01:09So how are Australia being prepared for this tomorrow's match?
01:12Look, we've, you know, we've been here for sort of close on six, seven weeks now.
01:18So as far as preparing for tomorrow's match, we feel like we've played a lot of cricket.
01:22We've played some good cricket.
01:24You know, there's things that we've always needed to improve on.
01:27I think a good session here yesterday at DY to get a handle on the slightly different conditions.
01:32And again, tonight will be really beneficial for us.
01:34So as far as how we prepare, I think, you know, we've been preparing for a while after being here for,
01:41you know, the bilateral series and then into the World Cup.
01:43So I think now we're just really refining and getting used to the new conditions here at DY.

02:37Just in terms of Talia's role in the team, the numbers aren't there,
02:40but what she brings to the table and how crucial she is for your plans on the field, your thoughts?
02:45Yeah, she probably hasn't had the tournament or the numbers that she would like to turn out.
02:49I thought sort of leading into the tournament, she bowled really well in the bilateral series,
02:53had a really important partnership for us against New Zealand,
02:55and more recently has had to step into that captaincy role, which, you know, she does that so well.
03:01I think she's a really calm captain and she's had to do it a number of times.
03:05The players respond really well to her.
03:07So as far as disrupting the team, she manages just to step into that role really well and take the reins.
03:14Well, unfortunately, Elise has been injured, but, you know, is able to do that with ease.
03:20So she's sort of someone that keeps her really level head.
03:23And we know that, you know, she adds a really good foil for our batting order.
03:29Having her batting at number seven, I'm sure that, you know, she's still capable of winning games for us there.
03:35So we feel like that adds an excellent depth to our batting order, another option with the ball as well.
03:42How close are you to settling on the bowling attack?
03:45And do you think it'll look pretty similar to the one that played during the round stage against India?
03:50Yeah, I'm just trying to think back what that looked like.
03:53Yeah, I think there's still a few things to weigh up.
03:57Obviously, we trained here last night and again tonight.
03:59So we'll have a sit down at the end of training.
04:02Again, look at what we think our best team is, first of all, against India, but also given the conditions here.
04:09So we sort of won't make a firm decision on that until probably tomorrow.
04:13You've won 78 of the 87 games you played since the 2017 World Cup.
04:22How much of confidence are you going to draw from that particular stat?
04:26How is that confidence, sorry?
04:28Yeah, how much of confidence is that going to give you going into tomorrow's game?
04:31Oh, yeah.
04:32Obviously, you know, we do take some confidence out of the way we've been playing.
04:36But I certainly, you know, think that all the teams that are playing in the finals, to be fair, have also been playing some really good cricket to be in the position that they are in.
04:43And so we're certainly not on our own with being playing some good cricket.
04:47India have played some good cricket, as have the two teams that are fighting out the other semifinal today.
04:51So I sort of don't think that that counts for much in a semifinal.
04:55It's, you know, it's about who plays best on the day.
04:59And I think, you know, that could be anybody's game at the moment.

05:05My question is about Ash Gardner.
05:07So yesterday, she went number two on the ODI batter's list, and now she occupies the top three, I mean, across batting, bowling, and all-rounders list.
05:17You know, I mean, she's been obviously great at this tournament, and she's been one of your most consistent players.
05:22Can you tell us a bit about her work ethic and how she goes about her training and your conversations with her?
05:29Yeah, Ash has been, you know, unbelievable and so happy to see her have that role, particularly with the bat,
05:34where I think she's, we all know what she's capable of, but to actually see her sort of take that, take her game to the next level and do that in a World Cup has been fantastic.
05:44She's someone who's very diligent in everything she does.
05:48She's a hard worker, but, you know, I think for Ash, when she's at her best, it's about making sure that she's enjoying the game and enjoying the environment and make sure she's getting in the contest.
05:57So, it's been really pleasing to see the way she's been playing, and she's obviously a really important player for us with both the bat and the ball and across all facets of the game.
06:07So, really happy with sort of her tournament, and long may it continue.

