09:22and he talked about aliens.
00:09:23And spaceships.
00:09:25Only he called them skyboats.
00:09:28Skyboats?
00:09:29Yes, skyboats.
00:09:32And there were sky mommies and sky daddies.
00:09:37We've got a home movie of him running around,
00:09:40holding a football over his head,
00:09:42and saying, skyboat, skyboat, skyboat.
00:09:53Dashboardå¾…Å¥.
00:09:57On the way to the front of the room,
00:09:59he ignor stating, skyboat, skyboat, skyboat, skyboat.
00:10:03She could have a massive í•´ on the beach Those things are going to be as big as many of them.
00:10:05And of course I could have seen her hope,
00:10:06she could have seen her on the beach,
00:10:07andestones for an island.
00:10:09But when she was with us and by the mãlder,
00:10:11her sister her blizzard is worse.
00:10:13And now they could have very good,
00:10:14she could have been from the brricane,
00:10:15Samoa see them in the looks.
00:10:17ich湯
00:10:18But Jess and her plan.
00:10:19So, tell me how you knew Judy and Barron.
00:10:31Oh, I lived next door to Judy and Barron, let's see, till Barron was 12 or 13, make
00:10:37it about 20 years.
00:10:39Did he talk to you about aliens much, or sports craft?
00:10:44That's all he ever talked about, over and over again, over again.
00:10:49It was just too much.
00:10:51So, do you believe he was taken away by aliens, or...?
00:10:56Yeah, I would say he was.
00:10:59He had just started school, maybe the first grade, when he told me that people from another
00:11:06planet were going to come and take him to another planet.
00:11:11I told him they weren't going to do that.
00:11:14But he said, oh yes they are.
00:11:16He was determined on it ever since then.
00:11:20You couldn't tell him any different.
00:11:22Hello, my name is Ruth Seiferlein, and I was Barron's third grade teacher.
00:11:29Barron was a very memorable child, to say the least.
00:11:33He was very creative.
00:11:35Always making things, or wanting to make things, or building, or painting, or anything like that.
00:11:41He loved model airplanes, and he was very active.
00:11:47He did talk about aliens and spaceships quite a bit.
00:11:50This is some of the artwork Barron did as a boy.
00:11:54His teachers gave him busy work, so that to keep his mind occupied, he was just too much for a lot of his teachers.
00:12:05Oh yes, he also had a habit of keeping his hands in the front of his pants.
00:12:27Like, down his pants. A lot.
00:12:30I'd pull him aside and I'd say, Barron, you've got to keep your hands out of your pants.
00:12:35Well, he'd take them out and he would never give me any trouble.
00:12:39But two minutes later, he'd have his hands right back down his pants.
00:12:43I couldn't get him to stop.
00:12:45And it was just one more thing, you know, for the kids to pick on him for.
00:12:49He didn't finish high school.
00:12:56The kids were picking on him too much, and he got tired of it.
00:13:01Barron wet his pants a couple of times during class, and that was hard for the kids to accept.
00:13:06It seemed to compound his problems a lot.
00:13:10One time in high school, Barron read a paper about how he wished that aliens would come from right in the middle of class
00:13:17so he wouldn't have to go to school or work or do anything he didn't want to do.
00:13:23But, uh, the teachers thought he was just nuts.
00:13:29I'm Dr. Matthews.
00:13:30At one time, I was a psychiatrist for the Jackson County Public School System.
00:13:35Barron Dixon was referred to me by Mrs. Bailey, an English teacher at the time.
00:13:42Barron had written a paper in which he wished that aliens would come and remove him from the classroom
00:13:49so that he could prove to his peers that the stories he had told them in the past were true.
00:13:55I began meeting with Barron twice a week, and we talked a great deal about aliens and his wish to disappear.
00:14:07Barron had convinced himself that one day, a date he was not certain of,
00:14:14he would be picked up by a traveling spacecraft and taken to another planet.
00:14:19On this planet, he would be what he referred to as the captain of the workers,
00:14:26or the laborers of that planet.
00:14:29A rather common fantasy, actually.
00:14:33Did he ever talk to you about taking other people to another planet as well?
00:14:39I'm not at liberty to talk to you about anything that his mother did not already make public
00:14:45by publishing his now famous summer vacation report.
00:14:51The school psychiatrist told me that Barron needed a lot of attention.
00:14:57He didn't trust the real world because of all the lies his father had told him.
00:15:04His father was a traveling salesman.
00:15:08See, Barron had caught his father in a motel room with another woman.
00:15:14And it wasn't his mom.
00:15:16It wasn't his mom.
00:15:18And it was shortly after that, he went down to find out who his real parents were.
00:15:24So he went down to the adoption agency and tried to look up the records and everything.
00:15:31And they couldn't find any records on him.
00:15:34And according to their offices, Barron never ever even really existed.
00:15:40So no one knows where Barron came from?
00:15:44Nobody.
00:15:48It is true that Barron was adopted.
00:15:53And it's true that the agency didn't have any record of his existence.
00:15:58We tried to have a baby, but Barron's dad's sperm was crooked.
00:16:06Its tail was bent, and it would just swim in circles.
00:16:10It would never go to the egg.
00:16:14Well, he'd gone down to that motel because his dad was traveling, you know, sales.
