00:00On this competition with St Johnson, Elijah Just is preferred to Callum Slattery, Ibrahim Saeed comes in on the left while Apostolos Samathlopoulos, who's scored four times in his last three starts, gets the nod as the centre forward.
00:15Tawanda Maswanise is Maniwell's top scorer with nine, four of which have come in the Premier Sports Cup.
00:21Steven Robertson's alterations come in the form of Alex Gogic and Jadon Richardson who return from suspension, Miguel Freckleton does play after being a major doubt with a thigh problem, he did score against Hawks on Wednesday night, Mark O'Hara goes up against his old side, Mikkel Mandroin makes his 100th Samira appearance and has five goals in this season's competition, while Dan Lindeloo has scored in each of his last two games.
00:51in the last two outings.
00:59All Samirin have celebrated success 13 years ago in this competition, Steven Robertson has a long list of achievements since he came to Samirin and he looks to add a trophy.
01:15Jens Berthlaski and his side have many admirers, a brave, expansive approach, but it is not without risks, the fans have certainly got behind the day, the Steelers have looked for their first trophy for 34 years.
01:32John Robertson is the man in charge of the Premier Sports Cup semi-final.
01:39Semi-final.
01:40Draw a line between Paisley and Motherwell, the midpoint is almost spot on Hampden Park, two teams so closely matched with very different styles, Motherwell versus Samirin in the first Premier Sports Cup semi-final.
01:42Glasgow's south side.
01:43Glasgow's south side is the one in the first half of the Premier Sports Cup semi-final.
01:49Ongelo is a little short on that ball back to begin.
01:50Glasgow's south side is the one in the first half of the Premier Sports Cup.
01:56Two teams so closely matched with very different styles, two teams so closely matched with very different styles, Motherwell versus Samirin in the first Premier Sports Cup semi-final.
02:07Glasgow's south side.
02:11Ongelo is a little short on that ball back to begin and then they locked it all through.
02:21Just not quite connected with by Mikkel Mandron.
02:28Well you can see, Ongelo just playing it short for Paul McKinn.
02:35Bit of a hospital pass, fortunately for the left back.
02:40Well you can expect a few nerves at this early stage I would suggest, but how do you see the two styles of these sides matching up?
02:50Well I think it's clear for everybody to see that Motherwell are a team that want to dominate the ball.
02:56They want to get controlled possession into the final third.
03:00Whereas for Samirin, the key for them is really getting the ball into the front players as quickly as possible.
03:07They're not too concerned about retaining possession and they're obviously extremely difficult to break down when they're out of possession.
03:16And we've heard the managers talking about it before the game.
03:20You've heard Jim Goodwin as well talking about how he set his Dungeons United team up against Motherwell during the week.
03:26And how Steven Robinson is aware of that and tried to do similarly against Jens Bertolasco's side.
03:34Herald in the campaign and I'm just going to set off a little bit and try and make sure that Mullowell are not going to be getting controlled possession into dangerous areas.
03:43So I'll be able to see who's able to get on top with their style.
03:48Herald do average just under 60% possession in their Premiership matches, only Celtican Rangers have more than that.
04:00I think the key thing for me is with regards to Mullowell in this is that they need to get quick penetrative passes.
04:09Watt and Fidinger in the middle of the park are vital to that.
04:14Getting the ball into Saeed to just, getting the ball into their feet in behind the St Mirren midfield.
04:21If they're able to do that, little pockets of space then that's when they'll really start to hurt the men from Paisley.
04:29There's Elijah just held off by Hylian Phillips.
04:38And then Blue was the target of his ball forward.
04:44That's a great pass there.
04:49I'm sure you and I will both have trouble as the game unfolds.
04:58Tried to distinguish between Fidinger and Watt in the middle of the park.
05:07That will come to Maswanisi.
05:10Options in the middle, Maswanisi drags it back.
05:13Just big chance, claims of handball.
05:16Waved away by Don Robertson.
05:18VAR of course will be.
05:21Having a look at that.
05:23Well, what an opportunity.
