00:06The group arrived on Friday and spent much of the weekend purchasing goods in Jamaica
00:10in an effort to support the island's economy.
00:14CMTT says it purchased approximately US$22,000 in relief supplies,
00:20creating roughly 500 hampers,
00:23and have started distribution in the most hard-hit areas,
00:26such as Black River, Newell Mountainside, Bigwood, Knoxwood, and Williamsfield.
00:33The concerned Muslims of TNT also visited and provided aid to TNT students in Mona.
00:39So today we were able to purchase approximately US$5,000 in products,
00:47namely baked beans, tuna, soap powder, soap,
00:54and 150 cases of water for the Triana and Tobago students
00:59at the University of the West Indies in Mona campus.
01:04These products that we purchased were based on their request.
01:09Things like the regular food products like rice and sugar and flour and so on,
01:14because they have limited ability to do any kind of cooking
01:21because of the electricity going and coming and things like that,
01:26you know, they just try to stick with those canned-type food items.
01:31Let's go.
