00:06Does Prince Harry plan to stay in the United States?
00:09During an appearance on the Wednesday, October 29th episode of the Hassan Minhaj Doesn't Know podcast,
00:16host Hassan Minhaj asked the Duke of Sussex, 41, flat out if he plans to become a U.S. citizen.
00:22There are no plans to be at this point, Harry replied, later adding that America has only become way more confusing.
00:29Since he and wife Meghan Markle moved to California in March 2020 after stepping back from their royal duties.
00:37However, he explained that he's embraced his new lifestyle, telling Minhaj, 40, that the most American thing he does now is ghost surfing.
00:47Minhaj also had the royal give listeners his best attempt at an American accent, asking Harry to repeat the sentence,
00:53I ordered breadsticks with ranch dressing at Applebee's.
00:57Questions of Harry's citizenship come amid rumors that King Charles III's son may one day move back home.
01:04As Starr previously reported, Harry, who shares son Archie, 6, and daughter Lilibet, 4, with the Duchess of Sussex, 44,
01:14saw his estranged father for the first time since February 2024, when they had high tea at Clarence House in London on September 10th.
01:22Days later, the father of two told The Guardian that he'd like to bring his children one day, noting,

01:32That same month, Hello! reported that Harry engaged in a conversation with English singer-songwriter Joss Stone
01:38and asked about her decision to move back to the U.K. after living in the States.
01:42Stone, 38, told the publication that Harry wondered how we were settling back in and was genuinely interested in our move home,
01:51adding,
01:52Maybe Harry will move back too.
01:54That would be nice.
01:56Harry's appearance on Minhaj's podcast isn't the first time he's been questioned about becoming an American citizen.
02:02In a February 2024 exclusive with Good Morning America, journalist Will Reeve asked if he was enjoying living in the U.S. and if he feels American.
02:12Do I feel American? Harry replied.
02:15Um, no. I don't know how I feel.
02:18Reeve then asked,
02:19Would you think about becoming a citizen?
02:22I have considered it.
02:24Yeah, Harry responded, noting that it's certainly not something that is a high priority for me right now.
