00:00:00Here's a opponent from Yucca Valley, California, weighing in at 220 pounds.
00:00:06He is the TNA International Champion, Frankie Kazarian.
00:00:19Frankie Kazarian is striding into his ninth match all time.
00:00:23A TNA's biggest event of the year, bowed for glory.
00:00:26And doing so as the TNA International Champion after dethroning Macklin, the inaugural champion.
00:00:35A lot of people around this country say no kings, but in TNA, there is one.
00:00:42And he is the one and only Frankie Kazarian.
00:00:46And he's still your and my international championship.
00:00:49Wait a minute, a scum by Macklin.
00:00:52And the bell's not even rung yet.
00:00:54Macklin gets Kazarian back inside the ring.
00:00:58There's the bell.
00:00:59This TNA International Championship match is underway to kickoff, bound for glory.
00:01:06Macklin's starting off fast and furious.
00:01:09You know he's still hot and bothered about how everything went down in losing that championship.
00:01:14I was going to say I'd love to have gotten to the headlines, but Macklin had other plans.
00:01:18Two weeks ago at Victory Road, to your point, the involvement of AAA's El Macias created a distraction for Steve Macklin.
00:01:26Amongst that matchup also, Frankie Kazarian cheated to win the matchup and take the title from Macklin.
00:01:33No doubt about it, Kazarian saw an opening, saw an opportunity, and took it.
00:01:41Thanks.
00:01:41Ooh, El Macias, as you mentioned.
00:01:45Macklin reigned for 162 days as the first ever TNA International Champion.
00:01:51Ooh, and again, it's a light drop there by Kazarian.
00:01:54Macklin set a standard, enough that it caught the eye of the TNA original, Frankie Kazarian.
00:01:59Kazarian, who's been on a journey of his own.
00:02:04Oh, wait a minute.
00:02:04Oh, my God!
00:02:05A sunset bomb to the floor!
00:02:09Macklin just smacked his entire carcass off the ground.
00:02:17Take another look at this.
00:02:19This is just the beginning of the action here at Bout for Glory.
00:02:23This sunset bomb to Macklin to the outside.
00:02:26So, Frankie Kazarian responding up that scud from Macklin before the match.
00:02:32I mean, this one might be over before it really gets started.
00:02:35Kaz could take a count out here, but no.
00:02:38Choosing to go after Macklin inflicting more punishment.
00:02:42I think Kazarian has taken this personally between he and Steve Macklin.
00:02:46He was tipped off that Santino Morella even gave Macklin this opportunity, a rematch.
00:02:51Oh, wait a minute.
00:02:53Oh, hold on now.
00:02:54And there's Steve Macklin's mother, Annie.
00:03:00I don't know if I'd mess with anybody who had the power to birth Steve Macklin.
00:03:05Oh, that's definitely Steve Macklin's mom.
00:03:23Well, if you don't understand, I guess you've got a little bit of cyber.
00:03:26Oh, and now Macklin kicking the hell out of Kazarian.
00:03:32That'll make a mother proud.
00:03:34You do not insult the Marines mama.
00:03:36Very true.
00:03:37Very, very true.
00:03:38Kazarian now trying to gather himself back inside the ring.
00:03:42That's press.
00:03:43And here comes Macklin.
00:03:44Remember, the title can only change hands via pinfall or submission in the ring, not via countout or disqualification.
00:03:50Well, Macklin's just got to regain a little bit of composure here.
00:03:53To your point, got to get this done in the center of the ring.
00:03:56Oh, going for the chicken wing.
00:03:58Going for the chicken wing.
00:04:00Back elbow there by Macklin.
00:04:03Like a firecracker.
00:04:04And boom.
00:04:05An Olympic slam from Burlitt for Steve Macklin, who's all sorts of fired up here at Battle for Glory.
00:04:12Tom, you and I both know what kind of pride and meaning Macklin put in being that first ever international champion.
00:04:19It meant the world to him to set that pattern, to set that tone for a brand new championship.
00:04:25Macklin trying to right a wrong as he believes in his mind.
00:04:30But right now, he's got Kazarian right where he wants him.
00:04:33Bring in everybody with him.
00:04:42Look out!