05:25Maswanisi's ball, he chokes the cut back a little bit.
05:29Now eventually it falls perfectly for just, but I think it deflects first of all off of Kylian Phillips.
05:35You look as he comes out, deflects off of him and hits his teammate.
05:38There's no doubt that there's never a penalty kick.
05:41I would imagine that that's exactly what the officials will be looking at there.
05:46Up off of Phillips on to Kiana Bacchus.
05:50Thankfully the officials seeing sense.
05:53Gordon out to John Katrumbis.
06:11Carl Ward and goals.
06:22Stamatlopoulos.
06:23Gogic giving him no space whatsoever.
06:26Richardson goes down.
06:32It will be a goal kick.
06:34Don Robertson keen for the play to go on.
06:37Yeah, I think that was definitely a case of didn't give a free kick the first time around for Motherwell.
06:44He was never going to be giving it one for Richardson there.
06:48It's Elliot Watt looking for that ball out to the right hand side.
06:56It's really well picked out for Katrumbis.
07:00Australian field two, Saeed just.
07:05Maybe the man that operates in that ten-roll just behind Stamatlopoulos.
07:13Saeed's come off his flank as well.
07:15Comes into him from Maswanise, Saeed.
07:18Away from Richardson and now Longelope.
07:22He's had a roaring start to his Motherwell career.
07:27Longelope unable to get it past Richardson, but the first corner of the game will go Motherwell's way.
07:33Well, that's good play from Motherwell.
07:37Elliot Watt, not surprisingly, is at the centre of a lot of it.
07:41He starts with a raking crossfield pass out to Johnny Katrumbis.
07:46Again, he's picking up the second balls in and around the edge of the box, just recirculating possession.
07:52Spreading the game side to side.
07:56Trying to open up the St Mirren back line.
07:58Not to take it short for just a lot again.
08:14All towards that back post and no chances taken, it will be another corner kick and St Mirren can reset.
08:23Obviously the discussion beforehand about the size of the park, the surface and who's that going to favour.
08:39It's an interesting one because I think there's aspects of it that the guys were talking about will potentially be in the favour of either side.
08:53Longelope also opting to go short.
08:57It is sent in towards Paul McGinn and there will be another corner kick.
09:03The Manuel captain doing enough to enforce that.
09:06There are two spells as a St Mirren player.
09:09I think that's Mikhail Mandarón at the front post there just getting the touch.
09:15This time directly into the middle.
09:29Philips challenging.
09:31Just plays it off him and will force a fourth corner.
09:41This razor seems to be adamant that he came back off of Just.
09:47Just Hem and St Mirren in at the moment.
09:51It's been very difficult for Saints to get out.
09:54Pressure building.
09:55Not really had a quality delivery though from one of these corners as yet.
10:03Elliot Watts.
10:07Passage of pressure from Motherwell.
10:10We're just talking about the size of the pitch.
10:18I think in general play you would assume that it's going to benefit Motherwell for the space in possession.
10:24But clearly I think as was mentioned pre-match.
10:28It also then means when St Mirren do win the ball that there is going to be space for them to counter quickly.
10:34And to play those balls in behind the Motherwell back line for the athletic front men to get on to.
10:46Decision goes against Kiera Bacchus.
10:49A poor second spell.
10:51A re-signing from Mansfield.
11:04The ball of Watt over it.
11:17There's Watt, going off is to Matalopoulos, he just couldn't knock the header down.
11:44A very deep ball, Matalopoulos, I tell you what, looks like a bit of an awkward land, he gets right up above Killian Philipson in.
11:57Land in quite awkwardly, I don't think it was a foul, I think Australian got up really well early as well, up above the Irishman.
12:10Robinson was my own boss for three seasons, led the club to the final of this competition and the Scottish Cup in 2017-18,
12:19losing both to Celtic.
12:22Saeed, just teasing ball in, and there were no takers.
12:38Elijah just put that into such a dangerous position, this time it's Faddinger.
