00:00I did vote for Mr. Zoran Mondamy.
00:18Yes, yes.
00:20Why?
00:21Because he was the only one that was addressing the concerns of my community.
00:25Well, what I hope for from him is just a change in the way that the Democratic Party has approached its constituents.
00:37For too many years, they've taken our votes for granted.
00:40They take our votes, but they're beholden to the donor class.
00:43So the donor class at this point has to recognize that they have to share the wealth.
00:48They've hoarded the wealth for far too long, and it's enough, and it's about time that the rest of the working people are being acknowledged,
00:57because he's for the working people.
00:59And I'm from a family of working people, working immigrants, parents who came here.
01:04I'm first generation American, and they came here, worked, educated us, put our kids, put us through school, and they retired and they went back home.
01:11So they lived the American dream. I know what the American dream is.
01:15My grandmother went to that church right there.
01:19So I did Sunday school as a kid right over there.
01:22So I grew up in this community.
01:23So I feel that I'm indebted to this community, because this community made me the man that I am today, spiritually, mentally, and physically.
01:40Affordable housing is totally necessary. As you can see, I'm from NYCHA. I grew up in NYCHA.
01:45This is one of the reasons why I maintain my NYCHA status is because it's one of the last batches of affordability we have in New York City.
01:51Everything here is way too high.
01:53So this pantry we do every Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
02:00So this morning we had about two shipments come in, which is about a total of about eight pallets.
02:06So we take the pallets, we break them down, and then we take them inside.
02:10We set them up for distribution.
02:13So as you can see, the day starts out with us bringing the stuff inside, and then we have people line up from now.
02:32The community taking care of the community in this day and time, especially during the times of uncertainty and food insecurity.
02:39I want to teach people how to care for you.
02:49Hello.
02:50As you can see, this is our pantry.
03:04What's up, how are you?
03:06Hello.
03:07How are you?
03:08This is Mr. Andre, the coordinator who keeps everything exactly inside.
03:11Hello, how are you doing?
03:12Hi.
03:13How are you?
03:14This is all the stuff that we're going to give out today.
03:17Thank you, thank you.
03:25Sorry.
03:26One of the shops, the staple stuff.
03:28We also have a bag of fresh crows that we're going to give out as well.
03:32Oh, okay.
03:33Yeah.
03:34Is that what they're going to give today?
03:39Put your pressure inside.
03:40Put your pressure inside.
03:41Put your pressure inside.
03:42His whole campaign was about affordability.
03:46And for far too long, politicians have ignored that component.
03:55In the end, I want the prospects to be just as good as they were for me coming up, that I could always look forward to living the American dream.
04:02So hopefully he gives us a chance and I'm well aware that I think he might.
04:07Yeah.
04:08Okay.
04:09Okay.
04:10So you have zones of hope.
04:11Yeah.
04:12Very, I'm very hopeful.
04:13Yes.
04:14I voted for Mondami.
04:15Bye.
04:16Uh-huh.
04:17Uh-huh.
04:18And I hope that Mondami could keep the, like, open up, like, a safe spot for New York City teenagers, where they could take them off the streets and keep them safe.
04:22Because there's a lot of teenagers dying outside and subway surfing.
04:27And so I hope he could, like, try to put an end to that.
04:32And I hope the fair fairs come and then everybody gets to ride the bus for free.
04:33And that's what I hope Mondami could do for us.
04:34Right.
04:35Right.
04:36Right.
04:37Right.
04:38Right.
04:39Right.
04:40Right.
04:41Right.
04:42Right.
04:43Right.
04:44Right.
04:45Right.
04:46Right now the bus is right behind you and another bus came.
04:47Yes.
04:48Right.
04:49Right now the fair is required.
04:50So you would go for the free bus.
04:51I hope for the free buses and better for New York City.
04:52That's what I hope for.
04:53I hope for the free buses and better for New York City.
04:58pandemic could do for us right now the bus is right behind you and another bus
05:02came yeah now the fare is required so yeah I hope for the free buses and
