00:00Diana is a wonderful mother, teacher, and friend to our community, and we are
00:15grieving her absence tonight. We are full of sadness, but we are also filled with
00:21rage. Diana was targeted, stolen, on her way to care for our children by armed
00:30intruders from a private business without a warrant. They did this during school hours
00:39when children were present. These agents care little for the safety of our
00:45children. Instead, all they care about is their $50,000 bonus check, and pleasing
00:51their overlord, Donald Trump.
00:58We, the parents of Rayito, demand the immediate release of Diana to her family and community.
01:05The recognition of learning environments being treated as sacred spaces, where
01:14children and their teachers are safe from abduction and violence.
01:21Federal agents should be held accountable for entering this establishment illegally.
01:29Every single one of the daycare workers is afraid. Imagine taking your child to a daycare
01:37where they are now at risk of their teachers leaving them in the class because they have
01:43been detained for being brown, for speaking Spanish. My family came here to improve our situation.
01:52I am proud. I am proud of where I come from. I am proud of what my parents have done for me.
01:59And then when Trump got reelected, I had this fear. Yeah, yuck. I had this fear, like, what if Rayito was targeted?
02:13And I just kept brushing it aside, you know, like, oh, you're fine, you're fine.
02:17And then my worst nightmare came true. She's no longer there.
02:21But, you know, all these children have been traumatized by what has happened to see their teacher dragged out so violently as if she were not a person.
02:34And that's what's happening to us. We are being dehumanized.
02:37It's sick. It's white supremacy. And it's something that, as a culture, we need to reckon with because that's where it comes from.
02:46We're being targeted because we're brown.
02:49My name is Maria Guzman, and I am a daughter of immigrants.