12:43Just choked that a little bit, but I tell you what, Matalopoulos started so brightly,
12:48and then there's a perfect example of the other side of the game which said Mirren will be looking to exploit.
12:54This is Mandron, and Phillips, and out to Declan John, Bacchus, John again.
13:08Freckleton, it's a dangerous ball into the middle and they do pack that box with lofty figures where they do work the ball out wide.
13:16So this is for me the intriguing element of the game between the two sides, the contrast and the styles as well.
13:25Mirren are very comfortable and they're happy, they don't feel the pressure when they're having to defend and make themselves difficult to break down.
13:34as part of their make-up.
13:38And it really puts the emphasis on the opposition to not panic themselves when they've not been able to break them down.
13:45Keep playing their game.
13:47Tying in from Keanu Bacchus, it just wouldn't quite stick for Cillian Phillips.
13:51Well, and you know, history suggests that it is effective because three top six finishes in a row,
13:58Steven Robinson's taking the club back to European football.
14:03Longolo, asking Stamphalopoulos to run the channel.
14:22And drifted out of play.
14:24The last couple of games for Motherwell have been pretty important because you can just get a sense that there was starting to become a bit of a narrative of not being able to see games out, not being able to win.
14:39And the late winner against Livingston really, you can get a sense, has started the confidence to flood back through Motherwell.
14:48Mandrunk asked to run but Khatrumbus was able to match him for pace.
14:54And towards...
14:55And towards...
14:56And towards...
14:57And towards...
14:58And towards...
14:59And towards...
15:00And towards...
15:01And towards...
15:02And towards...
15:03And towards...
15:04And towards...
15:05And towards...
15:22And it was just Tim Stavros-Frankleton now,
15:27I'm sure that he had no time on the ball.
15:35It really has been an insistence, a commitment to Motherwell's style of play,
15:40and at times it has cost them.
15:44Trying to play out from the back and getting caught.
15:52As Jadon Richardson looks to test Longolo for pace,
15:56that's a good race between the pair.
15:59That's the man signed from Birmingham City that wins that battle.
16:04Certainly put the afterburners on,
16:06you know he's from pretty much a standing start,
16:09whereas Richardson was on his bike already.
16:12Longolo doing really well.
16:15One side, well measured out too, Katrumbis.
16:31What? Katrumbis forward,
16:33a bit of space here for Matsua Nise coming across his Gogic.
16:37That was important from Gogic,
16:42because you could just see up here in the ganchu,
16:44that space was beginning to open up,
16:46and Matsua Nisi, he's got good pace.
16:49Had he not been able to shift across, he was in.
16:52Stamatlopoulos might be in, looking to turn.
16:55And it was Fraser who managed to shuffle across, make the challenge.
17:00Richardson is looking to stretch for that one.
17:07Lundaloo, good turn from him.
17:11Space on the left-hand side for Declan John.
17:14Lundaloo and Mandron in the middle,
17:17being joined by Phillips too.
17:20What comes in from Katrumbis?
17:24Good attack, isn't it? Lundaloo does brilliantly.
17:27Ball comes up to him, not only does he just hold it up and link the game,
17:31he's taking his first touch away from two of the defenders,
17:36opened it up perfectly for Declan John over on the far side,
17:40forcing Mullerwell into a quick retreat,
17:44having to get the block in and stopping the ball coming into the box.
17:48Still a bombardment of...
17:50..falls into that Motherwell box, but...
17:55..is dealt with.
17:57What?
17:58And looking for that switch of the play out to Katrumbis.
18:01Outstanding, it really is.
18:03Elliott Watt, he's been one of the standout players in the league for me.
18:08You know, how often do you see a midfielder picking the ball up there
18:11and just rolling it back to a centre-half?
18:13He's playing with loads of confidence,
18:17but clearly, the way that Motherwell has set up, it suits him so well.