00:04:43Oh, and Kazarian never got caught in the crosshairs.
00:04:46Oh, looking for a cover out of their wings!
00:04:48Wait a minute!
00:04:49Wait a minute!
00:04:49Now it's Macklin with a chicken wing on Kazarian!
00:04:53Kazarian was going for that cutter he pulled on Macklin at Victory Road.
00:04:57But no!
00:04:57There's a cover!
00:04:58Oh, wait a minute!
00:04:59Kazarian had his hand on the ropes of Rufferate Corner!
00:05:01Good catch by referee Ellis Lane there.
00:05:06The match continues, and there's Macklin right after Kazarian.
00:05:10Oh, and a backstabber!
00:05:12That'll soil you up real quick.
00:05:14On the move.
00:05:16Little clothesline.
00:05:17Listen, I'll give credit to Frankie Kazarian.
00:05:20He acquitted himself well this past Tuesday.
00:05:22He's a part of Showdown representing Team TNA.
00:05:25Look out!
00:05:26But right now, he's caught at a Boston Crab in low mass!
00:05:31How apropos has Macklin looking to get the submission victory here!
00:05:40See, Macklin refusing to relinquish.
00:05:43He's got to be careful.
00:05:44He doesn't get disqualified.
00:05:45He won't win the title.
00:05:46That's what I'm saying.
00:05:47If Macklin has a big weakness in his armor, it's that he can't let it get to his head.
00:05:52The emotions can get to become a bit much!
00:05:54Go for KIA.
00:05:57Kazarian able to escape.
00:05:58Kazarian does own the...
00:06:00Oh!
00:06:003-1 advantage.
00:06:02All-time, one-on-one against Macklin.
00:06:05Kaz with a little Pele kick there.
00:06:07Shuff it out.
00:06:08AJ Styles in right there!
00:06:10A tribute to Christopher Daniels!
00:06:12Angel swings!
00:06:13Oh, and a kick out!
00:06:15His old fat-influenced teammate!
00:06:19It's been a weekend of tributes, whether you're in the United States or Australia.
00:06:22No kidding, too.
00:06:23Frankie Kazarian's greatest rival is represented in the span of about 10 seconds there.
00:06:29It's also special for Kazarian to be competing here in Massachusetts.
00:06:32He trained under the late, great Hall of Famer Killer Kowalski nearby in Malden.
00:06:36You can hear how the people alone feel about Frankie.
00:06:43This is where the man cut his teeth.
00:06:45How dare they?
00:06:46Oh, my God.
00:06:47Hold on a second.
00:06:49Is Kazarian thinking about fade to black from the second rope?
00:06:57He thought about it.
00:06:58That's for damn sure.
00:06:59Macklin, though, saw it coming.
00:07:01Oh, now Macklin again.
00:07:03He's got to be careful.
00:07:04Cannot risk an ex-qualification, but Kazarian is down.
00:07:11You know it's serious when you go full Tyson, and Macklin about to drop the jar headbutt, but no!
00:07:19Kazarian rolled out of the way.
00:07:21Now Macklin needs to regroup out on the apron.
00:07:23I don't think Kazarian's going to give him the tie.
00:07:25There's a slingshot cutter!
00:07:27Wait, this is how it went down.
00:07:29And victory road!
00:07:31Macklin able to kick out!
00:07:32One, two, three!
00:07:33Macklin stays alive!
00:07:36Kaz can't believe it.
00:07:38Now it's the king who has to not get frustrated.
00:07:41Not let his butt boil.
00:07:43Let's go, Macklin!
00:07:47Let's go!
00:07:48A stop there by Kazarian.
00:07:50Plenty of frustration for Kazarian, who much of the last few years has been talking about capturing the TNA World Championship.
00:07:58He saw an opportunity, believed there was a weakness he could take advantage of, thrived at victory road amidst the chaos, and took the international title.
00:08:07Hang on, though.
00:08:08Look at the position Macklin's in.
00:08:10A little bit of insult to injury.
00:08:16You saw Macklin going for the chicken wing.
00:08:19Maybe Kaz thinks turnabout is fair play here.
00:08:22Is Macklin about to get caught in the crosshairs?
00:08:28Wait a minute!
