00:00This is Project Runway.
00:18Anything can happen.
00:20So I wake up this morning, my Emily's gone.
00:23Life goes on, it's a competition, and somebody had to go home.
00:27I do not want it to be me, so I have to put my foot into whatever challenge is coming up and win.
00:33Winning a challenge and being understood by people who matter in fashion feels really, really good.
00:41And the fact that I have immunity, it's a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.
00:50All right, guys, let's get this mess over with.
00:57Hello.
00:58Hi.
00:59Before we talk about your next challenge, let's bring out the winning and losing designers models.
01:11Models, this is a competition for you too.
01:25The model paired with the winning designer will get a fashion spread in our magazine.
01:30Kenley, you are the winner of the last challenge, so you have the option of swapping models with a fellow designer.
01:37Your model was Shannon, and if you decide to stay with her, Leslie will be out.
01:43If you decide to swap, I will bring out all the models for you to choose from.
01:48What do you want to do?
01:49I'm going to stay with Shannon.
01:50It's the wrong way.
01:52That means Leslie, you're out.
01:53I'm sorry.
01:54Okay, thank you.
01:55Thanks.
01:56Thanks.
01:57Thanks.
01:58Thanks.
01:59Okay, Tim is waiting for you downstairs to take you on a little field trip where you will
02:17find out about your next challenge.
02:20Okay, get going, and I'll see you on the runway.
02:23Bye.
02:24You know, I don't really have any idea where we're going to be going.
02:27I just really hope it has nothing to do with female wrestlers.
02:33All right, designers.
02:34You ready for your field trip?
02:35Yeah.
02:36Yeah.
02:37Follow me.
02:43I'm excited.
02:44We have absolutely no idea where we're going with Tim.
02:47There's a lot of speculation going on.
02:49We're going to the Boogie Down Bronx.
02:51This is a hip hop challenge.
02:52Yeah.
02:53That would be awesome.
02:54Suede loves that.
02:56We pass the hospital and I get really, really nervous because the last thing I want to design
03:02is nurses' uniforms or scrubs, although I could design a good straight jacket.
03:06How often do you need to tan?
03:08I usually do it, I would like to do it every other day.
03:11That's a huge amount of time every other day.
03:13You know, like other people like go to the gym.
03:15Gotta go tanning.
03:16I just wanna go tanning.
03:17Please.
03:18We turn the corner and we see the armory track and field center.
03:32I'm getting nervous and excited at the same time because it seems like it's going to
03:37be a really different kind of challenge.
03:39Oh my God.
03:40This place is ginormous.
03:41There was this speed racer racing all around the ring.
03:46Who is this person skating around a track?
03:47Wow.
03:48Wow.
03:49Hi.
03:50Hi.
03:51Oh my gosh.
03:52It's Apollo.
03:53Oh my gosh.
03:54It's Apollo.
03:55It was Apollo.
03:56It's Apollo.
03:57It's Apollo.
03:58It's Apollo.
03:59There was this speed racer racing all around the ring.
04:02Who is this person skating around a track?
04:07person skating around a track
04:16wow
04:19oh my gosh it's apollo i was a fan of his from the winter olympic games the boy was hot he he
04:27he sold it designers i am thrilled to introduce u.s olympian apollo ono
04:31five-time medal winner two of them gold hi designers
04:37apollo do you want to tell the designers about their challenge sure
04:44we want to know what you do when given the chance to create the look for the u.s olympic team
04:49for the opening ceremonies of the summer games
04:53i've never watched the the opening ceremony for the olympic games at all i'm guessing somebody holds
04:58a flame and runs around a track field designers as you know there is both women's wear and
05:04men's wear in the opening ceremony but for the purposes of this challenge you will be designing
05:09women's wear only and apollo you've attended two opening ceremonies what are they like well it's
05:14basically you know the olympians version of the catwalk it's like unlike anything i've ever
05:19experienced in my life you walk in with honor you know you're representing your country it's something
05:23that is it's dear to my heart so designers this is a rare opportunity for you to consider how you
05:28would present the image of the united states to the rest of the world furthermore you are following
05:34in the footsteps of some very great names who've designed for their countries giorgio armani for
05:38italy and ralph warren who's designed the u.s look for the 2008 summer games the olympics are humongous
05:47so big thousands and millions and billions of people heck yeah i'm going for the gold
05:52so to help you with your creative development we've arranged for a special surprise apollo the
05:58armory is home to a fantastic museum that will give you a great sense of the history of the olympics
06:03and its fashion and you guys are going to have it all to yourselves all right you'll have half an
06:07hour to sketch afterwards we'll head directly to mood where you will each have a budget of 150
06:12dollars to shop and this isn't the last you'll see of apollo he's our guest judge for this challenge
06:17that's right paulo thank you so much thank you tim this is wonderful thank you good luck designers
06:22i'll see you guys in the runway let's go thank you oh lord this is scary to me this is right up my alley you
06:29have no idea
