00:00The UEFA Champions League group stage has kicked off with drama, surprises and plenty of headline moments.
00:09From stunning victories to defensive masterclasses, Europe's elite clubs are already making their mark.
00:16Liverpool under Arne Schlott have started with authority.
00:20Their 1-0 win over Real Madrid at Anfield showcased the team's defensive discipline and attacking fluidity.
00:27Chevy Alonso's side, while still brimming with European pedigree, have looked less dominant than in previous seasons, giving opponents belief they can be beaten.
00:37Impressive, because we played against an incredible side team that's in an unbelievable run of form, only lost once, won all the other games.
00:52If you can win against them, but also with the performance we had, that's very positive.
01:00But apart from everything we can say, we beat them because of a set-piece.
01:07So, it's nicer to talk about this if you win, because if you lose, people come up with that, I try to find excuses.
01:16But a positive set-piece balance is the minimum you need to get a result, nine out of ten times, and that's what we had today.
01:23Newcastle United have been the surprise package. Back-to-back victories, including a 4-0 triumph only of Union SG, have seen Eddie Howe's squad make waves.
01:34Dan Byrne has been a rock at the back, highlighting the Magpies' growing European credentials.
01:40So, we've had the season, and we're right in the midst of a run of games that is hugely enjoyable, but hugely challenging.
01:50I think we're disappointed with our Premier League form and the inability to string consistent results together.
01:57And I think that's where the competitions that we're in makes it difficult, because you can find consistency in one.
02:04And it seems like you're being consistent. Our recent run of games hasn't been too bad, and results-wise has actually been pretty strong.
02:10But in the Premier League in particular, we just haven't got those back-to-back wins that we need to elevate ourselves.
02:17Tottenham Hotspur under Thomas Frank have been a study in contrast.
02:21Their recent 4-0 win over Copenhagen. Impressed, but inconsistency has left fans on edge.
02:27Still flashes of brilliance hint at what this squad can achieve when firing on all cylinders.
02:33I need to say something about the games. I've been a pundit myself sometimes, so I know it's easier to be that than stand down there.
02:45I saw a good performance today, which I'm happy with. We talk a lot about bounce-back mentality, because in life and football there will be setbacks.
02:58Every team will experience that. And it's how we react to that, to come out after a bad game or a bad spell, and come back into it.
03:07You know, that's part of a good team.
03:10I'm very happy with the response the players came with today. I think we controlled the game from minute one to the end, more or less.
03:19There was, of course, a little bit above the red card. Then Miki decided it should not be a problem.
03:23Then we won a very good win in Champions League, and it's never easy. I know Copenhagen hadn't had a good start, but I just know they are, in general, very difficult to play against.
03:35And I am pretty sure we will not see them lose 4-0 again in Champions League.
03:40Arsenal continues to build quietly, but effectively.
03:44Michael Arteta's side have kept multiple clean sheets in Europe, combining defensive solidity with measured attacking play.
03:51The Gunners' disciplined performances suggest they could be serious contenders in the knockout stages.
03:58I think the margin was, at the end, it looked comfortable, but I don't think it was a comfortable match at all.
04:04And not only the win, but as well the fact that we had some players that they haven't played much, playing, performing really well.
04:10Mikel stepping up as a nine and scoring two goals.
04:14Max making his debut and probably the youngest ever, probably.
04:18Andre as well, so a lot of positives tonight.
04:21From Liverpool's resurgence to Newcastle's rise, Tottenham's highs and lows, and Arsenal's defensive fortress.
04:27The group stage has already delivered unforgettable moments as the knockout rounds loom.
04:32One thing is certain in the Champions League, it's not just history or pedigree that counts.
04:37It's courage, belief and hunger that can turn matches into legend.
