00:30Arjun and Malaika had a long-standing relationship,
00:33though Malaika's past marriage to Arbaaz Khan ended after nearly two decades,
00:37and her relationship with Arjun Kapoor eventually concluded.
00:40Even so, the two remain on good terms.
00:46Recently, they were seen sharing a warm hug at the screening of Homebound,
00:50showing that their bond is one of respect and friendship.
00:52Earlier, Malaika addressed the birthday wish in an interview, saying,
00:58I will never choose a public platform to talk about my personal life.
01:02So, whatever Arjun has said is entirely his prerogative.
01:07She also spoke about maintaining her independence and identity in relationships.
01:12It's good that you're doing things together,
01:14but that doesn't mean you kind of give up your entire identity and take on someone else's.
