00:11selfless men and women that you worked alongside for nearly three years so as of this moment

00:16you're under arrest these were moments when cops were betrayed by their partners starting with

00:22this officer who got embarrassed by his supervisor he's under arrest for what for trespassing and

00:28for uh disorderly conduct it's not trespassing on july 28th 2016 colorado police officer chris

00:36dickey responded to reports from a disgruntled staff member at the adams county human services

00:40building regarding two protesters engaged in non-violent protest outside the facility

00:46i thought i would have gotten like a calendar invite or something well it's every day would

00:50you mind just lowering that for me would you mind lowering it for me i don't want it used as a

01:31people while these protesters may have been a pain in the ass they were fully within their rights as

01:47they were peacefully demonstrating outside a public building an action protected by law however the

01:52officer seemingly dissatisfied with their refusal to comply with his demands followed them to the

01:57sidewalk in an attempt to make an arrest gentlemen i need your i need your id please so i can write

02:24got it the chase went on for a while during which the officer fired his taser at the protester with

02:38one of the probes piercing and lodging in the man's arm however before the officer could catch up to the

02:43protester a police supervisor arrived at the scene and he wasn't exactly pleased with officer dickey's

02:48actions he is under arrest he's under arrest for what for trespassing and for uh disorderly conduct

02:58when he's in front of the business he's yelling fuck everybody

03:05officer dickey was visibly frustrated about not getting his way and from the way the officers had

03:35turned off their body cameras there was lots of background scolding for officer dickey the

03:39protester who had been tased required hospital treatment to have the barb from the taser probe

03:43surgically removed he later filed a lawsuit against the city and the police over the officers actions

03:48ultimately receiving a 175 000 settlement from the city next a police officer was betrayed by a fellow

03:55officer when he was arrested by one of them let him go he assaulted me i'm gonna give you one more

04:02second to let him go and get back before you get tased step around the vehicle now step around the

04:08vehicle now on may 2nd 2014 off-duty new mexico police officer charles vernier became involved in

04:15an altercation with a repo man and his wife who had arrived to repossess vernier's car after he

04:20allegedly defaulted on a loan instead of surrendering the vehicle the six feet five inches vernier placed

04:25the repo man in a lateral vascular neck restraint leaving both the repo man and his wife pleading

04:31with him with him to stop charles let him go give us the key

06:40with him vernier reluctantly released the repo man and attempted to flee but his efforts were

06:45unsuccessful he was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and interference with a police

06:50officer following the incident he resigned from his position as a police officer in the next case a

06:56corrections officer betrayed his entire department and colleagues smuggling contraband into prison to

07:00aid a murder suspect you're fired you're no longer an employee here you've betrayed the trust

07:07of every citizen that we have the privilege to serve on october 10th 2022 colin county detention

07:14officer tyler moody was compelled to confess to investigators after another officer discovered a

07:19cell phone and charger in a murder suspect's cell the contraband appeared to have been supplied by

07:24moody prompting the sheriff to personally address the situation struggling to comprehend why moody would

07:29betray the department in such a manner moody i understand that you've offered your resignation is

07:33that correct

08:29moody was arrested and charged with a third degree felony for introducing prohibited items into a

08:45correctional or civil commitment facility the inmate also faced additional charges related to possession

08:50of the contraband cell phone the next officer a rookie lost his job for making an incredibly foolish

08:55decision abusing his police powers on july 2nd 2022

09:00matthew amesquita a newly hired ruidoso police officer with only six weeks on the job was sent home

09:06by his field training officer to shave after finishing amesquita accidentally locked himself

09:11out of his house leaving his body camera and key inside in a desperate attempt to regain entry

09:16he kicked down his door however what the rookie officer did next he would forever regret

09:21for reasons known only to the rookie officer he radioed in a report of a break-in at his apartment

09:41despite being the one who had kicked down his own door officers responded to the scene but began to

09:46suspect something was amiss when they found nothing missing from the home this led to the

09:50deployment of a detective which spelled trouble for officer matthew so you went to walmart your car

09:56didn't work so you didn't buy nothing came back home yeah came in you wound up using your electric

