00:00Now the Formosa Club comprising members of Parliament from 31 countries has been a steadfast partner of Taiwan since its establishment.
00:11And over the years its membership has grown both in size and significance, inspiring other regions, such as Latin America, Africa and West Asia, as well as here in the Indo-Pacific,
00:24to also form their own chapters and further amplify voices that support and understand Taiwan.
00:32The club has consistently advocated for Taiwan's meaningful participation in international organizations, expressed concerns over China's growing aggression,
00:44and worked tirelessly to strengthen relations between Taiwan and its member countries.
00:52And we are truly grateful for that.
00:55In addition to its growing influence, the Formosa Club has also demonstrated strong determination and a unity of purpose,
01:04emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait,
01:09and calling for Taiwan, the EU, and European nations to deepen their cooperation and ties.
01:17Now all of these efforts take place in a global context where the security of the Indo-Pacific and Euro-Atlantic regions have never been more closely linked.
01:30Taiwan, positioned in the front lines of authoritarian expansion, remains unwavering in its commitment to democracy.
01:38The presence of Formosa Club members here today sends a clear message.
01:44Taiwan is not alone in this mission.
01:50Taiwan is not alone in this mission.
01:54Taiwan is not alone in this mission.
