01:50Firstly, there are an awful lot of stone chips here.

02:02So, it will be painted and parts of the front bumper will also be painted.
02:05Especially in this area where there are scratches.
02:10Well, I'm not interested in showing you a complete paint work preparation.

02:17We've done that before, because everyone does it a little differently.
02:21Some people do it like this, others pre-sand here and there, and there they don't sand.
02:25You need the grit, the sanding paste, and so on.
02:30I just want to show you the result.

02:38An extender sander, a polishing machine, not a sander, an extender polishing machine.
02:42I bought a new one.
02:44I'll show you the type, what kind it is.
02:49And then I'll show you a ceramic sealant, because when I'm done with the polish,
02:53I want to do that straight away, because that's a good idea.
02:55And then, of course, I'll also show you which polishing paste I use.

03:08So, I've shown you the car all around, for three minutes.
03:14And especially in the area around the doors, there are also holograms.
03:18As I said, you can see a lot of them with a smartphone.

03:29Yes, now I'll show you the materials I'm using and then it will be relatively quick.

03:35And here comes the equipment.
03:40We chose Minzerna products.
03:43Why?
03:44Because they are simply the best.
03:45This isn't meant to be the ultimate in hidden advertising, but we've already used them on three, four, five, six, seven cars.
03:52Not necessarily ourselves, we've had them on two vehicles ourselves, but yes, how should I put it, it's been done several times among friends and yes, the vehicles turned out simply outstanding in the end.
04:05They stood there as good as new, were excellently sealed, and deep scratches, I mean partial deep scratches, as long as they are in the clear coat, that's clear, disappear completely.
04:19And you can also assess how badly the vehicle is scratching.
04:27With the holograms I just showed you, the second option is definitely enough, or maybe the three.
04:34You just have to try it out.
04:35It's best to work your way up in reverse order.
04:40So that means going to the scratch, try level 3, see if it's gone.
04:45And if that doesn't work, then level 2 and level 1.
04:48There are also cloths for that.
04:50It's actually quite well done.
04:53One cloth should be enough for each vehicle.
04:55So, assuming the entire vehicle has to be polished with this option, the 1000 option, then a red cloth, and so on until the end, yes, ceiling.
05:12Um, then there are the corresponding pads for the polishing machine.
05:17For the polishing machine, I chose the Makita, the PO5000C.
05:22Uh, simply because of various online reviews.
05:25It actually won all of them by far.
05:30It was also by far the most expensive, but it's probably a device that you'll use for many, many years.
05:37So a one-time purchase and certainly the price are justified.
05:41And then there's the topic of ceramic coating.
05:43Well, I want to correct myself here, I don't want to do a direct ceramic coating.
05:48Uh, I don't think that's the case with this vehicle, I don't know.
05:51The car is washed a lot, is regularly maintained, is regularly waxed.
05:55Uh, ceramic coating isn't necessarily my first choice.
06:00Uh, in my opinion, that's more for vehicles where you say,
06:03okay, we don't go to the car wash regularly, it's not hand washed once a week, and so on and so forth.
06:09But that's definitely the case with this vehicle.
06:12It's washed regularly, so I forgo the ceramic sealant and at least have something similar from Montez.
06:21I hope I said that correctly.
06:25It's a sealant that you spray onto wet vehicle paint.
06:28So, that means you can pressure wash the car, for example, or use a two-bucket wash,
06:36but make sure you leave it wet at the end and then simply spray it onto the paint.
06:44Once you've sprayed it onto the wet surfaces,
06:46simply rinse it off with a slow, shallow jet of water and that's it.
06:50It's also a product that can be used regularly.
06:57In my opinion, if I wash the car once a week,
07:00I don't think there's anything wrong with doing it once a week.
07:03Otherwise, every two, every three, every four weeks,
07:07you can most easily see when the water no longer rubs off as well.

07:14As I said, I'm not going to go through the different steps,

08:05but I have to say I'm more than impressed with the result.

08:15The car is now in the garage under an LED lamp,

08:22So there are some streaks in that area.

08:27but the light is hitting it at full blast.

08:50I followed the instructions exactly,
08:53so these four coats,
08:54one, two, three with the polish,
08:56then the sealant,
08:57let it air off for half an hour,
08:59then polish it.

09:04the vehicle is still completely covered all over with polish residue and,
09:07yes, all of that has to be removed first.
09:11But I wanted to show you the result exactly as it looks when you've finished these four coats.

09:23this ceramic sealant.
09:28It's applied to the wet paint and that's actually ideal
09:30because I'm now going to clean the entire car with the pressure washer
09:33so that all the polish residue disappears.
