00:04Welcome to London Victoria, one of the capital's busiest and best connected train stations.
00:09Opened in 1860, Victoria sits on the edge of Westminster, just a short walk from Buckingham
00:14Palace. Today it's a major transport hub, linking central London with Gatwick Airport,
00:19the south coast and destinations across Kent and Sussex. The station is split with two main sections,
00:25one for Southern and Gatwick Express services and the other for South Eastern trains.
00:30Below the main concourse, the Victoria Underground station connects the Victoria,
00:34District and Circle lines, making it a key interchange for commuters and tourists alike.
00:40With shops, cafes and a grand 19th century facade, London Victoria isn't just a stop,
00:46it's a gateway to the heart of the city and beyond. It's also a hub for coaches and nearby to theatres.