00:08:29Macklin sits up.
00:08:31Kazarian went into the turnbuckle.
00:08:33Oh, wait.
00:08:33Here we go.
00:08:34Turning it right back around.
00:08:35Oh, now this is how it's done.
00:08:43Kazarian gets caught in the crosshairs.
00:08:45Nearly caught in the king of TNA in half there.
00:08:49And now Macklin trying to set up for it.
00:08:52Yes!
00:08:53K-I-A!
00:08:54Planted!
00:08:57Steve Macklin has taken back the TNA International title.
00:09:02Here is your winner and new TNA International champion, Steve Macklin!
00:09:24And there is TNA President Carlos Silva to return the international championship to Steve Macklin.
00:09:31We're about for glory.
00:09:33What a way to start things off here.
00:09:35You see the members of the U.S. Marine Corps who joined Macklin out of his entrance watching with pride.
00:09:43That match, that match was non-stop action.
00:09:49Coming up, we will follow the longest tenured member of the TNA wrestling roster, Eddie Edwards,
00:09:56as he prepared to come home for the biggest event of the year.
00:10:01Two worlds collided under one spotlight.
00:10:10Once again, big and elbow.
00:10:12Oh, and for the elbow to the spine one more time.
00:10:15Jordan sensed it coming.
00:10:16And there's a big kick right to the face.
00:10:19Kalani Jordan came to prove that NXT's future...
00:10:23Look out!
00:10:25One of a kind!
00:10:26The split-legged moonsault!
00:10:28...could stand toe-to-toe with TNA wrestling's best.
00:10:32Jordan retains the Knockouts World Championship!
00:10:35Being able to have NXT and TNA partner gives me the opportunity to be able to work with people from another brand.
00:10:42And honestly, I love it.
00:10:44I think it's great for the business.
00:10:45I think it's great for both NXT.
00:10:47I think it's great for both TNA.
00:10:48And in a night where everything was on the line...
00:10:52Raywall, look at the expression on Jordan's face.
00:10:55...both women fought to define what glory really looks like.
00:10:59A great sign of respect between Kalani Jordan and Indy Hartwell.
00:11:05I want to go against the best of the best, whether that's on NXT, TNA, whoever wants it.
00:11:09I want to defend it.
00:11:10A heartbreak for Indy here at Bound for Glory in front of her family.
00:11:15A valiant effort regardless.
00:11:17But it's back to the drawing board for Hartwell.
00:11:25The arenas are bigger.
00:11:27The crowds are louder.
00:11:29The recent success of TNA Wrestling didn't happen overnight.
00:11:35It took years of believing that anything was possible.
00:11:39From Boston, Massachusetts, Eddie Edwards.
00:11:45Eddie Edwards has been at TNA Wrestling longer than anyone on the roster.
00:11:50He has seen the ups and downs of a company that he loves so dearly.
00:11:54All I've wanted all my life is the respect and admiration of my peers.
00:12:00He is a former two-time TNA Wrestling World Champion, a two-time X Division Champion, and a seven-time TNA World Tag Team Champion.
00:12:13He is the first foreigner to win the Pro Wrestling NOAA GHC Heavyweight Championship, and the only American to hold this prestigious honor.
00:12:23And on October 12th, Eddie Edwards comes home.
00:12:29Since I've been a part of the company, we have not been in Massachusetts, people would ask, when is TNA coming?
00:12:35And to finally be able to give somebody an answer, like, hey, buy them for glory, October 12th, TNA is back.
00:12:41It's awesome.
00:12:42I mean, to be, you know, this close to my home and where I grew up, it's a very special feeling.
00:12:48It's a culmination of my career as a whole, as well as my career at TNA.
00:12:55I get to do it with the system, my best friends and my wife, and there's so much loyalty between us because we respect what each other are doing.
00:13:03We all have the same goals.
00:13:04And that's a big part of TNA is, like, everybody on the roster, from the front office, to production, to everybody involved, the wrestlers, everybody has the same goal, to keep driving forward and get to that next level.
00:13:17And nobody's going to stop until we do it.
00:13:23This wasn't just another fight.
00:13:26Not this.
00:13:27Oh, my God!
00:13:27It's a bomb and an attack!
