00:00Hi again. It's been a little while. Feels like it's been a little while.
00:03And Liam, I haven't spoken to you since Hunger Games, so that's even long.
00:06I think I've seen you so much for some reason. I don't know why. Literally the last week.
00:10I'm like, thank God. It's always nice to see you guys.
00:13It is because I see your interviews come up as well.
00:15To be fair, you said that last time. I was like, oh, it's so nice.
00:18I'm a broken track record. I know, but it's nice.
00:20It's nice when other people do watch your stuff. You're like, oh, thanks.
00:23It's not all for nothing. Someone's watching it.
00:26I'm saying welcome to this world like you haven't just filmed two seasons and completely done.
00:31What was it, though, that made you feel like Geralt?
00:35Was it the wig or was it something else?
00:37Because if I put on a wig, I feel like I'm transformed, so I don't know what it was for you.
00:41I think the first time I had the full costume on, and this is in pre-production,
00:49and the first time I had the full costume, the wig, the contacts, everything in,
00:54and the sword and all of that, and you feel the weight of it all.
00:57I think that moment, you know, it felt pretty real.
01:02Yes. You're not with Liam a lot in this, like, this season at all.
01:08I don't know what's coming up, like, next one.
01:10But how was it filming this season for you?
01:12Obviously having Liam, you've done bits with him, so what was it?
01:15I know he's right here, but what nice things have we got?
01:19I wish we'd had more, but, you know, the scenes we had were weird.
01:24It was, like, for me personally, just because I was having to always be tiny Siri.
01:30Right.
01:31It was, like, flashback stuff, so for me it was just weird because I was, like,
01:35this 23-year-old trying to be, like, a 14-year-old.
01:39It just felt a bit wrong almost.
01:40But, yeah, it was really exciting, and obviously can't wait to sit down
01:47and actually watch what you've been doing.
01:49I can't wait to watch either.
01:50Have you not watched it yet?
01:51No.
01:52I've watched it.
01:53You have?
01:54I did. I finally did.
01:55I didn't watch it until very recently.
01:57And I did it intentionally not to...
02:00I didn't want to be too self-aware of anything that I was doing last year.
02:03How did it feel?
02:04Because I know some people are very against watching themselves.
02:06I don't, yeah, I don't generally ever watch anything.
02:08I mean, I'll watch it at some point once, but I'm not someone that...
02:13Unless there's a problem with something, and, you know, it's like,
02:16maybe play around with this, which I've never really had before,
02:19but if there was that problem, I would go back and I would watch it,
02:22and, you know, and...
02:24But I feel like, for me, it's...
02:27I don't want that in my head, that self-awareness, you know?
02:30If I've done my job and I've done the preparation
02:32and I'm there with the other actors and, you know,
02:35and we're focusing on being present and playing the truth of that scene,
02:38then that's what I wanted, that's my focus.
02:40It's not, you know...
02:42Unless there's issues with certain things.
02:44The only thing I would watch back was physicality stuff with fight scenes,
02:48which actually was helpful.
02:49And we had an incredible sword-fighting martial arts expert
02:54who would adjust the slightest thing about your movements or body position,
02:58and it would make a world of difference, and I was very appreciative for that.
03:01Listen, you look great doing it.
03:03Good job.
03:04Are you immune to goriness at this point?
03:07Like, you know, when eyes are exploding on...
03:09I know.
03:10Like, there's just, like, so much, like, having done it for this long.
03:13Heads.
03:14Heads, sawn off.
03:15Sorry.
03:16Spoiler.
03:17We don't know whose head.
03:19The most annoying thing is when you're watching stuff on TV now...
03:24Yes.
03:25...I'm like, I know how they did that.
03:26Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:27So that's why.
03:28Exactly.
03:29It doesn't feel real.
03:30Yeah, but I have to really be in it for it to be real,
03:34but otherwise I'm like, I know exactly how they did that.
03:36There's a rig there.
03:37Exactly.