00:16:33Barron didn't get to see his father very much.
00:16:36Well, and the thing was that his dad, it was a surprise visit.
00:16:40And his dad didn't know that he was coming down there.
00:16:43Barron had just gotten his driver's license,
00:16:47and he decided to drive up to the city to surprise his dad.
00:16:51And Barron just walks in the room, and there was his dad,
00:16:55and there was this naked woman bouncing around in the hotel bed.
00:16:58And it wasn't his mom.
00:17:00And it really wasn't his mom.
00:17:03He told Barron that the woman in the room had locked herself out of her room,
00:17:08and he was just letting her use his.
00:17:12All right, I got the sound rolling.
00:17:14You got it?
00:17:15You got everything else rolling?
00:17:16Start rolling?
00:17:17Yeah, you got to roll on this.
00:17:18Okay.
00:17:19You got to start with everybody.
00:17:20Okay, good.
00:17:21I'm out six then, right?
00:17:34Yeah.
00:17:35Okay.
00:17:36Found the place, yeah?
00:17:37Yeah, we found it.
00:17:38I'm Ryan Flackard.
00:17:39How are you doing?
00:17:40I'm the production manager.
00:17:41This is Susie Fox.
00:17:42Hi, nice to meet you.
00:17:43She's the production assistant.
00:17:44Ryan Ferguson on sound.
00:17:47He's our sound man.
00:17:48Behind the camera is Jeff Cochran.
00:17:49Hey.
00:17:50How are you doing?
00:17:51Good to meet you.
00:17:52Here, let me get this water off.
00:17:53Okay.
00:17:54I'm just hosing the dog down.
00:17:55Oh, that's good.
00:17:56Nobody want to shut the water off?
00:17:58You found the place, huh?
00:18:05We found it, and it's nice to meet you.
00:18:08Very nice to meet you.
00:18:09Well, where do you want to do this?
00:18:11You can do it inside, out here, probably inside.
00:18:15How about in the kitchen?
00:18:16Keep it cool.
00:18:17Yeah.
00:18:17Okay.
00:18:18Come on in.
00:18:19Come on in.
00:18:20All right, you kids behave.
00:18:23Dad's getting an interview today.
00:18:25Go ahead and tell me your name.
00:18:32Yeah, my name is Daniel Edgar Dixon, but nobody calls me that.
00:18:37They call me Muff.
00:18:38Muff.
00:18:39Muff?
00:18:40Yeah.
00:18:41Muff.
00:18:42M-U-F-F.
00:18:43I'm Barron's dad.
00:18:45Barron was very upset when he found out that his father had been unfaithful to me.
00:18:51He had very little to do with his father after that.
00:18:55Well, I'm sure you've been told about Barron's imagination.
00:18:59Boy gets a thought in his mind, there's no changing it.
00:19:02Hi, Joe.
00:19:03I was up in Kingman, Arizona in a hotel room on a road trip.
00:19:08Barron surprised me one day by knocking on the door.
00:19:12I let him in, and just as he came in, a lady come walking out of the shower.
00:19:18He said, she lived a couple of rooms down and the shower wasn't working, so me being a nice guy, I said, come on and take a shower here.
00:19:27Well, Barron took one look at her and one look at me, and I don't know what he was thinking.
00:19:34Barron couldn't believe his father lied to him like that.
00:19:41And he asked me, what else has his father been lying to him about?
00:19:47Yeah, I remember I used to tell Barron stories about how Japanese cars are made, what the moon is made of,
00:19:54and who lives on a big house on the hill, and that boy was never short of questions.
00:20:01He wanted to know about everything and everybody.
00:20:06He was a smart kid.
00:20:08I never had to explain things to him more than once, and many things he seemed to already know.
00:20:14Yeah, I loved Barron a lot. He was my boy. Yeah, we did quite a bit together.
00:20:22I wish we could have done more, but I think he was a mama's boy.
00:20:33He was a big fucking liar.
00:20:35He was always making shit up.
00:20:36Always lying.
00:20:37Always getting shit out of his ass.
00:20:39Fuck, it didn't even matter. He brought in these paintings.
00:20:42I remember that time he had the paintings, he told me,
00:20:44I want those paintings, they all because he said,
00:20:46I'm going to quit.
00:20:48He goes, I'm going to come into work, I'm going to quit.
00:20:50What he's trying to say is barricade.
00:20:53He's going to quit and paint these paintings of spaceships
00:20:57because he has this art dealer gallery guy
00:20:59that's going to sell these paintings of spaceships
00:21:01of these fucking pictures that he did.
00:21:03And they were fucking stupid.
00:21:05He got me a fucking retard.
00:21:06Retard did him.
00:21:07Hello, I'm Richard Stoneman.
00:21:09I'm Barron Dixon's art dealer.
00:21:11Barron came into my gallery in 1992.
00:21:17He had six paintings.
00:21:20They were very simple, very childlike paintings of spaceships.
00:21:25They were done in very bright colors, very playful.
00:21:28These three are on loan from clients.
00:21:31As you can see, they're very fun, playful paintings.
00:21:36Childlike, very childlike.
00:21:38One might even say disturbingly childlike.
00:21:42Partiairable, ALEX sting 후 and Amar badge.
