00:00If you're someone who buys or sells online, you're probably familiar with Craigslist,
00:08one of the trend-setting online classified sites.
00:11But there are some alternatives out there.
00:13It should be no surprise that Facebook lands on the list since it's one of the online giants,
00:18but its marketplace feature is becoming more widely used.
00:21Digital Trends says that you'll need to have a Facebook profile first,
00:24and you can set up your search filters for up to 100 miles away from your location.
00:28Whether it's through the site or an app, the feature is free and lets you put a face to the name, unlike Craigslist.
00:33Another popular site also has a classified section, and that's eBay.
00:37Famous for its auctions, Money Talks News says the site does have a classified section
00:42that caters to selling items locally, with filters to search within your zip code
00:46and finding free local pickup options.
00:48However, the site does say that eBay isn't free for sellers, with a listing usually costing $9.95 for 30 days.
00:54Let Go gets praise from Digital Trends for being user-friendly with its photo-heavy display.
01:00It is free to buy and sell, but while you do have to sign up for an account,
01:03it does mean that you can communicate without having to give your phone number to a stranger.
01:07And there are platforms out there that are more specialized, with one of them being Poshmark.
01:12Money Talks News says this marketplace site is focused on fashion,
01:15but if you're looking to make some cash on clothes or shoes buried in your closet, it's not free.
01:19The site says Poshmark charges a flat fee of $2.95 for sales under $15, and anything over that takes 20%.