06:36i've watched the opening ceremony of summer olympics probably since i was 12. i think they're history
06:43making and it's about conveying to the rest of the world what the u.s is about for me this could not
06:50be a better opportunity to really show my sportswear background is this the opening ceremony no
06:58i'm very much into the olympics i've seen olympic games and they've worn suits they've worn jogging
07:04pants they've worn some of everything and i'm thinking classic americana sportswear look at this
07:10it's forming in fur fashion i know what to do now all right good i'm a true cave girl i like
07:18leather and i like fur i'm thinking bold progressive aerodynamic that's like gladiator
07:28i'm particularly inspired by a little jogging suit i want to take a different arrow and translate
07:35into modern times i am instantly drawn to this one image in particular of all these olympians and these
07:41these hats and these blazers so i was really kind of inspired to kind of interpret that for women
07:48how are you doing a little stumped as far as the ceremony goes i'm into high-end glamour this has
07:54nothing to do with what i'm really used to it's just all very confusing to me okay designers time's up
08:02let the fashion games begin we're packing up and heading off the moon
08:09go go
08:13let's take this as an option
08:16i'm gonna go with some leather some linen because i'm trying to be a little different
08:21from everybody else they're looking at me like you're gonna get kicked out with that leather but
08:25you know what don't worry about me worry about the plaid you're picking up okay that's perfect
08:32i know that i want to work with a plaid and i just wanted to stay with white and blue because it's just
08:39more tasteful to me you're using black why is it bad i'm not saying it's bad i'm just just
08:47inquiring you're using black i'm gonna use black and i'm gonna trim it with red white and blue i picked
08:52got a black stretch satin i was a little concerned with it but i can't help myself you know black is
09:00cool let's go with the yard this one
09:05that was mine what's that i had this one was this the one you had uh i don't know i was been asking
09:14him to grab stuff but i grabbed this and put it on the table i look over and keith has taken my fabric
09:20and has already cut from it i was like oh no you didn't i'm seeing signs of changes and people
09:29assist together to keep one eye open that's all i'm saying all right designers follow me back to
09:34parsons thank you coming up on project runway it looks like a goth nightclub there's a lot of bikers
09:43in this country that watch the olympics
09:53let the fashion games begin
10:00all right designers you have until 1am tonight and i want you to know that the winner of this challenge
10:07will have immunity all right so that's a big incentive a big motivator but i want all of you
10:14to pull the stops out for this okay all right thank you thank you we have to design these outfits for
10:25the opening ceremony of the olympic games so we're talking about america and how it's going
10:31to be portrayed in the world so this is serious business here no joke anybody know how to double
10:43judge i never did school sports but i oh wait i did what'd you do stella i took dance for like four
10:51years modern i hate to admit it but i was a cheerleader but it was only because i was a gymnast and a
10:58dancer i played football i knew right away that i was going to do a score a score is a skirt short
11:05front is a skirt essentially in the back is shorts i definitely have an affinity to athletes my two
11:11daughters play softball and so i really want to win this for them see the thing is right after freshman
11:16year everybody grew and i couldn't play anymore that's when i started sewing from football to sewing
11:24i hear you man been there i play putt putt i'm not really into anything with sports to be honest i went
11:31to boarding school and i just think that uniforms make everyone look a bit generic i am catering towards
11:38a cocktail more evening more fantasy a look from the 40s and modernize it in tanning i'm an olympic
11:47athlete you said in tanning stop it only goes to bronze medal i'm beginning to like get paler and
11:57paler and weaker and weaker and probably by the end of the season i'm gonna be like frail white you're
12:04sick did you see the tanning booth today when we're passing by yeah i did did you cry i teared up a little
12:12bit i think he may be becoming tanorexic luckily he's got that amazingly blonde highlighted hair
12:19that's keeping him alive but i'd still really love to see him with some bronzer or something i was like oh
12:24my gosh look how pretty it is
12:38what are you making jacket pants i know instantly that i wanted to do some kind of corset bustier
12:45modernize the past and create something really really hot for the present and i'm keeping it
12:50simple something that america can be proud of a pant skirt vest and jacket pants vest shirt and jacket
12:57matching bra panty set wow i am shocked by how many pieces terry has just cranked out i think she's got
13:07a sweatshop hidden under her table or something i was kind of torn as to which direction i should go the
13:14sporty track suit style or you know more of my style which you know is girly and feminine so i decided
13:21to think true to my style and my design is three pieces it's a skirt a little camisole and a sweater