18:21in the league for me
18:22how often do you see a midfielder
18:25picking the ball up there and just rolling it back to a centre half
18:28he's playing with loads
18:30of confidence
18:30but clearly the way that Motherwell
18:34has set up it suits him so well
18:35he's got a manager that clearly believes
18:38in him and is filling him full of confidence
18:40and his performances are
18:42thoroughly warranting
18:44that belief from his manager as well
18:46well that's the
18:47one area of the team that doesn't
18:49get switched all that much is
18:51Faddinger and Watt
18:53as the two holders in the midfield
18:56and the strength and depth
19:06you know particularly in there
19:08obviously
19:09Andy Halliday experience
19:11Calum Slattery who you probably want to play
19:14just a little bit further forward but
19:15I tell you Slattery for me is a top class player as well
19:18you've got Regan Charles Cook
19:20on the bench as well
19:21Stephen Welsh
19:22not starting today
19:25so in a short space of time
19:28he's put together a strong team
19:30Androm wins the header
19:32he's challenging for it
19:35there's Fraser
19:40there's Fraser
19:45Fraser forward again he was the cup winner this time with Ross County
19:50he's also the only survivor from the semi-final against Livingston
19:53back in 2020-21,
19:57went to two semi-finals and the fans were unable to be a part of it
20:04here at Hamden Park, those games played behind closed doors.
20:14Oh well, we're at this stage last season against Rangers.
20:18Didn't take the lead through Andy Halliday, but Dessers and Dairami
20:27saw Rangers through to the final, and Celtic could eventually lift the trophy.
20:48You know, to be able to retain the possession as well as Motherwell do, it takes a lot of hard work off the ball.
21:04Teammates making angles and constantly showing for the ball.
21:08Really good movement, you know, they're not just a simple straightforward 4-2-3-1.
21:12You look at the moment, Saeed's in the centre circle there.
21:15He's playing off the left-hand side.
21:17You've got Longolo giving you real width and high up on the left, coming from full-back.
21:22There's good movement and combinations in link-up play right across this team.
21:33Red by Gogic, waited for his moment, then pounce now.
21:36Blue glute.
21:38A chase with Gordon.
21:40.
21:44.
21:47.
21:49.
22:21Challenge made and the throw-in will come a corner as it comes off Katrumbas last.
22:28I'll tell you what, the union of Johnny Katrumbas there running the risk,
22:38no need for him to be so forceful.
22:51Such is the threat of Samir in these situations.
22:58Declan John to send this one in, left-footed, right on top of the goalkeeper who handles it well.
23:19Declan John to form again. Longalow.
23:26Declan John to form again. Longalow. Pressure on Callum Ward.
23:48Safeway out to Gordon. Katrumbas.
23:55Just trying to feed that ball in behind.
24:01Faddinger. Saeed. Maswanise.
24:09Just, he's done well. Pulled back and the strike will just go wide from Toremba Maswanise.
24:19No, it's just an injection of pace into the game there, just running him behind.
24:24Gets a little bit fortunate but then he's got great awareness to pick out Maswanise.
24:29I just wonder, as soon as he takes that touch Maswanise,
24:32I think Stamitalopoulos, rather than standing static where he is,
24:36he should maybe just be trying to make that run in between the posts.
24:40I don't think it's a strike from Maswanise.
24:43I do think he's just looking to fizz it across the face of the goal.
24:46Some really interesting games coming up on Premier Sports in the Premiership.
24:51We are off to Paisley.
24:53Next weekend, Samirin against Hibbs, that's on Saturday from 5.15.
24:58And it's Kilmarnock against Dundee United at the end of the month,
25:0129th of November before Tanadice.
25:05Dundee United face Rangers Wednesday, the 3rd of December.
25:11I do remember the Scottish Football Social Club every Monday from 6 o'clock on X on YouTube.
25:24Saeed straight to the winger,
25:26frees it away and up towards Mandron, it's important that he holds those in
25:31and draws a very helpful free-kick for Samirin.
25:36And they go quickly, and space down the left-hand side.
25:41John...
25:43Well, they will get the numbers back and they're furious with Don Robertson.
25:47I can see a great deal in the challenge to begin with, but...
26:01I don't understand Motherwell's annoyance there, because I'm not sure the ball was static.