00:21:48acles and Leg
00:21:51remember the product would have to here.
00:21:52Can you just jump over?
00:21:53It's difficult to see them.
00:21:54Algunin can already do a bunch of employment.
00:21:55But a lot of furniture would have to do a couple.
00:21:56They need to take a minimum.
00:21:57fijIn powers on the photographic lights.
00:21:58Hi, I'm Erastasinevi. This is my home. As you see, I'm a collector of modern art.
00:22:22This piece is TIA, that's Trans Interdimensional Airwaves Service. They started out as Trans
00:22:31International Airlines, but through the technology managed to come out with this wonderful spaceship
00:22:38type lamp. It actually goes, it's interdimensional, it travels. You see, you charge it up like
00:22:45that, and when you get enough of a charge, it takes off.
00:22:50This is my spaceship to honor that piece. It's called We Come in Peace, and of course
00:22:56when the aliens do come, you just know they're not going to come in peace. They're going to
00:23:00come loaded with guns and weapons, and they're going to annihilate us all. But such is life.
00:23:06I liked the paintings, and I felt good about them. I told him I would show his paintings
00:23:13in my gallery.
00:23:19The gallery, Richard Stoneman, of the Richard Stoneman Gallery, he was selling me a line
00:23:25of crap when he sold me the piece. I saw it, I fell in love with it. It's so modern, it's
00:23:33like a throwback to the modern art of the 60s, when all its super serious hoity-toity-ness,
00:23:40you know. I had to have it. It was hilarious. My friends all love it. You know, I have parties,
00:23:48and people come, and they gather around the painting, and they ignore me. They ignored
00:23:53everything else in the room, and believe me, I have some lovely things here. People are
00:23:57just drawn to this painting. It's magical. I feel blessed to have had the wisdom to acquire
00:24:04it. That's what primarily it does for me. It moves me. It makes me giggle. I sit. I admire
00:24:10it. The little puppy flying up to his mommy, or daddy, or whatever the creature is up there.
00:24:16It's hard to tell. I guess it's a sexless being.
00:24:26I did not see Baron for about a year after he brought in the spaceship paintings. When he
00:24:34did come back, he brought in these rather large paintings that were so disturbing and violent
00:24:43that I was tempted to call the police. They were the most gruesome paintings I had ever
00:24:50seen. This is my bedroom. This is where I live.
00:25:13Baron gave me this painting because a lot of them he couldn't sell, but I like this one
00:25:31the best because, I don't know, I just like to look at it and think about where I am in
00:25:38life and how big the world is and how big the galaxy is and how there are so many different
00:25:46kinds of people and different kinds of plants. I like to think what people on other planets
00:25:53might be like because, see, we only know a little bit about the planets that surround us, but
00:26:00there's millions of planets and there's millions of stars. And I just like to look at it and
00:26:13think about what people on other planets might be like.
00:26:18I like things because they speak to me. They tug on my heart or something, and I just have
00:26:29to have them. That's how I acquired that lovely painting over there. I just had to have it.
00:26:34It was hilarious. This little fella in a bubble and his dog flying up to him. I mean, that's
00:26:41great. You would expect a dog to have a bubble on his head and he's not, and that means he's
00:26:45truly an alien dog. I kind of have an alien dog myself, so I know about that.
00:26:53Baron requires a great deal of attention. And one way people get attention is by running away
00:26:58or staging their disappearance. Baron was able to disappear and validate his entire life and get
00:27:08the attention that he needs. He got his name in the paper, his picture in the news, a documentary.
00:27:16This is the journey. This one over here is the adventure. And this last one is the day the aliens came
00:27:26and took me to another planet.
00:27:48Baron was pretty upset when he couldn't make a living as an artist.
00:27:52He didn't like work. It was too much like school. People kept picking on him.
00:28:03He couldn't do a fucking thing around here. He used to call him E.T.
00:28:11He used to call him E.T., remember?
00:28:12Yeah.
00:28:13Hey, E.T.
00:28:14E.T. phone home, motherfucker.
00:28:15I go, where's your fucking spaceship?
00:28:17Hey, bitch, boy, where's your spaceship?
00:28:20This is Baron's dog. Her name is Bobo. Baron got her when he was, oh, 28, 29, maybe 30.
00:28:32She was a little tiny thing, no bigger than a shoe.
00:28:37He was a fucking dink.
00:28:41He was the king of the homeless, red-faced, big-throwed, stinky fish-looking space.
00:28:46She had to work with him all the time.
00:28:48She had to work with him all the time.
00:28:50Baron used to get down and hug her.
00:28:52And he'd say, you're the only friend I've got, aren't you, Bobo?
00:28:56And she'd lick his face.
00:29:03Remember that fish that we rocked?
00:29:04That big fish was this big.
00:29:06It was a big-ass, about a sea bass, a big sea bass.
00:29:09It was pretty big.
00:29:10Well, it was like that, but, you know.
00:29:12I used to take that fish and I'd just take that fish and slap him right in the top of the head, man.
00:29:16He didn't care. He didn't care.
00:29:18He had juices in his hair and everything. He didn't care.
00:29:20Bobo gets up with me in the morning and then I give her breakfast and then let her out.