13:29jacket so stella why are you making your garment all black because it's uh we're going through a depression
13:39no because it's a space age and it's modern i knew the black would be a risk but i didn't want to do
13:46anything soft looking an american athlete is a powerhouse they're gladiators they train a whole
13:52lifetime to get there and if they say anything about biker i'll be like there's a lot of bikers in this
13:57country that watch the olympics all right i don't think stella's design it has anything to do with
14:06the olympic team to me it looks like an outfit that one would wear to a goth nightclub
14:17as a young kid i always wanted to be a part of the olympics i was a competitive gymnast at a super
14:22young age and so i wanted something playful so i came up with a really cool idea pulling the silk with
14:28fleece let me put this on you let me say something yeah but i have definition in my body
14:41my workspace is right behind daniel and kenly and they're constantly laughing constantly
14:47making jokes and you get the sense that there really isn't any consideration for anybody else
14:51maybe if it's tacked down here no it won't help it's like okay just stop laughing just you know
15:02laugh done she's just all the time somebody get this girl a muzzle oh my god
15:12you don't want it to look too nursing or you know like all white i like the idea
15:27take a chance i've watched the olympics when all the different countries come out and i always pick
15:33up on the teams that were white it was just really pop
15:37make it work america to me is a place for second chances i was born in liberia west africa in a city
15:47called monrovia in 1990 there was a civil war in our country and we were actually in exile we had
15:54to leave the country or either stay and possibly be executed and as women be raped and tortured it's
16:00one of those things that the pain of something like that never goes away it's like an open wound
16:04america's home for me now and that's what america means to me a place where i have this chance to
16:10actually fulfill my dream a dream that i never gave up from high school a dream that my parents never
16:15let me give up or my friends or my husband and i believe this is my time
16:23coming up on project runway you re-threaded my machine it's a hump is he serious it's too much
16:29drama because there's too many queens around
16:39hi everybody just gonna walk around and see how you're doing okay joe hi how are you good how are
16:47you good talk to me um i liked the for lack of a better term the squirt because it's athletic and yet
16:54it's it's form-fitting and because by definition it says athletic the squirt does so that's kind
17:00of what i do i was gonna go um i had this idea of mixing the zippers um where you know i bought
17:07two different colors and i just i just mixed them actually this has some wit about us i like it
17:13thank you thank you do it okay thank you
17:15hi tim blaine talk to me i didn't want to do a dress or anything because the olympics you know
17:25i wanted to do something a little bit more literal so my inspiration what does that mean more literal
17:29well just kind of like athletic all right i mean it's looking a little sergeant pepper to me i don't
17:33even know if that is oh god youth sergeant pepper sergeant pepper's lonely hearts club band the beatles
17:41well that's the era tim with the cardigan no it's not the beatles didn't happen in the 30s i just
17:47don't do the beatles i mean i liked across the universe and it was all beatles but other people
17:52saying it so i mean maybe maybe i like the beatles but a bit more progressive and to the now
18:00sorry ringo rock and roll tim rock and roll holler at your boy holler at your boy
18:05how are you daniel i'm good talk to me what's the top like i've been going back and forth with that
18:15i was thinking about doing a bolero my only fear is that it's the more i look at it it starts looking
18:21like the same colors as like superman or wonder woman she is a kind of superman or wonder woman
18:26she's an olympian it's the united states presenting itself to the rest of the world
18:30so we don't look like a bunch of wallflowers but i'm looking at you right now and i'm seeing
18:36what i saw on you the last two challenges i feel like you begin to unravel don't let that happen to
18:40you okay okay daniel thank you thanks tim okay
18:47jerell hey how are you jerell i'm really good gonna do like a high waist pencil skirt out of the
18:54skirt hitting her so horizontal stripes yeah can i just tell you summer olympics these are women who
18:59are muscly okay and and i just think they're gonna be a little nervous about anything that
19:07makes them look like they're wider than they are that's true and also look at all the activity you
19:12have up here you know this could look very lucy ricardo which i don't think you want that's not
19:19what i'm going for i wasn't going to dye your hair red tomorrow trust me okay jerell thank you thank you
19:24so much work hard i will i will jennifer hi hi why this color i was going to kind of make the emblem
19:34and make it a jewelry piece you know the last stuff it was kind of well layers were wrong yeah and they
19:40said matron lane i have to tell you i looked at this jacket from across the room and i thought oh god
19:44it's looking at a matron like i'm seeing something that looks more junior okay and i'd just like you to