26:10When Alex Goggins is playing it, good invented play from St Mirren to play the quick one.
26:16It was open, but the ball was still maybe moving.
26:19John's corner does go front post, gets the touch, and the ballion in!
26:28Samirin re-leads to Mikel Mandron!
26:34And they've had to absorb pressure.
26:41The set play and Samirin pounce!
26:47Mandron's moment at Hampden Park!
26:51And the Buddies lead 1-0.
26:56It's not even a good corner, let's be honest, but St Mirren are bright.
27:00So bright.
27:01Goggins making that run at the near post.
27:03I think he does get the initial touch.
27:05And it's a smart finish from Mandron.
27:07He's the most alert.
27:09Swings.
27:10Bangs it in the back of the net there.
27:14That's a really good finish, but...
27:16Obviously Motherwell are not best pleased.
27:19Comes from this free-kick.
27:20I'm not sure there was a great deal in that to begin with, but...
27:24This is where they're not pleased.
27:27That ball's still moving, Rory.
27:29I've got to say, no wonder Motherwell are not pleased with that.
27:33That free-kick, that should have been pulled back.
27:36And obviously the resulting corner, St Mirren get the goal from it.
27:41But there's no way, for me, looking at those replays,
27:45the ball's been thrown down by one of the Motherwell players.
27:48Goggins takes one touch.
27:50The ball's still...
27:51He's not put his foot on top of it.
27:53He's not put his hand on and stopped it.
27:55The ball's still rolling.
27:56And to take the quick free-kick, which I think is good, is inventive.
28:00But to do that, there has to be a definitive stopping of the ball.
28:05And that, to me, wasn't the case there.
28:07But they're 1-0 down and Motherwell have got to put that out of their minds.
28:11Well, Mikel Mandron's 100th appearance for St Mirren,
28:19he scores his 26th goal against his old club,
28:22remember he had a six-month spell with Motherwell.
28:24He scored three times in 11 games.
28:26Fraser had to sprint to catch up with that.
28:38George goes long, Mandron again the target,
28:41Lindeloup with the knockdown to him.
28:43And then closed down, having Longeloup possession will come up to Stamatlopoulos.
28:53Acres of space in the centre of the park for Motherwell's number nine,
28:56he's going to take this on, Stamatlopoulos, plenty behind it,
28:59and Shemal George taking no chances, Motherwell have a corner of their own.
29:04Well, it's good positive play from the striker.
29:07I tell you what, it's a nice strike there from Stamatlopoulos,
29:12he's plenty behind it.
29:14Shemal George is comfortably across, got his body behind it.
29:19Behind for the corner kick, but Ted...
29:22Motherwell, as I said, they've got to put the disappointment
29:27of that goal behind them and just settle back in.
29:34They've loved to hit back straight away.
29:37It's a deep one towards the back post, will come off Gordon Last.
29:52I don't see a great deal, here's a better picture of the ball.
29:56Ah, it's moving, 100% it's moving.
30:00One, I think it's a pretty soft free kick.
30:03The ball's still moving when he takes it.
30:05But it's a smart finish, no doubt about that.
30:08You can see how excited Stephen Robson is with that.
30:11No wonder his side have had to just soak up a little bit of pressure from Motherwell.
30:15But they've got themselves in front, and they're a pretty tough nut to crack when they do get in front.
30:24Richardson up to Lundaloo.
30:27Long below him again.
30:33Or able to get it back.
30:36You know, the great irony in all of this, Rory, is that, you know, obviously, had...
30:42Sorry, St Mirren just gone up and scored straight from it with Declan John.
30:46It would have been looked at, reviewed, and it probably would have been disallowed.
30:50But because it goes out for a corner, the game's starting from that position and they're not looking back.
30:56You know, I'm a big proponent of not trying to find reasons to cut and chop goals off.
31:03But equally, something as pretty blatant as that.
31:06I think that was pretty poor from the officials when they didn't pick up on that.
31:13Freckleton, there's a doubt for this game, came off against Arx.