00:29:29And she goes out to the end of the driveway and lays there all day looking up at the sky.
00:29:36It's as though she's waiting for Baron to come back home.
00:29:41And she goes out.
00:29:42She goes out.
00:29:43And she goes out.
00:29:44And she lives.
00:29:45She goes out.
00:29:46And she goes in there.
00:29:49It's actual, you know?
00:29:51And she dances with Wasser.
00:29:53And she goes out.
00:29:54So she's waiting for her.
00:29:55Oh my?
00:29:57She's telling you I love her.
00:29:57Opening dance.
00:29:59Like it's going back.
00:30:00So my friend is wrong.
00:30:02And she gets down.
00:30:03And she's watching the movie.
00:30:04She seems good and beautiful.
00:30:05And there really is gonna be your Diesele
00:30:06in fire.
00:30:08And very Link is her.
00:30:09She's coming over.
00:30:10What I don't get is that doggy is, every day it sits at the end of the driveway, stares
00:30:22up at the sky, all day long, every day, and it does it every day, weird, that is creepy.
00:30:40Tell me your name and your relationship to Barron.
00:30:52My name is Kathy Bell.
00:30:53You know, people tease me a lot about my name.
00:30:57Oh, okay.
00:30:58What relationship?
00:31:00Oh, yeah.
00:31:01My name is Kathy Bell, and I'm Barron Dixon's ex-girlfriend.
00:31:04Oh, okay.
00:31:05How did the two of you meet?
00:31:07We met at a Dead show when I was 21, or no, I was 22, at a Grateful Dead concert we met
00:31:13when I was 22.
00:31:14And how old was Barron?
00:31:15He was 38.
00:31:16Oh, wow.
00:31:17Yeah.
00:31:18Well, my parents don't like that a lot either, but, you know, he was a lot of fun, and he'd
00:31:23tell me these weird stories, but it was a blast.
00:31:26He'd tell me stories about other planets and people on the other planets, and I don't know,
00:31:33I would just totally get sucked up into his stories about secret societies and how there
00:31:39is a secret society that's going to be shipping people from this planet to another planet,
00:31:45a new planet that they have.
00:31:46And it's a better planet.
00:31:47It's cleaner.
00:31:48There's no pollution.
00:31:50And it's a better planet.
00:31:53And Barron said that he was going to be in charge of a group of workers at the new planet,
00:31:59and that they were going to be building this thing that's going to be connected to the Washington
00:32:03Monument and some church in Rome or something.
00:32:06I don't know.
00:32:07I mean, I would believe it, but I don't know if I really believed it or if it was just fun
00:32:12believing it, but it was, I don't know, he was a blast.
00:32:16It was like a game.
00:32:18It was fun.
00:32:19Oh, and then we had this great spaceship that he made in his backyard, and he made it out
00:32:24of cardboard and one-by-twos, and we'd mess around in that all night long and camp, look
00:32:31at the stars, and it was just like a clubhouse, and we'd sit around eating Twinkies and drinking
00:32:37wine coolers all night.
00:32:38It was great.
00:32:39It was just like a clubhouse.
00:32:40This is the spaceship Kathy in Barron built.
00:32:52He used to do a lot of them as a kid, out of refrigerator boxes.
00:32:58I'll open that for you.
00:33:06You can feel free to look inside.
00:33:08Let me get the lights.
00:33:20Hey.
00:33:26Hey.
00:33:34Yeah.
00:33:35Yeah.
00:33:35Yeah.
00:33:37was it was peaceful and it was like I could see through it it was a light I
00:33:56don't think I could it's like a light in it or around it was like a beautiful
00:34:01angel is heavenly and you know I was like whoa we were freaking out for like two hours I mean a
00:34:12fucking spaceship yeah where's Barron we kept yelling where's Barron it was his own like two
00:34:18hours we were should have been Barron's day he'd been talking about it forever and it was
00:34:23Barron's late for his own abduction it was kind of we didn't know you know what he didn't know
00:34:30where he was or anything you know we're just so freaked out then we found out and we never got
00:34:38to say goodbye we found out he's gone and he never even got to say goodbye to us or no one did his mom
00:34:46Kathy he told Kathy a bunch of stuff he never said goodbye to his mom just a message on his mom's

00:44:18I know he really liked my sister. I mean, you could tell he was totally in love with her, but I don't know. He was just weird.
00:44:26Well, none of my friends liked him, so it was mostly just Barron and I. But sometimes we'd hang out with Randy.
00:44:36We won't use everything. We'll just spill some of the stuff. We just keep it running.
00:44:43Yeah, but it's illegal. It's a smoke. Whoa!
00:44:49It's a smoke.
00:44:49There we are.
00:44:59All right, where are we going, guys?

00:46:12Hey there, boy
00:46:14Hey there, boy
00:46:15Well, the night that he disappeared
00:46:24He called me
00:46:24He did call me
00:46:27He told me that he was going to go to the new planet that he was talking about
00:46:33And
00:46:33He said that he wasn't coming back
00:46:39I could hear that he was scared
00:46:47He was really scared
00:46:48I'm afraid that he's in hiding somewhere
00:46:51Stalking my sister
00:46:53And one night he's going to come out of hiding and do something awful to her
00:46:57I mean, he used to call me all the time
00:47:01He doesn't call me anymore at all
00:47:03Not even, I don't know, where is he?