19:51wrap it up all right thanks thank you all right all right designers you have about a half an hour
20:01left tonight and make it work everybody i will see you in the morning all right thank you
20:09that's wonder woman without the bolero yeah don't do the bolero please kenley said that the dress
20:21was so beautiful on its own that it didn't need the bolero so i decided not to incorporate a jacket
20:27but you know daniel re-threaded my machine with red what you re-threaded my machine
20:39i didn't know it's your machine well it's like if you pay attention to where people are working
20:43no one was working here kenley was uh when i was here kenley was working i know but like people get
20:48in a groove and they start working on certain machines for the last three challenges i've used
20:54that machine but you know daniel's so much into daniel and it's all about daniel that
20:59didn't seem to be too concerned about that well there's plenty of empty machines and kenley was
21:04working on it last yeah well just pay a little bit more attention there's nothing to pay attention
21:08about yeah there is five minutes ago i was here i re-threaded it to white just pay a little bit more
21:14attention are you serious chump it's really annoying that joe comes out of nowhere arguing with me about
21:22using the machine he seems to want to take it to a passive aggressive and more vindictive place he's
21:28like freaking out like telling me to pay attention is he psychotic when i come in here how am i
21:33supposed to know that 10 minutes ago he was working on it people are crabby people are fighting over
21:37machines i mean it's totally wackadoodle is the drama over or will it continue i don't know i don't think so
21:44glad i missed it what a baby honestly you gotta say wah joe it's all about me me me me there's too much
21:55drama because there's too many queens around it's crazy as you can see we're back to high school
22:02and i just want to get to college
22:16jorrell wake up so waking up this morning i realized that one by one they all must fall everybody has to
22:25go home like me it's like the olympic relay race i pull them out and you put them away
22:36no i think your outfit has the potential for greatness no day of the runway show is ever stress-free
22:43whoever wins gets immunity and immunity is really important because you got a chance to up and not get
22:49fired for it while we're out here with the shoes let's turn that back the door i don't want nobody
22:55to go okay we got the same color blue i thought yours was a lot more blue mine looks purple at times
23:14and looks blue at times daniel's color it's probably going to turn out purple on the runway
23:19i don't know what the judges are going to say i'm a little bit worried for him
23:25good morning designers good morning i want you to know you have three hours exactly
23:30use this time extremely well okay i'm about to send in your models you will have an hour to send them
23:38to the presa may hair salon and the l'oreal paris makeup room all right i'm going to send in your models
23:43how's my peaches keep that coffee away from it gentle gentle ready because i know it's a little
23:55painful yeah i think it's great it's sporty i think the judges are looking for red white and blue i
24:04definitely have a sense that the garment has to read america because of my background in sportswear
24:09i'm very confident i think i'm going to win today it's killer yeah it's covered that's hot i'm
24:16feeling confident about this it's a whole hell of a lot of look i made a hat for god's sakes my first one
24:23durrell's garment is a bit titanic i mean it's definitely that period and the titanic drama his
24:30heart will go on maybe they're not looking for a dress you know what i mean maybe they're looking
24:37for a pantsuit i do think jennifer is in trouble not to select red anywhere i don't know if that's
24:43representing america i think we might be good go to my girl over there she does your head the way i like
24:49it
25:01i need red white and blue
25:06i think it looks good designers five minutes and we're all walking we need to be able to go go go
25:14all right let's get it on you our first zipper together it just seems like the entire room was
25:23from the 20s all the way up to like the 70s and the past is in the past i just rather stay in the
25:28future i live in 08 it's 08 designers models we're going down to the runway that's it there we go there we
25:38go i really like it where's your model coming up on project runway she almost looks silly she's from
25:49the republic of cocktail land hello hi hi welcome to the runway as you know in fashion one day you're in
26:04the next day you're out there are 13 of you now and after tonight there will be 12. for this challenge
26:11we asked you to create an outfit for the u.s olympic team to wear to the opening ceremony of the summer
26:18games we gave you a budget of 150 and one day to put it together okay let's meet the judges first we
26:27have top american designer michael kors hey guys hello next we have nina garcia editor at large for
26:35el magazine hi everyone hi and u.s olympian apollo ono one of the most stylish gold medalists ever thank
26:44you we will score your designs as they come down the runway one of you will be named the winner and one of
26:51you will be out let's start the show i definitely think this design reflects who i am as a designer
