A group of mothers and protesters were zip-tied and taken away by police outside the Broadview ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) Detention Centre on Friday (November 7) as they protested a recent immigration arrest at a daycare centre that left children in tears and the community outraged. 00:03A group of mothers and protesters were detained by police outside the Broadview Ice Detention Center on Friday

00:10during a demonstration against a recent immigration arrest at a daycare center.

00:15The protest came after an incident on Wednesday in which federal agents arrested a daycare worker in front of children.

00:22There aren't enough people speaking up.

00:24There are people protesting here at this Broadview Ice Facility every Friday, but not enough.

00:30We are in our communities being terrorized by ICE and Border Patrol.

00:35We're a bunch of moms from suburban Chicago areas, and we're really outraged at what's happening in our communities,

00:42and ICE is making us a more fearful, dangerous place not coming to keep us safe.

00:50The American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois and others have sued the government on behalf of detainees,

00:56and a federal judge ordered officials to improve conditions that did not pass constitutional muster.

01:03U.S. President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown in Chicago began in September,

01:08targeting dangerous criminals without legal residency, but has resulted in over 3,000 arrests.

01:14The crackdown has included U.S. citizens and people with no criminal history.

01:20The crimes were associated with U.S. citizens, so they would like to be satisfied if the people just don't know,

01:25and they will help a large融

01:26and becoming thwarted by claiming their own land by hug,
