This special report focuses on a major controversy in Maharashtra involving Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's son, Parth Pawar, over an alleged land scam in Pune. The opposition has alleged that land reserved for Dalits, worth around ₹1,800 crore, was sold for approximately ₹300 crore to a company where Parth Pawar is a partner. In a post on X, Rahul Gandhi stated, 'This is 'land theft' by that government, which itself was formed through 'vote theft'.' The allegations include that Amadia Enterprises LLP purchased 40 acres of 'Mahar Watan' land at a fraction of its market value, and that stamp duty worth crores was also improperly waived. In response to the growing political storm, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has termed the issue 'serious' and ordered a high-level probe, leading to the suspension of a sub-registrar and tehsildar. Ajit Pawar has publicly distanced himself from the deal, stating he has no connection to it.

00:00Moving on, let's tell you about the big controversy playing out in Maharashtra over an alleged land loot and a big one involving Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's son, Parth of Pawar.
00:14Now, reportedly, land that was costing somewhere about 1,800 crore was sold at about 200 crore to an organization linked to Ajit Pawar's son, Parth of Pawar.
00:27The entire deal reeks of corruption, which is why at this point you've got Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis referring to this as a serious issue and ordering an investigation.
00:38Politics, of course, has kicked off with Congress's Rahul Gandhi also lashing out, accusing the Maharashtra government of stealing Dalit's rights.
00:47He also dragged in the Prime Minister. Let's tell you exactly what this allegation is all about in our next report.
00:57The heat is on Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar.
01:14Ajit Pawar's son, Parth Pawar, is under the scanner over a land deal.
01:19Amadia Enterprises, in which Parth is a partner, allegedly purchased land in Pune worth 1,800 crore rupees for less than 300 crore.
01:32The mandatory 2% stamp duty on the deal was allegedly waived.
01:38Activists are alleging the land sold to Amadia Enterprises is owned by the state government.
01:45The company allegedly submitted forged documents to get the deal through.
01:50After the case came to light, the Devendra Fadnavis government ordered FIR against the company.
01:56The government has set up a special investigation team to probe the deal and suspended the sub-registrar.
02:02Meanwhile, protests are raging in Mundua against Ajit Pawar.
02:11Parth Pawar, who is the son of Ajit Pawar, is a partner in Amadia company, and that company has made the land here in Pune.
02:22Today, Pune, in Pune, there are roads in the Pune area in the Pune area, there are roads in the Pune area.
02:26Everyone is here sitting here, who are roads in the Pune area.
02:30Everyone is saying that the land is right.
02:33Amid the growing heat, Ajit Pawar met CM Fadnavis at his residence.
02:46The NCP Supremo has already distanced himself from the controversy.
02:49Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has come down heavily on the Maharashtra government
03:18and questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence on the issue.
03:23His party colleague Vijay Namdev Rao Vadettivar, too, slammed the government.
03:29This is about 800 crores in the land of 300 crores.
03:33It is a 99% share of Pune power.
03:36The government is a land of the land of Maharashtra, which is a land of the title of the title of the title of the title.
03:42And it has not given anyone's power in the code, which has been cleared for the litigation.
03:46It is not the first time Ajit Pawar is facing allegations of corruption.
04:03But he has managed to emerge unscathed after joining hands with the BJP.
04:08It remains to be seen if any concrete action will be taken against his son by the government this time.
04:15With Omkar Babu Rao Wable, Bureau Report, India Today.
04:19So let me just explain these allegations right now that Ajit Pawar's family currently faces.
04:27This is about a land purchase.
04:30And the company at the heart of this is a company called Amadea Enterprises.
04:35They bought land for 294 crores rupees.
04:38Seems like a lot.
04:39But guess what?
04:40The land that was bought was actually worth 1,800 crores.
04:441,800 crores worth of land bought for 294 crores.
04:51Now, this company that we're referring to, Amadea Enterprises,
04:54Park Pawar is a partner in that very company.
04:57And it wasn't just about this massive discount, unexplained discount, by the way,
05:01but that the land was sold without even the payment of stamp duty.
05:05Now, imagine in a deal that's supposed to be thousands of crores,
05:07but settled for 294 crores.
05:09Even in that case, a 2% stamp duty would be somewhere near 25 crores.
05:13Wasn't paid.
05:14Waved off.
05:15God alone knows why.
05:16This firm allegedly also submitted forged documents.
05:20A criminal complaint will now be filed against the company.
05:23Now an inquiry has been ordered.
05:25So we'll have to see what really emerges from that probe.
05:28Ritwik Balikar is joining us with more details on this.
05:31Ritwik, there are several questions that arise over this kind of a deal
05:36that's been tagged dubious by many authorities so far.
05:39How has Ajit Pawar chosen to defend himself through this?
05:42Because even Chief Minister Fadnevis now has said that this is a very serious issue.
05:50Absolutely.
05:51Very rightly mentioned by you,
05:53a huge, massive land scam,
05:55which has rocked Maharashtra politics once again.
05:59And this time, it is Parth Pawar, son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar,
06:05who is under the scanner.
06:08Since morning, we saw several meetings undergoing between Ajit Pawar and Chief Minister Devendra
06:15Padnavis, in the morning, he visited Varsha Bangalore, official residence of CM Devendra
06:20Padnavis, for an event where Indian women's cricket team had come, where they were felicitated.
06:27But at that time, he could not have a discussion with CM Devendra Padnavis.
06:31So, he went back to his bungalow at a nearby Devgiri bungalow and he had a meeting with his senior
06:39party members, senior leaders, be it Prapul Patel or Maharashtra State President Sunil
06:45Padkare.
06:45And after an hour of meeting within the party, then he again went to CM's bungalow.
06:53He had nearly one and a half hours long discussion with CM Devendra Padnavis.
06:58What sources are telling us is that an interim report which has been sought by the government,
07:04now eight days extension is given and a committee is set up and a high probe will be taking place
07:12in this matter. And before that, Ajit Pawar is trying to meet CM Devendra Padnavis and he's
07:19trying to convince and he's trying to tell what the real fact is. And in a short while,
07:24after the party meetings which he has attended, now he's going to address media shortly after
07:31a brief discussion with CM Devendra Padnavis. He has put his stance that CM Devendra Padnavis
07:37has ordered a probe and we are waiting for the report to come out. Now we'll have to
07:43see what Ajit Pawar will address media in a short while.
07:47So we'll see what he has to say. Thanks, Ritwik, for joining us with those details.
07:50Thanks, Ritwik.
07:51Thanks, Ritwik.