00:47:07I mean, I'm not saying he used to stalk me or anything
00:47:09But
00:47:10I would see him everywhere I went
00:47:13Every single day
00:47:15I talked to him on the phone every day
00:47:18And now he's nowhere
00:47:20I was right here
00:47:22I came out
00:47:23Saw a baron across the street
00:47:25Donut shop with a bag of donuts in his hand
00:47:28And I yelled out
00:47:29Hey, baron
00:47:30How about you as an outer space, you old son of a bitch?
00:47:33You can't be in outer space
00:47:39And be over there eating donuts at the same time
00:47:42I don't care who you are
00:47:45Emmett James
00:47:48He wouldn't know his head from a hole in the ground
00:47:52My name is Emmett James
00:47:55I know baron ever since he was a little grasshopper
00:47:59I knew baron when he was wearing diapers
00:48:03Like a little baby
00:48:05Ah, baron had a hard time making friends
00:48:09I think the only friend he ever had was
00:48:13What he had into the imagination
00:48:15Well, baron was a troublemaker
00:48:20Ever since he was little
00:48:22Young whippersnapper, his mind was gone
00:48:26You know, all the people that knew baron
00:48:29They thought he was crazy
00:48:31They just didn't know
00:48:33My name is Dean McDermott
00:48:43I'm the president and chairperson of the IRO
00:48:48That's the UFO Information Retrieval Organization
00:48:52The IRO is a non-profit organization
00:48:55That is involved in fundraising
00:48:58As well as lobbying
00:49:00In order to try and establish a place
00:49:02Where alien forces can land their spacecrafts
00:49:07Without any fear of danger
00:49:09What we have here
00:49:12What we have here is the plan that I've come up with
00:49:18To establish a space landing area in Scottsdale, Arizona
00:49:23This is actually like a large parking lot
00:49:27But it has lights for landing at night
00:49:31It also will have some bleachers
00:49:34And a modest dwelling
00:49:36Wherein we will have restrooms, telephones
00:49:40And of course, snack machines
00:49:42Sort of like a highway rest area
00:49:46Let me turn this on and give you the effect
00:49:50Hold on just once a second
00:49:59Is it on yet?
00:50:06Uh, no
00:50:07Okay, hold on just one more second
00:50:12Try this over here
00:50:15Is it on yet?
00:50:17Uh, no
00:50:18How about now?
00:50:19No
00:50:20No
00:50:21Not yet?
00:50:22Uh, no
00:50:23Hmm
00:50:24Oh, oh yeah
00:50:25Yeah, that's on
00:50:26Almost
00:50:27Good
00:50:28Ah, there
00:50:29As you can see the lights
00:50:32Okay
00:50:33Um
00:50:34Anyway, this area is set up also
00:50:39As you can see with a large antenna
00:50:42And this can send out a radio signal
00:50:45Both in Morse code
00:50:46And in English
00:50:47And in English which says
00:50:48Welcome to our planet
00:50:50Please stop and introduce yourself
00:50:53My name is Dean McDermott
00:50:55This place is safe for landing
00:50:58And this message, of course, repeats endlessly
00:51:06Uh, do you feel that, uh, Baron was taken away by aliens?
00:51:10No, I do not
00:51:11Uh, why don't you believe that?
00:51:14Because they
00:51:15Because they, they being any aliens, like to work with humans who are cooperative and peaceful
00:51:21And, uh, Baron, Baron was just stubborn and rude
00:51:26Tell us your name and what a day did you do?
00:51:27My name is Nate Lund, I maintain a few websites, NateLund.com is a site for my own
00:51:43artwork, uh, RagnarokStudio.com, uh, RagnarokStudio.com is, uh, public 3D artwork, tutorials, etc.
00:52:00And then, BaronDixon.com
00:52:01Uh, tell us about the BaronDixon website
00:52:02Um, it's a site all about my cousin, Baron, who disappeared somewhere
00:52:16Do you think he was taken to another planet?
00:52:19No?
00:52:20No?
00:52:21No?
00:52:22I know you're gonna ask that, but no
00:52:23There's about 20 people or so that check into the message boards pretty much every day
00:52:28If not twice a day
00:52:29Uh, they post messages about where they think he might be, they talk about him
00:52:33Take it way too seriously
00:52:40So, do you believe in aliens?
00:52:43I know there's aliens, they took Baron
00:52:46Another thing I do with the website is, well, people can report sightings of Baron, and, uh,
00:52:55Uh, most of the sightings are along Interstate 25 and 40, and then
00:53:00There's a few in Winnom, Minnesota and Fort Wayne, Indiana
00:53:05Uh, we got relatives in both places
00:53:08Uh, most of the people I come in contact with think he was abducted
00:53:14And they're all a little bit like him
00:53:17Uh, so you believe that you're going to go to the new planet?
00:53:23Why else would I be doing all this?
00:53:26What else do you do with the website?
00:53:29Um, it's the only one I make money with
00:53:32Because I, I sell t-shirts to help keep it going
00:53:35It's this one here
00:53:37It says, where in the galaxy is Baron Dixon?
