00:30Dear Fans, we are all very excited to reveal the 3rd M model from BMW Motorrad.
00:38The all-new BMW M1000XR in its final series version.
00:44By far the fastest and lightest masterpiece in the crossover segment.
00:49The perfect combination of sporty long distance ability with thrilling high-end performance.
00:55It was in June when our prototype embarked on the fastest roadstrip covering over 1500 km from Berlin to the Isle of Man.
01:05It took a test lap on the historic DT mountain course with Peter Hickman, the world's fastest road racer.
01:12And to really tell you how the M1000XR performs, let's hear it from the fastest road racer in the world himself.
01:20Before I hand over to Peter, stay tuned, we have another surprise today.
01:31To be able to be one of the first riders to ride the MXR is a privilege for myself.
01:35It's an honor really to be asked by BMW to have done that.
01:38And to be able to actually ride it here at the TT in particular is an extra special part of this process.
01:45The MXR felt awesome around the TT as all the ingredients that you would expect from an XR motorcycle.
01:54But with the added excitement from that M badge on the side, but also more importantly, the M engine underneath you.
02:00It really amazed me how nice the bike was and easy the bike was to ride, but then had all that extra horsepower and fun whenever you wanted it.
02:08A big thank you from me also to Dr. Schramm, who has been putting the M into motorsport.
02:20But more importantly, keeping that history of BMW in motorsport is fantastic and helping the teams.
02:26Obviously, I was at the TT as a factory rider with the official BMW team and that's all down to him.
02:33With the new motorcycle, obviously there's lots and lots of people involved from a technical side and ideas and all the rest of it.
02:40So I just want to say a big thank you to everybody who's been involved in the MXR.
02:44Fantastic motorcycle and all the racers out in the world.
02:47If you want to get on something quite exciting, but nice and easy to ride on the road, the MXR is the perfect motorcycle.

03:12Thank you, Peter. As a responsible product manager and as a passionate motorsport fan, I'm happy to hear that.
03:18For starters, the standard list of equipment leaves nothing else left to be desired.
03:25Thanks to the double R four-cylinder engine with BMW shift cam technology, it delivers an incredible 201 horsepower together with a fully fueled weight of only 223 kilos.
03:40However, an additional weight saving of three kilos can be achieved with the optional M competition package.
03:45The highly exclusive M competition package includes lightweight carbon fiber wheels, lots of carbon fiber panels, milled footrests for rider ampillion and preparation for M GBS lap trigger.
04:01Not to forget the stunning black store metallic paint with M motorsport colors.
04:07Whereas the base model arrives in light white and M motorsport colors.
04:12Both M XR variants come equipped with purpose-built M winglets for high speed and cornering stability.
04:22The downforce effect becomes evident at 80 kilometers per hour.
04:26But to break it down into figures, a downforce of eight kilos is generated at 160 kilometers per hour and 12 kilos at 220 kilometers per hour.
04:37Meaning the front end always stays planted to the ground, all done in similar fashion through EMR and double R.
04:48Furthermore, the highly precise M brake, sporty optimized DTC suspension with adjustable steering temper, front wheel oriented geometries and pro riding modes with DTC shift also comes as standard.
05:03But there is more.
05:08The M XR features a shorter gearing between 4th and 6th as well as a shorter secondary gearing, which improves its sprint characteristics in true M fashion.
05:19The motorsport DNA is evident.
05:21By now you might be wondering, but what about the sibling, the S1000XR?
05:31Well, get ready for another surprise.
05:33May I present you the new BMW S1000XR?
05:57Kilometer after Kilometer, the XR has proven to be a great choice for riders that like to go to the long distance but without losing the thrilling performance of the 4-cylinder engine.
06:15Speaking of the 4-cylinder engine, we achieved an additional 5 horsepower, increasing the total output to 170 horsepower, all while fully complying with the latest Euro 5 Plus emission norms.
06:32You may directly notice the new side fairings and the new front end design.
06:38But the real change is at the back with the new redesigned seat, which allows for greater rider movement and a sportier overall look.
06:46Although the new optimized rear fairings with air intake signals high performance.
06:51Now added to the list of standard equipment, Headlight Pro with adaptive cornering lights, keyless ride and USB charging socket add more safety and comfort to every ride.
07:06For the first time, M carbon wheels are approved for the XR with a load capacity for two people plus luggage, with a significant increase in performance in terms of agility and weight.
07:19The new XR is available in a total of three stunning styles.