27:03i love structure pans all of detail on pans but still with a classic funky touch which is kato
27:14this garment's definitely got that dramatic effect that i like to give
27:18it's a beautiful beautiful skirt and it would be perfect for the olympic team
27:28i love it it's maybe not 110 percent relevant to the olympics but she looks fabulous
27:40as i watch my garment go down the runway it definitely stands out amongst the sea of retro inspired dresses
27:46i have a really good shot of winning
27:55i think that my garment fits the requirements of this challenge perfectly it's very patriotic
28:01it looks stunning on carolyn
28:07the look is classic america
28:10in the 40s i'm gonna definitely stand by my garment it's the chicest uniform they've ever seen
28:15i think my silhouette is really interesting i could have taken it a little bit more sporty but i think it
28:27turned out beautifully it's hot
28:30this outfit had to be slick and cool it represents the country in a badass way and yeah i'm digging it
28:48i felt really good about my garment because i felt like i not only created sportswear but i
28:53used a color palette which was a given red white and blue it's america it's the olympics
29:03i'm feeling good she is beautiful and the jacket was so well crafted i'm like usa usa
29:13when i see alex walking in my garment down the runway i feel that it represents america
29:23i'm definitely watching the judges faces it seems like they like it
29:31paulina just looks great i think it's a very modern take of an olympic look
29:35it looks like she could be walking for opening ceremony it just looks so awesome
29:47as my garment's walking down the runway it looks really cute it's fashion forward and it looks
29:53like me as a designer so i'm really happy with it
29:56we've scored your designs will the following designers please step forward sweet
30:08kelly
30:11leanne
30:13stella
30:16keith
30:19blaine
30:22kenley
30:27if i have called your name
30:30congratulations your scores have qualified you
30:34to move on to the next challenge you can leave the runway thank you
30:46the six remaining designers have the highest and the lowest scores
30:51one of you will be named the winner and one of you will be out
30:57let's bring out your models
31:07i would like to start with terry tell us about your design
31:11looking at the history of the olympics it was blazers blazers blazers i wanted to put a spin on it
31:17and to me this is like a very american kind of look i love the colors that you used
31:21and i thought it kind of just really popped and i think it would read well it looks very american
31:28and you know that's important kind of gives me a little bit of a kind of lauren hutton 70s vibe
31:33which i think is kind of great i say you know hurrah for american sportswear thank you
31:38i love the fact that you offered versatility if this were to represent the u.s olympic team
31:45they would look very smart and sharply dressed thank you thank you very much jennifer tell us about your olympic
31:53design we went to the track and field hall of fame and i noticed a small track suit from the 1920s
32:00so i used that as inspiration and i wanted to do separates so that they can go without the sweater
32:06if it's really hot which it probably will be i have to say i don't read this as modern i just don't
32:12see olympic and i don't see america in it at all when we walk we want to walk strong proud and tall
32:18and we want to feel confident what we're wearing i wasn't able to grasp that when i saw the design
32:24okay jennifer i think it is hard for you to separate the design challenge from your personal
32:32taste which is very feminine and very girly and this particular challenge which has more of an
32:38athletic inspiration this is missing it completely she almost looks silly
32:42joe well i wanted this garment to read summer olympics modern usa i mean no doubt about it
32:53so i um decided to use the usa in a few key parts where you would see it i'm wondering the zipper does
33:01the zipper come red and blue like that no you have to get it you did that i did i bought two zippers
33:06that is very clever personally i really liked it it shows off the woman's physique a lot of the women
33:10athletes and male athletes they have great bodies and there's no reason why they should be hiding
33:14behind anything i am very happy somebody thought about including some athletic details in this
33:20challenge i have to tell you that a skort was a good idea but you have obviously a problem with
33:27the length but overall i think it's really smart very very smart thank you
33:34daniel my look is very much inspired by the 1940s
33:37i wanted to modernize it so i looked at some of the more modern things that were going on and i
33:43noticed very vibrant colors and i kind of took that element infused the two together and i came
33:50up with this one i wasn't able to get anything olympic out of the outfit there's just nothing athletic
33:55about it i don't see this having any relevance with the challenge and how would we know this is
34:02the u.s olympic team with the striking blue and the striking red where is the blue this is blue there
34:08is no way this is blue is your shirt blue too that you have on under your jacket no this is purple
34:15guess what you match the same you guys match the color is very saturated and with all honesty it does
34:21change a bit in the light maybe if you played with the colors a little bit i did initially i started