31:19Richardson, back from suspension along with Gogic.
31:23Two of them seen red in recent weeks.
31:46Gordon gives it straight to Mandrone, and the goalkeeper is well out of his goal.
31:51Well, that's where the high-risk approach comes with Motherwell, but to be honest,
31:56that's a pass that should have never gone to Michael Mandrone.
32:00I mean, that's...
32:03For me, that's got nothing to do with the way and the style of football.
32:07It's just an extremely poor decision from Liam Gordon.
32:14And that's what he said.
32:16Let God get to another Motherwell corner.
32:19He wasn't under any real pressure and he's just played it, as he said, straight to the striker.
32:24The goalkeeper, Callum Ward, obviously playing quite far off his line.
32:28And that's a chance, it's a real chance. In fact, there's a glare and mystery.
32:32Is that a rush of blood to the head from Mandrone? He got a lot behind it.
32:37It's a rush of blood to the head from both.
32:39Liam Gordon giving the ball away and then...
32:42Mandrone, his eyes lighten up thinking he's on course to get a second.
32:46And the one blow, it's a short to Masuunise.
33:02Masuunise's ball in, I think it took a touch on its way, out comes George.
33:06And a contact that's gone on.
33:16He just takes the deflection, pushes it towards the goalkeeper.
33:22He looks fine there.
33:33Over 8,000 from each club.
33:39He took its four this game.
33:40It's the short 11-mile journey from Paisley, the far the happier.
33:56Pick out from Plot again up to Just.
33:58Down in the middle of the park.
34:09Miguel Freckleton.
34:15Nice pass from Watt.
34:17And then, you can see,
34:19the guys are just looking to play the ball in behind.
34:23And he hits it straight into Freckleton's face.
34:27It would have been a sore one for him.
34:28The right decision just to stop the game.
34:34Make sure that Miguel Freckleton's okay.
34:38Give him time to recover here because he wasn't far away and he took it flush.
34:43That's Miguel Mandron's goal and his 100th appearance that separates the sides.
35:00And we talked about the set plays being a big thing for Samirin.
35:04And he's come up trump for them.
35:06I'm sure, I mean, the more I'm looking at it, I'm trying to convince myself.
35:12Is it meant? I just don't think so.
35:14I think it's, he's not caught it particularly well.
35:16Definitely Gogic is intended to make that run across the face.
35:21And he just steps over it.
35:23Slight touch.
35:25And Mandron, it drops perfectly for him.
35:27It's a good first touch and an even better second.
35:30But from Motherwell's perspective, it's a bit scrappy.
35:34They'll be extremely disappointed and then just to rub salt into the wound.
35:39Pretty sure most of the players and the coaching staff will be looking at that incident that leads up to the corner kicking.
35:47And they probably are aware that it should have been pulled back.
35:53They saved us the best this season for the Premier Sports Cup.
35:57That's seven goals, six of which have come in this competition.
36:00A hat-trick in the group stages against Annen.
36:04He scored in the quarter-final against Killy.
36:07Three penalties that Samirin have required to get to this stage in the knockouts.
36:13Parts and Kilmarnock.
36:18It's just to Saeed now.
36:22And across by Mas Munisi.
36:25Straight forward for Shemal George.
36:27But that was a brilliant move from start to the final ball.
36:31That was it, they've worked in a great position.
36:33Mas Munisi has put a few tasty balls into the box already,
36:37but on that occasion he didn't manage it.
36:43Again goes down, Ludlou giving away the free kick.
36:49Oh, well, quickly back on with things.
36:51Faddinger always looking for that ball out to Katrumbis.
36:55Mas Munisi shows.
37:00Freckleton closing off his roots.
37:03He just needed Mas Munisi wider.
37:06You know, he picked the ball, he needed him in that wider position to begin with.
37:12And the opportunity for Elijah just.
37:17Faddinger.
37:21Katrumbis.
37:23Just again.
37:25Gogets on the stretch before that could get to Mas Munisi.
37:27Another block from the Cypriot.
