00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today we're talking about a very special motorcycle, the Pragerga ZS800.
00:09This exclusive retro-style machine not only brings a touch of nostalgia to the streets,
00:13but also impressively demonstrates how modern technology and classic design can merge.
00:20The traditional brand Pragerga, founded in Prague in 1907 and once known for cars,
00:25commercial vehicles, buses, aircraft and motorcycles, is returning with a spectacular model.
00:32The ZS800 is a homage to the Prague BD500 from 1928 and surprises with authentic retro details
00:39such as cooling fins on the air-cooled engine and drum brakes on both wheels.
00:45The motorcycle is powered by the air-cooled inline two-cylinder engine from the Kawasaki W800,
00:50which offers a displacement of exactly 773cc with a vertical shaft valve train and long stroke
00:56characteristics. The peak output is 50 hp at around 6,000 rpm. The maximum torque is 65 N at around
01:065,000 rpm. Prager largely dispenses with modern electronics or driver assistance systems on the
01:13ZS800. Instead, it relies on purist technology. There is no ABS, but a hydraulically operated drum
01:21brake with a diameter of 200m at the front as a double simplex and at the rear as a simplex.
01:28This not only ensures an authentic riding experience, but also remains road legal in
01:33the European Union thanks to exemptions for small series vehicles.
01:36The chassis of the ZS800 is made of high-quality chrome molybdenum steel tubing, as is the front
01:44swing arm, which is designed according to the principle of the dual-liver-like design by Hossack
01:49and Fior. Two short-milled aluminum levers and a centrally-mounted, fully adjustable oil in the
01:56shock strut with titanium spring, originally developed for mountain bikes, take care of the damping.
02:01At the rear, an air-pressure shock absorber from Ohlins under the Solo saddle ensures comfort.
02:07In addition, there are extremely light classic spoke wheels made of carbon, also custom-made.
02:13The bodywork also consistently focuses on lightweight construction.
02:17Aluminum, titanium, and carbon define the appearance.
02:21The milled aluminum tank forms a load-bearing structure in the frame,
02:25covered with a shapely carbon hood.
02:26The two-piece titanium exhaust system with 3D printed parts is Euro 5 compliant and equipped
02:34with catalytic converters. Together with the original 5-speed gearbox and the seawater disc
02:39oil bath clutch, this results in a harmonious, technically high-quality overall appearance.
02:45The dry weight is a sensational 142 kg. Fully fueled with 11-liter cylinders, it increases
02:53to just 58 kg. Perfectly balanced with 50% each on the front and rear wheels.
03:01Only 28 examples of the Prague ZS800 will be built and fewer than 20 were available before
03:06the end of 2024. Deliveries have been underway since mid-23.
03:11The price for this technical masterpiece is around 86,000 euros plus country-specific taxes
03:19or around 99,000 euros for the particularly lightweight carbon edition.
03:25After all, according to the manufacturer, 300 hours of milling work have gone into each motorcycle,
03:31manufactured with high-precision 5-axis CNC machines.