00:13:29You son of a bitch!
00:13:31It was a reckoning.
00:13:34The chain!
00:13:35The spear!
00:13:38The system walked into a war.
00:13:40Dear God, no.
00:13:41Not this.
00:13:42Not this.
00:13:42This is too far.
00:13:44It walked out stronger.
00:13:46I want the fans to know that we left everything out there.
00:13:50The blood, the sweat, the tears.
00:13:52By watching that, it sums up how we feel about this company.
00:13:58How we feel about our brothers and sisters here, that we want to go out there and kill it.
00:14:03And we do it because we believe it.
00:14:06Because in TNA Wrestling,
00:14:07A company defined by grit and endurance.
00:14:15Oh, the 450 of the attacks!
00:14:18You've got to be kidding me!
00:14:25Order still prevails.
00:14:28Make sure you want to even work harder.
00:14:32I mean, guys are giving 110% out there, but when you hear the end of that crowd, you want to give 130%.
00:14:39At Bound for Glory.
00:14:45Eddie Edwards for the barbed wire Boston Knee Party!
00:14:51The system didn't just survive.
00:14:55Tonight is one of those times where it's like, there's a couple moments, even before we went out, you know, standing out in the crowd, and they're like, wow.
00:15:03I think it's been 20 plus years of the highs, the lows, the championships, the friends, the people we lost.
00:15:14I think, truly, it's just the moment that brings everything together and make it all worth it.
00:15:20They redefined the standard.
00:15:24Family, man, that's one thing about a system.
00:15:28And I just want people to see that match as family, fighting through all adversities, and being successful with him.
00:15:35This was a battle for supremacy here in TNA Wrestling.
00:15:41Who will command the future?
00:15:44From the grind to the glory, Leon Slater's rise is written in passion, drive, and soul.
00:15:54Up next, we will take a look inside the mindset of the youngest in charge.
00:16:02That Tuesday on NXT, the TNA Exhibition Championship was on the line as Leon Slater defended against NXT's Stax Lorenzo.
00:16:12Javon Evans in his corner, Ariana Grace in the corner of her fiancé, nearly getting involved in the action.
00:16:19However, in the end, it was the youngest in charge.
00:16:23Leon Slater able to hit that Swanton 450 and retain the TNA Exhibition title.
00:16:31We don't care if it's somebody from NXT, anybody from TNA, hell, anybody from, uh, what's that other crowd?
00:16:40Well, they got an answer from Triple-A.
00:16:47Triple-A has taken over Mexico, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Prescott Valley is next.
00:16:54We versus you two on Saturday.
00:16:56We're asking, you shall receive.
00:17:00The match will go down for the hottest stars in the business today.
00:17:05Go at it at Halloween Havoc.
00:17:07It will be the TNA Exhibition Champion, Leon Slater, and NXT's Javon Evans versus Triple-A's La Parca and Mr. Iguana.
00:17:15We're the weak to survive this far.
00:17:20The Exhibition has always been the soul of TNA Wrestling.
00:17:27I watched this literally all my life.
00:17:30Like, this is all I've ever wanted to do.
00:17:32Do special matches, special moments with this belt.
00:17:36And sold-out arenas, and I just did that at 21 years old.
00:17:38This year has been absolutely mad.
00:17:40I have no words, really.
00:17:41At Bound for Glory, Leon Slater and Javon Evans.
00:17:46An Exhibition Championship match made in heaven.
00:17:51Didn't just compete for a championship.
00:17:54Wait, wait, wait.
00:17:55Oh, the OG cutter on the apron.
00:17:58Going for Zone 1.
00:18:00Got him.
00:18:02Unbelievable.
00:18:04They earned the right to carry forward a standard.
00:18:07There's the real deal.
00:18:09OG cutter for this win.
00:18:11Is this it?
00:18:12Oh, Slater kicked out.
00:18:15Built by generations before them.
00:18:17Look out.
00:18:18T'Bond Evans leaping after Slater.
00:18:21Evans trying to get back towards the ring so this Exhibition Championship match can continue.
00:18:28Evans and Slater in a thriller here.
00:18:31And Dr. Claude and there's Slater.
00:18:34Build this ring.
