00:00My name is Leland B. Martin and I play Ty Jarrett in Sworn Justice.
00:07You pick up with Ty after he's closed five plea bargains.
00:13He's on a hot streak and he's feeling himself.
00:16And he feels like, hey, I'm going to go ahead and ask out Sophie.
00:19And then a whole bunch of other things happen that he didn't plan for.
00:23So in shooting an action movie, I've never actually shot an action film before.
00:29This is a whole new experience for me.
00:31I've shot all types of genres from drama, comedy, what have you name it.
00:36I've shot it except for action.
00:38This is totally different and it's been amazing.
00:42Is this a joke?
00:43You got in the wrong car.
00:45You can stop playing games or Sophie's dead.
00:48Hey, you said a ride was waiting. You didn't specify.
00:52The exciting parts of shooting an action film are the fight scenes.
00:56All the action that you get to do, the choreography, learning it, being physical, the back and the forth.
01:02I love all of that because it's a different dynamic than just lines in a story.
01:07It's a physical act out of a scene.
01:10It's a whole new experience and I love the experience of it all.
01:22Given this particular film, it's just how fast we have to move to get everything fit in.
01:27Because not only do we have to do the dialogue, but we also have to do the physical choreography.
01:32So that's another set of rehearsals, that's another set of takes that we have to fit in.
01:36So it's a lot of movement and it was really, really fast.
01:41I just shot a fight scene yesterday in this church.
01:43It was so much fun.
01:44That was my first time actually shooting an action sequence with fight choreography.
01:49It was great.
01:52Well, in between takes, I like to take long walks on the beach.
01:55You know, I like to look at sunsets and, no, I'm just playing.
01:59Honestly, me and my cast members, we go over our lines.
02:02We run a lot of lines.
02:03Because we move so fast, we have to stay on top of things.
02:05There's not really a lot of downtime outside of what we have to eat and do other things that are necessary.
02:11But when it comes to the takes themselves between them, we're running.
02:16Running lines over and over and over again to get it right.
02:19To give a good product for the people.
02:25I think the audience will connect with the love story.
02:28That's, that's as age old as Adam and Eve.
02:32This will stop the bleeding.
02:39There you go.
02:44It's something where people can connect when they see other people connecting.
02:48It's just something that's innate within us.
02:50So the audience is definitely going to connect to that.
02:52And all the cool stuff that goes on.
02:54I mean, you talk about fights and explosions and all types of crazy stuff going on.
02:59High stress.
03:00A lot of ticking clocks happening in this particular movie.
03:03this particular movie.
03:04So you will be on the edge you will see them.
