Snake in the Eagle's Shadow (1978) is a Hong Kong martial arts film starring Jackie Chan as an orphan who is bullied at his kung fu school. He befriends an old beggar who teaches him the "Snake's Fist" style, and Chan's character eventually creates a new hybrid style combining Snake's Fist with the movements of a cat. The movie follows his journey as he uses his new skills to defend his mentor from a deadly "Eagle Claw" master.