37:28It will be, it's another free kick and Phillips felt that one.
37:38They just, from work, does it just look like the two of them were going in for it there?
37:44Yeah, it's a sore one.
37:45It's not a free kick.
37:46I mean.
37:47Stamatolopoulos wins the ball.
37:48And his foot's static.
37:49And Killian Phillips comes in to him.
37:50The ball's there to be one bit.
37:51That's not a free kick.
37:52Killian Phillips huffs his leg because he's got socks down at his ankles.
37:54And he's no got any, well, he's got toothpicks for shin pads.
37:55That's why he huffs his leg.
37:56That's why he huffs his leg.
37:57L who's just stripped it out of play.
37:59For example, they don't hang about.
38:01That's a lovely touch from Saeed.
38:03Yeah, he's now a close help.
38:04And his foot's static.
38:06And Killian Phillips comes in to him.
38:08The ball's there to be one bit.
38:10That's not a free kick.
38:12That's not a free kick.
38:14Killian Phillips helps huffs his leg.
38:16Killian Phillips huffs his leg because he's got socks down at his ankles and he's no got any, well, he's got toothpicks for shin pads.
38:22That's why he huffs his leg.
38:25Said then showed too much of it to Fraser.
38:55What? Gordon. Now looks long. Maswanise on the run.
39:10Freckleton in close attendance. Maswanise.
39:15There's a real handful though.
39:19Paddinger. Elliot Watt. It's well read by Freckleton.
39:25Needed to come out the other side Watt. Everything was a little bit congested over there.
39:32Richardson's a good find in Phillips.
39:49Goals in the league that will be submitted to problems scoring just eight.
40:11Watt will double that tally with 16.
40:16Marks and Dundee and Elliot Moore.
40:20O'Hara welcomes Declan John forward.
40:25Looks early for Mandrawn.
40:27Positioned is Liam Gordon.
40:30Typically pitch.
40:39Go poorly.
40:46Goginch.
40:48To Fraser.
40:51Phillips.
40:52Leser long, and Richardson if he's beaten the offside trap is a real chance.
40:55these are long and richardson if he's beaten the offside trap has a real chance to put in
41:00mandron here who stretches but callum ward has it at the second attempt well it's a huge
41:07opportunity isn't it i've got to be honest i thought richardson was offside but flag didn't go up
41:14now saeed again good footwork and looks to the back post for
41:19it that's when he say well back and now o'hara to freckleton it's starting to take a real
41:27pattern here where samirin are getting more space after motherwell have attacked it's becoming a
41:34lot more frequent andron trying to force that one through lundaloo what a finish dan lundaloo
41:43samirin leads by two goals to nil
41:52the buddies bouncing at hampton park and it's a wonder strike from dan lundaloo
42:02what a strike absolute take a bow there is no way that carl ward is stopping that smashed it at the
42:10back of the neck deflects into his path he's got no other thought in his mind other than
42:15he's spinning and having a shot on goal he knows exactly where he is where the corner is
42:22that's a fantastic strike from lundaloo isn't it it doesn't even look up
42:29it's the pace and the accuracy it's past the goalkeeper before he can do anything about it
42:34five minutes before halftime submit and two up
42:45just you know as i said just moments before it you could just get a sense of
42:49the game was becoming a little bit more stretched it wasn't as much motherwell in control and once
42:56st mirren were getting the ball there was just more spaces for them
43:04down goes mass when he say that will be a goal kick and
43:07while the samirin fans over on that side are really enjoying themselves
43:11well dan lundaloo has just forced his way into this samirin side he's scored three in his last three
43:29starting the last four
43:44challenge comes in for him
43:46it's
44:02phillips
44:05a laughter's there between phillips and saeed
44:08perhaps grab the side of his head with a little bit too much force
44:31gogage straight over just to try and calm him down
44:37i can see the motherwell support are not best pleased
44:43no wonder staying 2-0 deficit at half time against st mirren it's
44:49becomes a very very difficult task to get yourself back into
44:56they've got a lot of faith in their new manager and it's going to ask you