00:18:34Ladies and gentlemen, the 20 million times that it has expired.
00:18:39You've got to be kidding me.
00:18:43It seems to me like we want to see five more videos.
00:18:49I think it was our moment more than anything.
00:18:54I think me and Javon are going to do this a million more times.
00:18:56I told him that when we came back.
00:18:58I'm looking forward to the next one and the one after that and the one after that.
00:19:01I think we're going to be soulmates after that one for sure.
00:19:03Here we go.
00:19:05Evans and Slater.
00:19:06The Exhibition title.
00:19:07Wait, wait.
00:19:08I've been very lucky to have those special moments like two or three times now where I know I've killed it.
00:19:19The crowd loves it.
00:19:20And I know that the locker room we have here is so loving and so caring that everybody's watching.
00:19:24So I'm excited to come back and see their reaction.
00:19:26And when I know I've killed it, I know we're going to get the standing on from the folks in the back as well.
00:19:30And that's the bit that I enjoy, almost more than anything.
00:19:32Look out!
00:19:33Spanish fly!
00:19:35Oh, not this!
00:19:37Dark State is here!
00:19:39I bow for glory!
00:19:41And wait a minute now, Dark State from NXT taking out one of their own!
00:19:45This has to be some sick, twisted form of playback from Dark State trying to shove it in the face of TNA Wrestling.
00:19:54To desecrate an absolute classic in the making.
00:19:58This was shaping up to be an exhibition championship match for the ages.
00:20:05On TNA's greatest stage here at Bound for Glory.
00:20:09And it was ruined by Dark State.
00:20:16Last October, everything changed.
00:20:21A year ago, the night after Bound for Glory, broke my neck.
00:20:25I had a double fusion and I was paralyzed.
00:20:28For maybe three or four months where there was no certainty of if I was going to walk again.
00:20:34And through the power of God, prayers, positivity, a lot of good energy, good doctors, medicine.
00:20:38And I was able to finally get back on my feet.
00:20:43Tonight, we all celebrated his return.
00:20:48There's been something about the good energy of what I've been watching through TNA.
00:20:52And this is not a lie.
00:20:54There was times when I couldn't stand on my feet for longer than five minutes and I'd watch one of the TNA shows.
00:20:59And I'd stay in the whole show, you know, like watching the show, seeing what everybody was doing, feeling that energy.
00:21:06I missed being here.
00:21:07I missed my family.
00:21:08I missed being a part of it.
00:21:10Chris Bay reminded the world.
00:21:12All I really need is one shot.
00:21:16Now they're trying to get their hands in.
00:21:18Oh, they're trying to find what you've got to bring.
00:21:20What you're wearing, man.
00:21:22Please welcome Chris Bay.
00:21:25And what a moment this is.
00:21:28For the first time since Unbreakable in April, Chris Bay has returned to TNA.
00:21:34You couldn't tell the story of this company without Chris Bay.
00:21:38Hello, world.
00:21:39I am the ultimate finesser, your girl's favorite wrestler, Chris Bay.
00:21:44And I'm tapping in with Bound for Glory.
00:21:49Hold on.
00:21:49Where are my manners?
00:21:50Bay for Glory.
00:21:56Glory belongs to those who never quit.
00:22:00My girl was there and the doctor came in and asked her to step out.
00:22:04And, you know, I was like, she's cool to stay.
00:22:07And he was like, I want to just tell you this by yourself.
00:22:10You know, I don't, I know you trust her.
00:22:12We can trust her with certain things, but I want to just tell you this.
00:22:15And we sat there this close to each other.
00:22:17You know, me in my chair, him in a regular chair.
00:22:19And he told me this.
00:22:21And I repeated it back to him.
00:22:24And he confirmed.
00:22:27And I kind of took it in.
00:22:28And I was like, okay.
00:22:32And after a small conversation and he left out, I like wheeled over to the window.
00:22:39Because I was like my, you know, the window that was in there was like my source of light.
00:22:42And I kind of wheeled over to the window and I just stared into the distance.
00:22:47And I was just like, what the fuck, man?
00:22:51Like me?
00:22:53This ain't going down like this.
00:22:54And as much as I would love to say I fully believed I'd get back on my feet, I didn't believe it, man.
