00:00شكرا عليك قليلاً لأشترك في القليل.
00:03two things, three things are very striking.
00:18number two, jobs.
00:21the only way that any country will be able to move ahead on these is through alignments.
00:58Some of those definitely include clarity with respect to rules,
01:02commitment when it comes to what is it that we want the private sector to invest in,
01:07and as was mentioned, to alleviate the problems and the bottlenecks that come along.
01:14The other issue which is important is the clarity with respect to policies.
01:18And when we say alignments, I just want to give, when we're talking about regional cooperation,
01:23and with Saudi Arabia for instance we have connectivity on electricity
01:27there is a consortium related to governance
01:31so this is an example of alignment
01:34in the case of Egypt, growth, jobs and resilience are key to us
01:40we've put together an economic narrative for development
01:44and it includes all the reforms related to that
01:47you mentioned infrastructure
01:49without infrastructure that was invested in over the past years
01:54be it logistics, ports, the grid etc
01:58we would not be able today to have very big companies in the renewable energy
02:02working in Egypt, AquaPower just to give an example
02:05and many others
02:07you mentioned transparency and trust
02:09transparency and trust
02:11we need to create a balance between being rigid with regulations
02:18regulations are important because they provide certainty
02:21but when they are too rigid
02:23it does not allow for the innovation to take place
02:26so we need to have that balance
02:28where we take a look at being
02:31you know creating that relationship
02:34between flexibility
02:36when it comes to trying to be more clear with the data requirements
02:40the frameworks
02:41so all of these require operational flexibility
02:46and just to also sum up with everyone
02:49the idea of institutions
02:52it doesn't need to be personalized
02:54you want to have a five-year plan
02:56regardless of which government comes in
02:58this is the plan that is accepted in parliament
03:01and therefore there is a monitoring mechanism that takes place
03:04so that you're not just left as a private sector
03:08with the uncertainty related to
03:10whether it's policy or projects
03:13which you can be involved in
03:14which you can be involved in
03:16you the idea of
03:18how to build up
03:20you need to be in
03:21this lifecycle
03:22when you're going to be able to
03:32you need to know
03:34change
03:35what you're going to do
03:35what you're going to do
03:36so that you're going to want to
03:38what you're talking about
03:38which you're going to do
03:39and you're going to want to