10:04razor yeah which i mean everything's still over there okay but i used that got everything done was

10:10when i go back 81 and that's when i realized my body cam is still on on the sink i was going to come

10:16back down to get it and the door was quite open

10:18how long are you just keep 21 21 you know how long i've been doing this

10:34so i'm pretty good about reading situations you know what i mean

10:46so i want you to know that first of all

10:51you know i can help you out if there's something else going on here okay

10:55but i need you as an officer to be 100 percent honest with me right now yes sir 100 percent yes

11:04sir the detective gave officer matthew an opportunity to come clean but matthew was

11:09unaware that the detective already had irrefutable evidence as matthew continued to lie the detective

11:15revealed the smoking gun

11:16this you leave in walmart yes sir with the bag in your hand yes i bought a candy if that's it

11:25what candy with your cart with uh

11:28okay but you didn't use that to buy your razor no sir no how come no i mean i realized that i had my

11:41electric shaver here so i didn't really see the need to actually buy that some more money

11:44matthew had initially claimed he couldn't make a purchase at walmart because his card wasn't working

11:49however the detective had cctv footage showing that he did make a purchase further exposing

11:55inconsistencies in his story and giving the detective the leverage needed to get matthew to confess

12:00so listen ski this is this is the time okay this is a very important juncture in your life

12:07yes sir okay where i want you to be 100 straight with me if you messed up and you kicked your door

12:15because maybe you forgot your key maybe because you were pissed off stuff happens if i was in a bind

12:23and i had to kick my door i'd kick my door okay that's when we got to help each other out

13:25result his full police gear was confiscated and he was arrested on the spot by the responding

13:29officers he was taken to jail charged with filing a false police report and subsequently dismissed from

13:35the department the next case was extremely heartbreaking as a police officer was betrayed

13:40by his partner who is his wife how do you know this woman uh gender this year is your first time

13:46out with her oh really uh the only the only issue that that's my wife while on duty a police officer

13:54conducted a random traffic stop only to discover that the driver he pulled over was with his own

13:58partner his unfaithful wife

16:27however the encounter was most likely staged

16:30as the footage didn't resemble a real police dash cam

16:33despite this

16:34the incident provided quite the comic relief

16:36the next case involved a female officer

16:38who brought shame to her department

16:40by engaging in an inappropriate sexual relationship with an inmate

16:44on september 17th 2024

16:49the metropolitan detention center uncovered that one of their corrections officers

16:52siobhan colbreth was involved in an inappropriate sexual relationship with an inmate

16:58the incident was reported to the bernalillo county sheriff's office

17:01which promptly dispatched a deputy to investigate at the correctional facility

17:05so when he first came in february

17:09he was he's been trying to talk to me but i kept walking past this cell ignoring him

17:18i don't know all the ceo's names but a few months ago i did see a ceo give a bill coffee beans

17:26i was like oh he's been here for a while and he didn't hide it

17:29so one day i forgot what candy i gave the rain

17:34i did get him like it was so candy

17:36and then since then he's been saying like

17:40he's going to tell

17:42there are times where i do put this so

17:44and then there's times when he's trying to like do this

17:47the hand gesture to grab me in

17:49and he even says that i just want to put you in here

17:52and he's like no that's not going to happen

17:53and there's times where he'll touch my arm

17:57uh he did like kiss me

18:01and then he said that he's going to tell

18:04i didn't do anything or we're at the closet

18:07i was like i'm just trying to give you the proof

18:09and then he tried to unbuckle

18:13and i told him to stop i pushed him away

18:16and then he kept coming towards me

18:20so he he's the one that unbuckled and turned me around

18:25i wasn't on top of him

18:27i didn't do anything he turned me around

18:29and then he told me afterward

18:33i told you that i was going to do it

18:35okay

18:35so here's what's going to happen next

19:33the next officer went beyond betrayal

19:35by shooting her colleague in both the legs and an arm

19:43on october 13th 2024

19:46albuquerque police officers responded

19:48to a domestic disturbance report

19:50involving 41 year old matthew sanchez

19:52and his partner

19:53sanchez

19:54a felon prohibited from possessing firearms

19:56was firing sporadically into the air

19:59police department