00:23:03I didn't believe it because it felt way too far to believe.
00:23:06You know, when you wake up every day and they're asking you where your pain levels are and there is no pain level because you can't feel.
00:23:12You know, and I remember one time in physical therapy, they had me sitting on the edge of this bench.
00:23:20And they were like, all right, we got to go do something real quick.
00:23:23What I want you to do is I want you to think about moving your legs.
00:23:27Like I want you to just think about moving your legs and try to move your legs.
00:23:31And I sat there just staring at my legs for like 10 minutes, just bawling, trying so hard to think like for just to get some sort of a movement and nothing's happening.
00:23:40Like when you're living through stuff like that and it doesn't feel possible, you know, like and then you get someone telling you, yeah, it's a 10 to 25 percent chance.
00:23:52You're like, oh, this is really it.
00:23:55Like, this is my life.
00:24:00All you want to hear is like, I still have the 10 to 25 percent chance.
00:24:04Yeah.
00:24:04Like, let's focus on that.
00:24:06I don't want to get too comfortable in this position.
00:24:08I also don't want to act like I'm bigger than this position because it's not that it's not that I'm bigger or better than what's going on.
00:24:16It's just it's so much to process.
00:24:19And I'd rather focus on getting back to the other side than stay.
00:24:23It's tough.
00:24:30And then once I locked out of that, I was like, OK, there'll be six days a week.
00:24:35Let's do my best in therapy.
00:24:36You know, once you started therapy, it's like, OK, now it's motivation every time.
00:24:40Like, OK, they're giving you the words of endearment, like positive words.
00:24:44And yeah, that's what's good, man.
00:24:46Good support systems.
00:24:47All right.
00:24:47One hundred percent.
00:24:48Takes a village.
00:24:49Yeah.
00:24:50Oh, man.
00:24:51That's awesome.
00:24:52Thank you, man.
00:24:52Yeah.
00:24:56Coming up, we will take an in-depth look inside the 25 year rivalry between the Hardys and Team 3D,
00:25:05all leading up to one of the most memorable moments in the history of professional wrestling.
00:25:11This is something that means a lot to me.
00:25:18Before the championships.
00:25:20You know, to be able to go out here one last time.
00:25:24Before the scars that never heal.
00:25:32There were four men chasing the same dream.
00:25:37Oh, it's dead.
00:25:393D.
00:25:40Two sets of brothers born in different worlds, bound for the same destiny.
00:25:47My dad's Jeff Hardy, and he does really cool wrestling stuff.
00:25:50From WWF Raw, to Madison Square Garden, to the chaos of TNA Wrestling, they didn't just collide.
00:26:02Stop.
00:26:03They carved their names into history.
00:26:06Brother Nero.
00:26:07Together.
00:26:08I knew you'd come.
00:26:10They redefined what tag team wrestling could do.
00:26:14Oh, my brother!
00:26:15They turned tables into weapons.
00:26:18Oh, testify!
00:26:19And violence into art.
00:26:22It's amazing to have those shared bonds with people.
00:26:25For more than two decades, they've pushed each other to the edge.
00:26:30When you stop moving.
00:26:31When you stop doing what you do and doing what you love.
00:26:34And pulled each other back from it.
00:26:36That's when you start fading away.
00:26:38Rivals.
00:26:39The hardest.
00:26:40Brothers.
00:26:40Team 3D.
00:26:42Survivors.
00:26:43The TNA World Tag Team Titles.
00:26:46And now, at Bound for Glory, there is no tomorrow.
00:26:54No more unfinished business.
00:26:57They stood out so much, and I was like, man, what if we end up in the ring with these guys one day?
00:27:02No more what-ifs.
00:27:04The table has been set.
00:27:07Just one last match.
00:27:09One last war.
00:27:11A legacy will come to a close at Bound for Glory.
00:27:17One last chance to finish this once and for all.
00:27:23Bound for Glory in Boston.
00:27:25This is about sacrifice.
00:27:28Be a very special night for everybody involved.
00:27:31Brotherhood and legacy.
00:27:33But from all of the world, it's going to be a special night for you.
00:27:35TNA Wrestling proudly presents Road to Glory.
