04:16s-
04:16Think of it like this.
04:18Imagine you're on a journey through a dense, foggy forest.
04:23You can only see a few feet ahead, and every shadow looks like a potential danger.
04:31You feel lost and afraid.
04:35Now, imagine your guide is someone who not only knows the entire forest like the back of their hand,
04:45but has already walked the path ahead of you.
04:49He cleared the obstacles and is now walking right beside you, holding a light.
04:58You wouldn't be afraid anymore, would you?
05:02You would trust the guide.
05:05That guide is God.
05:07He has already been in your tomorrow.
05:11He knows the path.
05:13He knows where the pitfalls are, and He knows the way through.
05:20Isaiah 41-10 is one of the most powerful reassurances we have.
05:28So do not fear, for I am with you.
05:34Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
05:39I will strengthen you and help you.
05:43I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
05:48This verse isn't a suggestion.
05:52It's a command rooted in a promise.
05:56Don't fear, asterisk, because asterisk, I am with you.
06:01Don't be dismayed, asterisk, because asterisk, I am your God.
06:09Our courage doesn't come from our own strength or our ability to see the future.
06:16It comes from the unchanging character of the one who holds the future.
06:23He doesn't just promise to be present.
06:29He promises to actively help, strengthen, and uphold us.
06:35This doesn't mean that our tomorrows will be free of challenges.
06:40Life will still have its struggles.
06:44There will be difficult conversations, unexpected bills, and moments of heartache.
06:51Jesus himself told us, in John 16.33,
06:57In this world, you will have trouble.
07:01But he didn't stop there.
07:04He finished the sentence with the ultimate promise,
07:08But take heart.
07:10I have overcome the world.
07:13He has overcome the very things we fear.
07:17He has conquered sin, death, and every broken thing in this world.
07:25Because he has overcome, we can face our troubles,
07:30Not with a spirit of defeat, but with the confidence of an overcomer.
07:35So, the next time you feel that nod of anxiety,
07:40Tightening in your stomach about what's to come,
07:43I want you to pause.
07:47Take a deep breath,
07:48And remind yourself of this truth.
07:52God is already there.
07:55He is in your meeting tomorrow.
07:58He is in your doctor's office next week.
08:01He is in the financial decisions you have to make next month.