03:38And then I start telling the person, I'm watching, they're just like...
03:40Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:41I'm just going to pause this and tell you what I know.
03:42Or sometimes I'll be like, wig lace.
03:44Bad wig lace.
03:45Bad wig lace.
03:46Ah.
03:47Yours is good wig, right?
03:48Good wigs?
03:49Good wigs?
03:50Amazing wigs.
03:51They're very expensive wigs.
03:52They're very expensive wigs.
03:53Yeah.
03:54Actually, obviously we've got Halloween coming up.
03:55Do you...
03:56Have you guys ever dressed as your characters for Halloween?
03:58No.
03:59That would be so unbelievably embarrassing.
04:00My girls.
04:01You've been using an easy, easy...
04:02...like costume, right?
04:03You'll be like, wow, you really look like this girl.
04:05Yeah.
04:06Great job.
04:07With everything I've stolen from Yennefer's wardrobe, I probably could do a few outfits.
04:11What's your go-to Halloween?
04:12What are you going to do this year for Halloween?
04:13I always think...
04:14I don't know if this is kind of a bit like...
04:16But I was thinking, like, X Factor contestants.
04:19Very good.
04:20Yeah.
04:21Yeah.
04:22I have another one that's actually too rude.
04:24I'm not...
04:25Yeah.
04:26Oh, no.
04:27I'll tell you later it's funny.
04:28What do you do for Halloween?
04:29Yeah.
04:30I grew up in Australia, so it's never been that big in Australia.
04:33Like, I remember once as a, you know, as a child going and doing the trick-or-treating thing
04:39and most people in Australia tell you to piss off.
04:44I'm like, I'm going to give you lollies.
04:46Or if someone hands you an apple or a banana, I'm like, yeah, great.
04:49And then once I moved to the States, and I lived in the States for 11 years,
04:53and it's huge there, obviously, and it's super fun.
04:59I'm trying to think of previous coaches.
05:01I went as a professional ping-pong player once.
05:03What?
05:04Yeah, just tiny shorts and a singlet and a headband.
05:07Oh, that's horror.
05:08That's horror.
05:09And I think I was just walking around the party doing squats and lunges
05:12and telling people to get a workout whenever you can, you know.
05:15Cool.
05:16You've got to get it in when you can, guys.
05:17And that was just on repeat for a while.
05:20And then I was asked to do that.
05:21I want to see that.
05:22Bring that one back.
05:23Bring that one back.
05:24Well, I want to see you do, like, The Witcher.
05:26Yeah, for Halloween.
05:27Oh, he's a beautiful.
05:28Yeah.
05:29Obviously, you had taken over.
05:30Is it a different Witcher to what we've seen previously?
05:34Because he talks about, obviously, lost love.
05:36Yeah.
05:37Yeah, I think so.
05:38I mean, I didn't want to imitate anything that had been done before.
05:43This is my interpretation of the character.
05:48But particularly, I think, this part of his journey, he's going through a lot of change.
05:54He's in a place of doubt and struggle and he's severely injured.
05:59And, you know, he's really unsure about whether he's going to be able to go and save his daughter.
06:03He doesn't know where his daughter is and his motivation is always to protect.
06:10And he doesn't know that he can do that right now.
06:13And I thought this is what attracted me about playing this part of the story.
06:18He's dealing with real human emotions and struggles.
06:23You know what I mean?
06:24He's obviously been mutated and has these powers and whatnot and lives by a very stoic sort of idealism and whatnot.
06:34But he's worried right now.
06:39He's struggling with it all.
06:40And I like that.
06:41There's a really great arc to this season and the next part of the story as well.
06:46And, yeah, I think there was a lot of really interesting things to play with.
06:52Well, I know you guys are wrapped on it, but I'm sure I'll be back for season five.
06:57We'll bring you back into that world again.
06:59Good luck with this one.
07:00Thank you so much.
07:01Lovely to see you guys.
07:02Lovely to see you too.