06:16Australia's campaign is sort of ebbed and floored at the start, from the beginning, before you obviously achieve that dominating streak towards the second half of the campaign.
06:29How much of, how much of that form, peak momentum, whatever you guys want to call it, how much of that weighs on the mind ahead of a knockout game where, you know,
06:41also in a way does not matter at all?
06:44Yeah, I think, you know, momentum's an interesting thing.
06:48I think people talk about momentum a lot, and when you've got the momentum and the confidence to keep going.
06:54So, you know, I like to think that sort of we're confident with our game plan.
06:58We've had a lot of our batters have contributed at some time across the tournament.
07:02So, you know, hopefully that one or two of them can stick their hand up tomorrow night.
07:08But I think that's been a, you know, an upside of our tournament is that we've had a number of players do really well.
07:13So, and similarly with the ball, probably seeing sort of alarm of the way she's bowled at the back end of the round games.
07:20I guess we take a lot of confidence that we've got a number of players that can do the job for us.
07:24And hopefully, you know, one, two, three of them are having a big night tomorrow.
07:29So, I think that's the beauty about our performances have been a range of players performing.
07:35Last time India defeated Australia in the 2017 semi-final, Harman Preet played a brilliant knock.
07:44She has not really clicked in this tournament.
07:46But in the league stage, India posted 330, which Australia chased.
07:51So, what do you have to say about Indian batters?
07:53And what kind of contest do you expect tomorrow?
07:56Well, we expect a tough contest.
07:58There's no doubt about that.
07:59I think every time we've played here, it's been a tough contest.
08:03It's obviously really good conditions.
08:04And there's going to be, by all accounts, a massive crowd.
08:09And, you know, I know that India are a really strong batting order.
08:12They throw everything at us.
08:14So, we certainly need to make sure that we're ready for them.
08:17And they bat with a lot of depth now, too.
08:19So, we're certainly under no illusions as to the depth and the skill of our batting order.
08:24And certainly, the planning that goes into that is, you know, making sure that we're getting that right as well.
08:30So, absolutely, you know, I think every time we've played them more recently,
08:34they've come out and they've gone pretty hard.
08:36And we expect nothing short of that tomorrow night.
08:39Just talking about the conditions that are in play here,
08:41in terms of how much the pitch has supported the batters in the previous games.
08:47It's known that a little bit of weather is around in terms of unseasonal rains.
08:50But keeping in mind that India and Australia nearly had a batters versus batters clash
08:56in the last time when they met.
08:58And this also being a very good batting friendly wicket,
09:00what sort of context do you see in terms of contribution the bowlers will have to make
09:05in terms of altering their plans?
09:06How much you will have to work and look into the previous stats, the previous videos,
09:10given not much of four-year cricket has been played at this one year?
09:14Yeah, look, we've had the luxury to play at least a number of T20s here.
09:18So, sort of have a, and some of the players through the WPA as well.
09:21So, at least sort of have an understanding of the wicket and the conditions from that perspective.
09:27But I think the bowling's got a huge part to play.
09:30Sort of, as you mentioned, it was a bat-off.
09:32But I think the bowling, you know, can possibly be the difference.
09:37So, we're certainly putting a lot of work into that side of the game as we are with our batting.
09:41But I think, you know, the bowling in particular has got a big role to play,
09:44particularly on a wicket that potentially is quite batter friendly.
09:47I think if the bowlers can execute and get it right, that can, you know, hopefully make the job easier.

09:57Yeah, on a similar note with the conditions, you've talked a lot about no ceilings
10:00and getting the most out of this batting order.
10:02Is this a really good test of just what this batting line-up can do, particularly if you're batting first?
10:07Yeah, I think so.
10:08I think, you know, the whole tournament's been a good test for us
10:11in slightly different conditions to what we're used to at home.
10:14But sort of, yeah, I think we like to think that if we get the right conditions,
10:19then we can, you know, put some big totals out there.
10:22And I'm sure India think exactly the same.
10:24That's what promises to be a cracking contest.
10:27Shelley, India-Australia is one kind of rivalry.
10:30But when you add Navi Mumbai to that, it becomes even bigger, grander.
10:34Talk us to the memories of that super over and what sort of crowd factor are you expecting at this fixture?
10:40Oh, a huge crowd factor, I think.
10:43You know, we played that T20 here with a super over and it was a packed house.
10:48And the atmosphere was probably something that we haven't experienced before.
10:50So we certainly, you know, I think that's going to be new for some players.
10:54But it's also exciting and it's something that we're looking forward to
10:57and looking forward to embracing that part of it.
10:59So I think that's going to play a big role in it, is the atmosphere.
11:04But that's something that we've sort of want to lean into and really, I guess, embrace that.
11:09Because it's, you know, it's not something that we get to experience a big crowd like that all the time.
11:14So I think it's a matter of enjoying and making the most of it.