00:53:40Even though I don't believe he's out there
00:53:42Everybody else does, and this is what sells, so
00:53:45It keeps people coming
00:53:47The photo I got is from a birthday party for my brother
00:53:50I also sell individual photos
00:53:54Uh, now here's one guy, uh, claiming that he knows Baron Dixon's on the, uh, the third moon of Pluton
00:54:07Uh, right
00:54:10Did you enjoy being around Baron?
00:54:21No, no
00:54:23Why not?
00:54:24He was creepy, actually
00:54:26What, what was creepy about him?
00:54:29Well, he always had this thing where he'd want me to give him a piggyback ride
00:54:32It was like a big hello
00:54:34I don't know, I, I don't like that
00:54:37How did I meet Baron?
00:54:40Um, well, when I joined the engineering faculty here
00:54:44And, uh, that's a while ago now
00:54:47Uh, I was a model rocket, uh, fanatic
00:54:50Uh, I love the, the whole process of, uh, designing rockets
00:54:54Uh, gluing them together, uh, late at night
00:54:57And, uh, then the, uh, next morning going out on the range
00:55:00Uh, slamming home a big engine
00:55:03And, whoosh, bang!
00:55:06I love that
00:55:07So, I wanted to turn over people on to it
00:55:10Uh, and I volunteered to teach a class at the, uh, Y
00:55:14And, uh, that's where I met, uh, a young, uh, young Baron
00:55:17Uh, he, uh, he impressed me, uh, from the start
00:55:20Uh, his, uh, smart kid, curious kid
00:55:23Uh, we learned, uh, a lot, uh, together
00:55:25Uh, uh, we designed, uh, some, uh, big rockets
00:55:29And, uh, we shot him off of great fun
00:55:32Do you believe that, uh, aliens may have taken him to another planet then, or?
00:55:39Well, aliens, I mean, to, to believe that, you gotta believe in, in aliens
00:55:43And, I'm a scientist, uh, I don't believe in aliens
00:55:46Uh, uh, I don't believe that, uh, there are, uh, uh, you know
00:55:50Little green or gray or purple fellows, uh, uh, uh, swooping around
00:55:55And, uh, spacecraft, uh, grabbing people, uh, taking them up for medical experiments
00:56:01Or, for travel to other planets, or, uh, whatever
00:56:04I, you know, what hard evidence is very bad
00:56:07No, I, I don't, I don't believe that
00:56:09Then, uh, do you believe that he may have staged his disappearance then?
00:56:14Well, like I said, I don't believe in aliens
00:56:18But, there are facts, a couple of facts about his disappearance
00:56:23That, uh, I've thought a lot about
00:56:26And, but, uh, that troubled me
00:56:28Uh, first, his dog
00:56:30Uh, he loved his dog
00:56:32And, he, he loved his dog
00:56:34I mean, he really loved his dog
00:56:36Uh, it just didn't seem to me to be like him
00:56:40Just to abandon his dog
00:56:42I mean, if he'd wanted to stage his disappearance
00:56:44And then to start a, a new life
00:56:46Uh, uh, why didn't he just stage the abduction of his dog
00:56:49I mean, aliens are, uh, uh, supposed to, uh, uh, swoop down and, uh, abduct cattle, right?
00:56:56Uh, uh, so why not, uh, why not a dog?
00:56:59I mean, it would have seemed credible
00:57:01Uh, the second thing is his car
00:57:03Uh, his car was found, uh, in, you know, in the middle of nowhere
00:57:08Thirty miles from the nearest bus stop
00:57:11Uh, if he staged his abduction, he'd left himself an awful long walk
00:57:16Uh, you know, why wouldn't he have just, uh, uh, staged an abduction from a vacant lot
00:57:23Or from behind a restaurant, uh, uh, would have been far more convenient
00:57:28So, there are a couple facts that trouble me about, uh, his, uh, disappearance
00:57:34It seemed strange to me, but, you know, um, I'm not saying he was abducted by aliens
00:57:40It just bothered me
00:57:42Do you think that, uh, Randy and Ed may have had something to do with his disappearance?
00:57:47Or helped him with his disappearance?
00:57:49Randy and Ed
00:57:51Randy and Ed
00:57:52They're such burnouts
00:57:53I mean, I doubt that those guys could have concocted a story
00:57:57And a scheme that was coherent enough, uh, to fool the police
00:58:01And they would have broken down
00:58:03They would have gotten confused under interrogation
00:58:05I mean, both guys, I mean, between their interest in explosives and recreational chemicals
00:58:11I mean, they've burnt so many brain cells
00:58:14I doubt they could get it together to help out, uh, Barrett
00:58:18Well, we got it all set here now
00:58:21Is my fish burrito?
00:58:24No, actually, it's, uh
00:58:26Two bean burritos
00:58:27Two, two fish burritos
00:58:29And a pint of beans
00:58:32And a pint of beans
00:58:33And a pint of beans
00:58:34And a pint of beans
00:58:35That's all we need
00:58:36Two fish burritos instead of beans
00:58:37That's good
00:58:38Thank you, ma'am
00:58:39Excellent, amigo
00:58:40Amigo
00:58:53This is Baron's apartment
00:59:01My sister has several rentals in the area
00:59:03So she's letting me keep the apartment
00:59:05So that when he, if he comes back
00:59:10He'll have his own stuff
00:59:12And his own place
00:59:14I kept everything just the way it was
00:59:26Baron was a big fan of Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter
00:59:29He felt that they were about to announce alien contact
00:59:34But he kept records
00:59:38And Ronald Reagan made five separate speeches referring to aliens
00:59:44Jimmy Carter made three
00:59:46I think Baron felt that if they made reference to alien contact
00:59:55People would accept him more
00:59:58And maybe not be so mean to him
01:00:02Do you mind if we take a look around the place?
