00:21ever think as a little girl you'd be honored at the women of the year awards for you know

00:26your beautiful sport no of course not i think for us we set out to be professional players

00:32and it was never really there to be one so growing up you had to fight battles

00:37setbacks but those setbacks shape who we are and i'm grateful for the journey and privileged to be

00:43here tonight amongst so many special people do you know what you've done for young girls out there

00:47it's actually quite incredible you must be able to see people online and coming through the ranks that

00:53watched you all those years ago how does that feel as well yeah it touches me every time to see young

00:58girls with opportunities to play the sport that we love it's amazing to see but we keep going we keep

01:03pushing our sports on and those girls given opportunities in schools and after school clubs and

01:09really enjoying the sport i'm very grateful for the position i'm in but we can keep doing more we can

01:15keep our foot on the gas and unfortunately they only listen to us when we're successful so we have to

01:20keep being successful this is it i saw your funding as well this week you've done some more of that

01:25which is incredible for young women and what about the fact that you're now a double champion as well

01:30do you ever come down to earth and where are your medals i'm always down to earth i never forget where

01:35i come from i enjoy the journey the highs the lows and everything in between and honestly my medals are

01:41at my mom's house or in my i don't actually know right now i moved house not too long ago they're probably

01:46in my underwear drawer now how's married life by the way married life's amazing um scott's with me

01:53every step of the way through all the highs and the lows i'm grateful that he's with me here tonight and

01:58married life is no different but i'm grateful to have someone amazing by my side i love it and

02:03what's happening with the whatsapp group with you girls do people come and go like how does it work

02:07with all you chaps no we we have a great chat from 22 and i think that's called tuesday and a great chat

02:14from 2025 and that's called monday just because our night out after it came on a tuesday and a monday

02:21so that's how it goes and yeah the girls that are retired always wish us the best of luck for our games

02:26and it's amazing to see what what we've done for women's sport and when you win the next one what's

02:31the celebration going to be because it needs to top the other ones yeah i don't think anything tops being

02:36going down the mile on an open top bus and as an english as an english person that is incredible you

02:44don't even dream for them moments but it's we're very privileged and just finally who's your

02:49influence you know growing up you're not allowed to say your mom because that's always obvious okay

02:54my mom had to be but kelly smith for sure what she done for women's football is incredible

03:01so always grateful and now learning from her being my coach so it's incredible to learn from such an

03:07incredible woman thank you so much thank you so much come on you spurs
