01:00I think what you're seeing is a civil war in the Democratic Party that has been brewing
01:15for a while.
01:15You have an extreme radical left that is run by the socialists that is challenging what
01:24are we called moderate Democrats.
01:26I'm a moderate Democrat.
01:28And that contest is what you're seeing here.
01:34You're seeing it all across the country.
01:36At one time, the Republican Party had a challenge from the far right, the Tea Party.
01:42And the moderates pushed back the challenge from the Tea Party.
01:47This is the inverse.
01:48You have the far socialist left challenging the moderates.
01:52I'm a Democrat like Mario Cuomo, like Bill Clinton, like Barack Obama, like John Kennedy, like
02:01their grandfather, their other grandfather, Robert Kennedy.
02:06That's my school of democratic politics.
02:10And that's what I'm fighting to preserve.
02:12Alright, Democrats are not extreme socialists.
02:16We're not against the police.
02:19We don't believe the NYPD are racist.
02:21We don't believe they should be abolished.
02:23We don't believe in abolishing jails.
02:25We don't believe in doing away with misdemeanors.
02:27We don't believe in decriminalizing prostitution.
02:30That is not us.
02:31We are a party of law and order.
02:33David Dinkins, great Democrat, first thing he did when he took office, hire more cops,
02:39keep New Yorkers safe.
02:41So that's the contest you see happening here.
02:45I think if the far left socialists were to win, I think long term it would be very detrimental
02:52to the future of the Democratic Party.
02:55This country is not the socialist country.
02:58The city is not a socialist city.
03:00The state is not a socialist state.
03:03Socialism has never worked anywhere on the globe.
03:08Not Venezuela.
03:09Not Cuba.
03:10It's not going to work in New York City.
03:13Yes.
03:14All in the law.
03:15All in the law.
03:16Stay here.
03:17Stay here.
03:18Stay here.
03:19Stay here.
03:20Stay here.
03:21Stay here.
03:22How are you?
03:23I'm fine.
03:24I'm fine.
03:25How are you?
03:26Nice to see you.
03:27Go democracy!
03:28Go democracy!
03:29Woo!
03:30What do you mean by that?
03:33Hey, just keep going.
03:35The results today cement your legacy, sir.
03:37Sir, where's the bell buckle from?
03:39The campaign you've run so far.
03:41Yes.
03:43Governor, what's the message to those who think a vote for you is a vote for Trump?
03:56What do you say to those New Yorkers in a closing moment?
03:58Donald Trump, his message was simple.
04:01He is not supporting me, Donald Trump.
04:04He said the day before he's not a fan.
04:06He opposes Zoran Mandami.
04:08And he's saying that a vote for Sliwa is a vote for Mandami, which is true.
04:14The president is nothing if not pragmatic.
04:18Curtis Sliwa is a Republican.
04:20His point is, well, Republicans may vote for Sliwa because he's a Republican.
04:26But there is no chance for Sliwa to win.
04:30And in effect, a vote for Sliwa is a vote for Mandami.
04:34And I agree with him there.
04:36All that does is make Curtis Sliwa a spoiler.
04:42My record with President Trump is 100% clear.
04:46I was governor.
04:47He was president.
04:48No one fought for New York more forcefully against President Trump than I did.
04:54We had battle royales, many of them.
04:59And if there's anyone who can protect New York against President Trump, it's me.
05:04If Zoran Mandami were mayor, Trump would go through him like a hot knife through butter.
05:10He wouldn't even, he would just step over here.
05:13He said, Where do you go?
05:15He's going wherever he goes.
05:16I'm going to the street utveckles, thank you.
05:17Out of the streets briefles.
05:18Out of the streets briefles.
05:19Thank you you.
05:20Out of the streets briefles.
05:21Back.
05:23Back.
05:28Back.
05:30Back.
05:32Back.
05:33Back.
05:34Back.