01:00:08Would that be alright?
01:00:09No, I don't mind, not at all
01:00:11Okay
01:00:12You go right ahead
01:00:14It makes me a little sad being in here
01:00:17If you don't mind, I'm going outside
01:00:20Just take your time
01:00:21Thank you
01:00:22Oh, thank you
01:00:52Thank you
01:00:53Thank you
01:00:54Thank you
01:00:55Thank you
01:00:56Thank you
01:01:22Thank you
01:01:52Thank you
01:02:22Thank you
01:02:52Thank you
01:02:54Thank you
01:02:58Thank you
01:02:59Hi
01:03:17Okay, good to see you
01:03:19Um
01:03:19Baron Dixon's apartment was searched
01:03:21smoking paraphernalia was found that was coated with a marijuana residue.
01:03:25A small amount of marijuana was also found.
01:03:29There is a concern. A great deal of information
01:03:33regarding serial killers was found in Baron's apartment.
01:03:37I'm afraid that he's going to kidnap my sister and kill her. He could do it.
01:03:41He's a psycho. We were also made aware
01:03:45that Mr. Dixon was making frequent contact with an ex-girlfriend.
01:03:49We were also told that he had said before his
01:03:53disappearance that he would be coming back to take his girlfriend with him.
01:03:57This department takes threats from ex-boyfriends very
01:04:01seriously, especially those that collect information
01:04:05on serial killers. Baron was not a violent
01:04:09person. I mean, I know all the police are freaked out
01:04:13because of all the serial killer books that he has, but he has all kinds
01:04:17of books. He has books on Buddhism and gardening and he has the Bible
01:04:21and he has medicinal herb books
01:04:23and he has books on fishing
01:04:25and healing. I mean, why didn't they call him a great fisherman
01:04:27or a healer or something?
01:04:29I remember one time
01:04:31when Baron beat up his dad
01:04:33and his dad had to go to the hospital
01:04:35because Baron
01:04:37broke both his dad's feet.
01:04:39Well, Randy claims that, uh,
01:04:43Baron broke both of your feet.
01:04:45Broke my feet?
01:04:47No.
01:04:49I tripped, twisting my ankle
01:04:51or something, tripping over a damn dog
01:04:53or a toy or something.
01:04:55My name is Cynthia Lynn Bell.
01:04:57My daughter dated Baron Dixon.
01:04:59I didn't like Baron from the first moment that I met him.
01:05:03And my distrust of him only served to fuel Kathy's interest.
01:05:09She dated him just to rebel against me.
01:05:13My mom hated Baron more than I did.
01:05:17I'm not saying something, because I really hated him.
01:05:19He went on and on about aliens and spaceships.
01:05:25He even went on to intimate to me
01:05:29that he had been chosen
01:05:31to help populate another world,
01:05:35to manage some workers or something.
01:05:38He was very scary. He frightened me.
01:05:41My mom used to ask me if Baron ever hit me.
01:05:45Baron would never hit me.
01:05:47He was always the hero.
01:05:49He was... would have protected me at all costs.
01:05:51He would have saved me no matter what.
01:05:55Or organized workers to move everybody to another planet.
01:06:01This is a grown man.
01:06:03And he's... and he's dating my daughter.
01:06:07Baron surprised me one day.
01:06:09He almost ran up to me.
01:06:13He was very excited that he wanted to show me something.
01:06:16So he took out his wallet and he flipped out a picture.
01:06:19And the picture was of a lovely,
01:06:21a really beautiful young woman.
01:06:23And he told me it was his girlfriend.
01:06:27And we talked a little bit.
01:06:29And he seemed, you know, very excited and very in love.
01:06:33And the whole incident kind of took me aback.
01:06:37Because I hadn't seen Baron with a girl really ever before.
01:06:41And I think this girl was perhaps his first love.
01:06:45Maybe he was in love for the first time in his life.
01:06:49And he said,
01:06:51And he said,
01:06:53And he said,
01:06:55And he said,
01:06:57And he said,
01:07:03And he said,
01:07:07He went over to me.
01:07:09And he said,
01:09:35Do you believe that she's with Baron and she's alive and well?
01:09:37Yes, I do.
01:09:39When interviewed, Kristen said that her sister seemed to be in very good spirits and that
01:09:45she spoke to her for several minutes.
01:09:48Katherine then told her sister she was going to another planet to live with her boyfriend,
01:09:54Mr. Baron Dixon.
01:09:57And Ms. Bell then got into her own vehicle by herself and drove away under her own free will.
01:10:12How do you account for Kristen's sudden change of mind and now believing that her sister is with Baron and that she's fine?
01:10:31She's a little kid. She'll believe anything.