45:01he's got a huge task in the dressing room at half time
45:06it's richardson long below will get there first
45:11i mean the issue for motherwell is that
45:14as much as they've controlled possession they've not really been able to open up
45:17st mirren as often as they would have liked and they've not
45:20hurt them whereas st mirren their game plans worked a treat granted i think the first goal as we've already
45:28spoken about came from a free kick that probably should be pulled back but
45:32as the game is worn on it's gone the way that st mirren would have wanted it to become
45:36and more open they're able to counter and get space and get their front men in the game
45:40just needed a little bit more on that to feed it into the path of maswanisi
45:52don't get choose directing operations at the heart of that back three for st mirren
46:03you
46:10you
46:20you
46:21you
46:22you
46:24you
46:26you
46:28you
46:30you
46:32Katoombis
46:56Won't catch that, nothing going by the world's way
47:02They lost two of their 16 games this season, both of them last month
47:12The way it's Celtic then, kind of a surprise in the home game against Falkirk
47:17Both by a single goal, this is a situation that they don't find themselves in very often
47:25In fact it's quite often the other way round when Motherwell have been the team unable to see games out
47:30Dropped 12 points from winning positions in the league
47:42Going to flip that on it's head now
47:44Ginaway, Fraser, runs it Stamatolopoulos
47:50Just on balance and then bundled over by Bacchus
47:56It's a winless run themselves
48:10They've not lost three in a row before that two-all draw with Hearts on Wednesday night
48:18Again
48:26Just wonder whether Jens Bertolasco will be wondering and thinking about
48:30potentially making subs at half time
48:32Calms Lattery's on the bench is somebody for me that
48:36Got an eye for a pass in the final third, got an eye for a goal as well
48:42Saeed out to Katrumbas
48:48It's the lifted ball in that makes George favourite
48:52It's a poor ball from Katrumbas
48:54You can see Mats Wenisi, he's down on his haunches
48:56His arms outstretched
48:58See when this ball goes over
49:00They've got to overload, they're two of you
49:02One out there and Katrumbas just holds his position
49:04Sorry, Mats Wenisi holds his position
49:06Katrumbas just needs to be cutting that back for him
49:10Abouhara loses out to Elijah Just
49:16Freckleton scones off his forehead
49:22He's done well here, Miguel Freckleton now looks early
49:28Lundaloo, it's over the top of him, Richardson will be able to collect here though
49:32Another chance to load this one into the box, Richardson cuts in
49:36He's got it on his left and he never looked comfortable, did he?
49:39It opened up so nicely for him
49:43Well it was great play from Freckleton to begin with
49:47Just wondered when he played the ball originally
49:49Whether Lundaloo was going to be able to get on it
49:51Comes to Richardson, he cuts inside really well
49:55I think he summed it up, never looked overly confident or comfortable on that left foot
50:01He's under on, the mother will changes
50:09What happened before the start of the second half, but Stephen Welch has been on a fairly extensive warm up
50:17Faddinger
50:27Elijah Just hasn't really been able to impose himself in the game, he's not been able to get on it
50:31It's a great ball from Watt though
50:33It's a great ball from Watt though
50:35Kontrumbis
50:39Back for Saeed now
50:41Maswanise
50:43Again across comes Gogic
50:45He's been all action
50:47Alex Gogic
50:49He's loving the occasion
50:51Yeah he's all action
50:53But I tell you there's few better than Alex Gogic in terms of
50:57Just reading the game
50:59When he's in that position
51:01Senses danger really well
51:05More often than not
51:07Slides across and snuffs it out
51:09Well it's Steven Robinson's front two
51:21Who have done the damage at the national stadium
51:24Mikkel Mandron with the opener
51:27Corner kick that he flashed in before
51:30A glorious strike from Dan Lundaloo
51:33Three in three games
51:35The man signed from Bolton
51:39Motherwell have it all to do in the second half
51:43Because at the break at Hampden Park
51:45It is Motherwell 0
51:46Samirin two