34:27doing a jacket it just ended up looking like wonder woman listen i think the color is the
34:31least of your problems i don't know where she's from i don't know she's from the republic of cocktail
34:37land i wanted to go with like an all white look and then i wanted to use some leather but still be
34:47lightweight i decided to go with like a vest so that would be something that she could take off
34:52it's still very american i wanted it to stay in the 08. i leave the past in the past and i want
34:57to stay with where we are right now i like the lightweight leather i love the wide pants i think
35:03this team would be a very chic team thanks i think that america would be very very proud in what they
35:12have on i love how you use the vest the linen was very unique looked like it was very comfortable
35:18very functional and like you said very 08 i was a big fan thanks jorrell i was inspired by some of
35:27the images from like the 20s and i mean honestly i tried to keep it like sportswear of that time
35:33i made the hat to kind of you know shield from the sun i used like lightweight linen for the skirt
35:37it was like my interpretation it's definitely very unique i'm gonna take that as a compliment
35:41just because it might be the only one but for me it didn't scream anything about athletics i think a
35:46large group of people like that walking it would come from like a movie set more than anything i'm
35:51puzzled i don't know what to say it looks like mary had a little lamb
35:59what is american about her picture a strong powerful modern woman in that hat how uncomfortable
36:09as a look for something completely different i think you have great ideas it's creative it's
36:15interesting but i mean but it's you know in yiddish the word is mashugana i mean it's out there
36:24okay we've heard what you had to say you can leave the wrong way thank you
36:27let's start with the designers that we liked kato i think she really nailed it she took
36:45the red white and blue thing and made it very sophisticated and it still looked athletic like
36:50she said she wanted to go into what she thought would look good today and i liked it a lot i was
36:55really impressed terry i appreciated the simplicity of the outfit but it was very stylish at the same
37:04time you had the jacket you had the strapless top you you could do something with it when terry's look
37:09came out i wrote sportswear underlined triple exclamation point hooray for sportswear
37:15how did you like joe's outfit first thing i thought in my head i was like wow he only had
37:21how much time and he made it look almost easy he was the only one that really did something so
37:26literal i thought it was great it was very athletic let's move on to the ones that we didn't like
37:34it's almost like they heard the challenge in another language how about we start with jerrell
37:39i have to say there was thought in there there were fabrics that were mixed interestingly
37:45but it was a costume and not an olympic costume no it just looked like he had a really hard time
37:50grasping anything about athletics and it showed jennifer it just it was just kind of bland bland is
37:59not good the idea of a prim romantic athlete who's bashful about her body jennifer cannot separate her
38:08own taste from her design she can't get past herself and then there's daniel with his cocktail
38:17dress well if her sport is drinking it's a good dress i wasn't a fan of the colors the design i wonder
38:25what happens when you look around and you see everybody else working on something completely
38:29different are you worried that she's going to look like wonder woman an olympic athlete is as close to a
38:36superhero as we have so we made our decision okay let's bring them back up
38:54the six of you represent the best and the worst
38:57one of you will be named the winner and one of you will be out
39:09one of you will be named the winner and one of you will be out
39:15joe you're in great work you can leave the runway
39:19and now for the winner
39:29congratulations
39:33cutter
39:37you are the winner of this challenge you also will have immunity for the next challenge and you cannot
39:41be eliminated you can leave the runway congratulations good work
39:45i feel so good i'm so happy they loved my outfit it was this confirmation that i am good enough
39:57i'm worthy of this it's about freaking time
40:03terry good work you're in you can leave the runway thank you thank you
40:15so much
40:29daniel jennifer one of you will be out
40:39daniel you've missed this challenge completely we asked for an outfit to showcase an athlete
40:46and he gave us a sad purple cocktail dress
40:50jennifer you're stuck in the past as a designer and ultimately we're looking to the future
41:03jennifer you're out
41:06i don't think my garment seemed stuck in the past but i probably should have gone in the other direction
41:37i worked really hard and i'm not happy about being eliminated jennifer i do need to ask you to go
41:43upstairs and clean up your space okay we're gonna miss you terribly incredibly challenging thank you for
41:49that opportunity okay thank you bye jennifer
41:53i really would have liked to stay longer i think i brought a different point of view to project runway with my surrealism
42:03i'm just looking forward to the future and where my designs are going to take me
42:09thanks to you
