01:14dialogue and expanding trade, economic investment and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.
01:19And then they participated in the Summit of Central Asia and United States Leaders in
01:25the C5 Plus One format, which over the past 10 years, since its establishment, has become
01:31an effective mechanism for developing regional trade, transport and energy connections.
01:36This is the second time the summit is taking place.
01:39At this time, President Merzioev proposed about 10 initiatives, such as establishing a permanent
01:45secretariat to ensure continuous coordination and communication among member countries, creating
01:51a coordinating council on investment and trade to strengthen economic ties and facilitate
01:56regional business cooperation, launching the Central Asian Investment Partnership Fund to
02:01attract and manage joint investment in key regional projects, developing major transport,
02:07communication and energy projects to connect Central Asia with the South Caucasus and Europe.
02:13At the conclusion of the negotiations, President of Uzbekistan proposed to halt the next summit
02:19in the city of Samarkand and invited Donald Trump to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan.
02:25Kazakhstan has officially pledged to sign the Abraham Accords, a series of agreements first
02:30introduced in 2020 to normalize diplomatic relations between Israel and Arab nations.
02:36During the C5 Plus One summit in Washington, Donald Trump made an unprecedented gesture,
02:40inviting President Kassim Jumar Tokayev to join a phone call with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin
02:46Netanyahu to solidify Kazakhstan's intent to join the Accords.
02:50The C5 Plus One summit also yielded over $17 billion in new agreements between Kazakhstan
02:55and the U.S. companies, spanning mineral resources, digital technologies.
03:00The U.S. remains Kazakhstan's largest investor with more than $100 billion in cumulative
03:05investments, about 80% of all foreign investment in Central Asia.
03:09Bilateral trade has nearly doubled to $5 billion with more than 600 American companies now in
03:15operation in Kazakhstan.
