Welcome to Sustaination.
00:02
Have you ever worried about rising electricity bills?
00:05
Or the ever-changing cost of fuel?
00:07
Today, those challenges are about to change
00:10
through the Quick Big Win Energy Initiative,
00:12
a national fast-track policy designed to cut costs
00:16
and increase income for people and farmers across Thailand.
00:20
It begins with the solar-powered water pumping project for agriculture,
00:24
more than 1,200 systems nationwide,
00:27
supporting over 112,000 hectares of farmland.
00:31
Farmers can now pump water for free, all year round,
00:35
saving up to 15,000 baht per household annually,
00:38
while reducing over 600,000 tons.
00:42
Next, the Community Solar Farm Program,
00:45
turning sunlight into sustainable income.
00:48
More than 300 communities across the country
00:51
can now sell electricity directly to the state,
00:54
generating over 3 billion baht in local revenue annually
00:58
and cutting greenhouse gas emissions by around 800,000 tons per year.
01:02
You don't have to own a farm to take part.
01:05
Every household can install solar rooftops,
01:08
saving 800 to 1,500 baht per month on electricity bills
01:13
and receiving tax deductions of up to 200,000 baht.
01:17
Together, Thai households help reduce electricity consumption
01:21
by over 585 million kilowatt-hours annually
01:25
and lower CO2 emissions by another 280,000 tons per year.
01:30
Another source of pride for EGIT,
01:32
the Hydro Floating Solar Hybrid Project,
01:35
a groundbreaking innovation that combines solar power and hydropower
01:39
with a total capacity of 1,600 megawatts.
01:43
This hybrid system helps lower national energy costs
01:47
and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 800,000 tons each year.
01:51
But the quick big win doesn't stop here.
01:54
It marks the beginning of Thailand's clean energy transition.
01:58
The nation is moving toward the net-zero 2050 target
02:02
through the new Power Development Plan, PDP,
02:06
which increases the share of renewable energy,
02:09
drives more than 700 billion baht in investment
02:12
and creates tens of thousands of new jobs across the country.
02:16
Because every ray of light is power.
02:19
Every project is the future of our nation.
02:22
And every drop of water behind the dam
02:24
is clean energy for the people of Thailand.