01:10:35Mr. Sloan and Mr. Tackett were questioned that evening and later released.
01:10:41Uh, what happened to you guys once Kathy disappeared?
01:10:48Well, I'll give you three fucking guesses.
01:10:51Here come the cops.
01:10:53First thing they did is ride a star ass up.
01:10:55Crawling all over.
01:10:57As if we know what happened.
01:10:58We told them.
01:10:59Barron's in space.
01:11:01Hey, what do you want from us?
01:11:04So, what do you believe happened to your friend, Kathy Bell?
01:11:10Oh, Barron probably kidnapped her and God knows what he did with her after that.
01:11:16He's a disgusting pervert.
01:11:19Well, see the good thing is if they came back for Kathy, like Barron said, then they should be coming back for us.
01:11:32They just have to come back, I guess, get people one at a time.
01:11:39That's my figure.
01:11:41I can't wait.
01:11:42They can't get here soon enough.
01:11:43I'll leave all this shit behind.
01:11:45Worth it.
01:11:47Some sort of picnic.
01:11:49Aaron's involvement with Randy and Ed concerned me.
01:11:53He brought them over to the house a few times and I could see those boys were into the wrong kinds of things.
01:12:00As soon as they saw this lab equipment around here, well, our eyes lit up and they were asking me,
01:12:07well, how can we make this explosive or that explosive?
01:12:11And, you know, I was just saying, you know, no, no, we don't want to get into that.
01:12:16It doesn't look good for us.
01:12:21They're just going to believe what they want to believe and there's not much we can do.
01:12:25Probably try to pin it on us.
01:12:27Why not?
01:12:28Someone's got to take the fall.
01:12:31They seemed morbidly interested in that kind of thing.
01:12:34And then when I said, no, no, there would be no creation of explosives in my house,
01:12:40they wanted to cook up some drugs.
01:12:42And then that evening, too, they wanted to cook up some, you know, acid speed.
01:12:48And I just said, hey, no, don't talk about this.
01:12:52They'll be coming back for us.
01:12:54They can't get here soon enough for me.
01:12:57I'm right up to here with this bullshit.
01:12:59I'd leave all this behind in a second.
01:13:02Move on with my life.
01:13:07Every time they came over, they seemed excited.
01:13:10I mean, like children and wanted me to come out to their souped-up car
01:13:14and look in the trunk and they'd have more guns.
01:13:17And some types, I thought, were probably illegal in automatic weapons, ammunition, and so on.
01:13:23So I was concerned and uncomfortable about his association with these two.
01:13:28It just seemed like they were into bad stuff.
01:13:32Let's go.
01:13:33Let's go.
01:13:34Let's go.
01:13:35Let's go.
01:13:37Let's get them out and move around.
01:13:38Oh, wait.
01:13:40Oh, wait.
01:13:41Let's go.
01:13:42What?
01:13:43Awesome.
01:14:14Do you think you'll ever see Kathy again?
01:14:27No.
01:14:30No one listens to us. No one listens to me.
01:14:33Fuckers.
01:14:34I don't give a shit.
01:14:35I'd sooner take my chances with the aliens than I would.
01:14:37I hope the aliens come back before the cops come back, though.
01:14:39That's what I mean. I'd rather be with the fucking aliens.
01:14:42Life's been in the shit van for months now.
01:14:48And then they still come back at us.
01:14:51I'll tell you what, it don't look good for me and Randy here.
01:14:54This is probably the end for me and Ed.
01:14:57My sister came home and told me she was going away.
01:15:02That two people had come up to her in the parking lot and asked if she wanted to go to the new planet to live with Baron.
01:15:08And of course she said yes.
01:15:10She was incredibly happy.
01:15:11She came home, gave me a hug, gave me this letter, and then she drove off.
01:15:20I'll read the letter.
01:15:21Dear mom and sis,
01:15:26I don't know how to say this so that you'll believe me, so I'll just be blunt.
01:15:30I'm going to go to another planet to live with Baron.
01:15:33We're going to live in a community with other people from Earth.
01:15:36The new planet is very clean and is unexplored.
01:15:40There are no businesses and no government and no money.
01:15:43Everyone is working together to build big gardens with sculptures, murals, and paintings.
01:15:47I know it sounds crazy and I know it sounds impossible, but I want you to believe me.
01:15:53The new planet is beautiful.
01:15:55I love you guys.
01:15:57I'll miss you.
01:15:59Love, Kathy.
01:16:02P.S.
01:16:04Sis, you're young and you're smart.
01:16:06Don't listen to what they tell you.
01:16:10Believe in yourself.
01:16:12Believe in a new planet.
01:16:15I believe.
01:16:17Believe in yourself.
01:16:18Believe in yourself.
01:16:22Don't listen to what they turn to know.
01:16:24If you don't mind being famous,
01:16:25wait a minute.
01:16:28I'm going to believe in your Lord.
01:16:30Oh, my God.
01:16:32I hope it turns out.
01:16:33Amen.
01:16:34Amen.
01:16:37Amen.
01:16:39Amen.
01:16:41Amen.
01:16:42Amen.
01:16:45Amen.
01:16:46Amen.
01:16:47Amen.
01:16:47Where's Farron?
01:16:57Farron, Farron, the hell did you go?
