00:00First of all, can you give us an update on Sophie Eccleston?
00:04Was it just a precaution that she didn't come back to the field after middling those four balls?
00:13I don't know exactly, but I think she should be okay.
00:20How happy are you with the performance, especially the collective performance of the spinners?
00:27Seven of the ten New Zealand wickets went to England spinners.
00:32So, was it planned? How happy are you with the collective performance ahead of the semi-final against South Africa?
00:39Yeah, really happy with the whole team performance.
00:42I thought New Zealand got off to a decent start at the start and then I guess I thought we pulled it back brilliantly.
00:49To restrict them to that total was obviously key in the game.
00:53And then, yeah, was happy to have that partnership with Tam and another one with Hev.
00:58It felt like a fairly clinical performance, so we're pretty pleased.
01:02Were you surprised with how the pitch played, the number of runs scored and how it was a bit slow and some of the balls were staying low?
01:12So, was it a surprise for you?
01:14Yeah, a little bit. I think it was obviously clear once they were batting that it was on the slower side.
01:21So, I guess by the time we batted, we were prepared for that.
01:24But it was, yeah, definitely a challenge, I guess.
01:27Probably a bit more sort of a mental challenge, a lot more dots than I would have liked.
01:33And, yeah, I found it very frustrating at times.
01:36But luckily, Tammy took, like, she got off to a flyer and that really eased the pressure for me.
01:41And then, yeah, I guess happy for it to be a convincing win.
01:45Just something on Sophie Devine. How was it sharing the field with her and the guard of honor and everything that surrounded her ODA retirement?
01:53How was it? How was the feeling?
01:55Yeah, it was really nice. I think it's, yeah, so special to sort of share those moments, especially someone like Sophie.
02:02I've known for a long time now. We've played on the same team and obviously against each other for many years.
02:07So, yeah, she's, yeah, obviously a great cricketer, a great person too and I think it's great to see her get this recognition.
02:17She's been hugely successful in ODI cricket for New Zealand and she's definitely inspired a lot of people along the way.
02:23So, yeah, hugely happy for her.
02:28Hello. Hi.
02:30Listening to your voice?
02:33Hello. Hi.
02:35First of all, congratulations on your wonderful innings today.
02:39How are you preparing for semi-final?
02:42What is the one thing you would like to see improve upon in these semi-finals?
02:50I think, obviously, we're, yeah, we're back to Guwahati so we sort of know how that plays.
02:55I think it suits our bowlers really well. Obviously, we've got some of the best spinners and that wicket was really conducive to that.
03:03So, I'm excited to keep to our spinners on that wicket.
03:07And then, yeah, I think we've got a lot of confidence on the back of that game and the tournament as a whole.
03:13I think there's been great learnings throughout and, yeah, just really excited for the occasion in Guwahati.
03:20So, yeah, we can't wait.
03:29Thanks, Amy. A couple from UK Press.
03:31How important is Sophie for the spin bowling attack and was it more difficult today without her?
03:37Yeah, Sophie plays a huge role within the team. Obviously, she's our most experienced spinner and, yeah, one of the best in the world.
03:45So, she plays a huge role. I think it was great today to see the others step up.
03:50Dunks, I can't remember the last time she bowled, but she, you know, she was straight in there and she was brilliant.
03:56And Capsie too, she's obviously bowled throughout the tournament, but with the potential, like she had the potential of a bigger role today.
04:02So, I think the depth that we've got is brilliant and, yeah, hopefully Sophie's back and firing.
04:09And I think I know the answer to this. Are you monitoring the weather in Guwahati?
04:13And did that make you more conscious of wanting to finish second in the group in case the weather plays a role?
04:18Or was it a case of just wanting to finish strongly in the group stages?
04:21Yeah, we obviously wanted to finish as high as we possibly could, I think.
04:26You know, hopefully the weather doesn't play a part, but it probably is a factor.
04:30So, yeah, I think to finish, finish second is, yeah, a great, a great thing for us.
04:36And yeah, we were obviously chasing that today.
04:40Perfect. Thanks guys.
