00:29That's great.
00:59I think the importance of the same machine is things we can't control.
01:29For months, we have stressed the importance of distinguishing things we can control and
01:54things we can't control.
01:57We can't control the trade policy of the United States.
02:01We recognize that that policy has fundamentally changed from the policy in the 1980s, 1990s,
02:082000s.
02:09And it's a situation where the United States has tariffs against every one of their trading
02:15partners to different degrees.
02:18And it's in that context that our officials, my colleagues, have been working with their
02:24American colleagues on detailed, constructive negotiations, discussions on specific transactions,
02:33specific sectors, steel, aluminum, and energy.
02:36And a lot of progress has been made.
02:38And we stand ready to pick up on that progress and build on that progress when the Americans
02:47are ready to have those discussions.
02:49Because it will be for the benefit of workers in the United States, workers in Canada, and
02:56families in both of our countries.
02:58Now, what we can control, absolutely, is how we build here at home.
03:05And that's the focus of Budget 2025, generational investment here in Canada.
03:10And what we can also control, or at least heavily influence, is developing new partnerships and
03:15opportunities, including with the economic giants of Asia, which is the focus of this trip.
03:21Thank you very much.
