अपने विवादित बयान के लिए चर्चा में रहने वाले हरिभूषण ठाकुर बचौल मधुबनी जिले की बिस्फी विधानसभा सीट से विधायक हैं। पहली बार 2005 के फरवरी और अक्टूबर दोनों चुनाव में निर्दलीय जीते बचौल भारतीय जनता पार्टी के टिकट पर पहली बार 2020 में जीते। 2005 के दोनों चुनाव में यह सीट जेडीयू लड़ी थी। हिन्दू-मुसलमान वाले भड़काऊ बयान देकर खबरों में रहने वाले बचौल ने फरवरी 2022 में मुसलमानों का वोटिंग अधिकार छीनने वाला बयान देकर एनडीए में खलबली मचा दी थी...इस बार भी बीजेपी ने उन्हें बिस्फी विधनसभा से अपने प्रत्याशी बनाया...जहां उन्हों ने एक बार फिर सनातन की बात करते हुए जीत का दवा किया है
Haribhushan Thakur Bachaul, who is in the news for his controversial statements, is the MLA from the Bisfi assembly seat in Madhubani district. Bachaul, who first won as an independent in both the February and October 2005 elections, won for the first time in 2020 on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. The JDU contested this seat in both 2005 elections. Bachaul, who remains in the news for his inflammatory statements on Hindu-Muslim issues, had created a stir in the NDA in February 2022 by making a statement about taking away the voting rights of Muslims.