00:27:41We're going to give you moments and memories that'll live for another 25 years, if not forever.
00:27:49In 1991, when I graduated and made a decision not to go and pursue a football career,
00:27:56I called Johnny Rods in Brooklyn, New York, downtown Gleason's Gym, which is known for boxing.
00:28:04I was supposed to be trained by Johnny Rods, but it never happened.
00:28:10But the first day I ever met Johnny, he put me in a wrestling ring.
00:28:16And the show Good Morning New York was filming live from Johnny's school.
00:28:22Some of the greats, Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Mike Tyson, Michael Spinks, you name it, they were all there at Gleason's Gym.
00:28:30Well, my trainer, the unpredictable Johnny Rods, was a retired wrestler at the time, opened up a small area in Gleason's Gym, put a wrestling ring and said, okay, here's a wrestling school.
00:28:41And lo and behold, unbeknownst to me, and unbeknownst to him, G-Bom happened to be in the same ring at the same time.
00:28:52I don't remember Bubba being there.
00:28:54Bubba said he was there, but I don't remember.
00:28:56That's the thing.
00:28:56The first time I saw the Dudleys was the original ECW.
00:29:02Matt and I would stay up until like 2 a.m.
00:29:07It's the coolest thing I've ever seen.
00:29:09And the Dudleys was like this whole family that was in the original ECW.
00:29:13Bubba and D-Von, I mean, they stood out so much.
00:29:17And I was like, man, what if we end up in the ring with these guys one day?
00:29:20Myself and my long-lost brother D-Von did not meet until 1996 when he came into ECW, and me and D-Von were arch nemesis.
00:29:35D-Von being the righteous brother of the Dudley group, with Bubba being the more happy-go-lucky, stuttering, dancing, juggling fan favorite.
00:29:46And my brother D-Von didn't like that too much, so he tried to set me straight over and over again.
00:29:53The first time I remember seeing the Dudleys, it was sometime in 1998, and I loved that they were carving their own niche out where they were putting people through tables.
00:30:03And then on top of that, I thought they really worked hard and they busted their ass.
00:30:06And I also thought it was something very riveting whenever they would do flaming tables.
00:30:10They really did things that hadn't been done before.
00:30:12They really were thinking outside the box.
00:30:13I think Bubba and I found our chemistry as time went on.
00:30:17We had a great time back then.
00:30:19I mean, ECW, I tell you, there will never be a place like that ever again.
00:30:23I mean, the camaraderie between everybody, just the overall specialness about ECW was just incredible.
00:30:30Fans loved me in ECW.
00:30:32Fans hated D-Von in ECW.
00:30:35And he was constantly bullying me and beating me up.
00:30:38And in fighting one another, I realized that there was something that me and D-Von had that the both of us didn't have with any of the other Dudleys.
00:30:48A certain in-ring chemistry.
00:30:51We always wanted to go to WWE.
00:30:52At one point, I had cold feet and I was like, no, I'm not going.
00:30:56Me and Bubba somewhat got into it.
00:30:58And then finally, I was like, all right, let's do it.
00:30:59I was scared to go and I was going to be a little fish in a big pond and I knew it.
00:31:06From the first experience with Bubba and D-Von, I had no idea, you know, what the future was holding for us as far as, you know, we knew they broke tables, but we just had no idea.
00:31:18Just for us to both end up there and then to start feuding was so bizarre and super cool.
00:31:24WWE calls and they were very serious about bringing in the Dudleys, but we felt that we were a part of something with ECW.
00:31:33We let Paul know that the WWE called and we asked Paul to give us one more dollar a day.
00:31:40If he would have given us one more dollar a day, we would have stayed.
00:31:44Paul said, I can't get into a bidding war with the WWE.
00:31:47And we were like, a bidding war?
00:31:49A dollar a day?
00:31:51A dollar a show isn't a bidding war.
00:31:54And that's the moment that I realized that Paul was in bed with the WWE.
00:32:00It was going to be really interesting just to see how talented these guys were.
00:32:03We bonded with them pretty quickly and we realized that we could work together.
00:32:08And we thought right from the beginning that that would be a program, a rivalry we could have and we could make money.
00:32:13Because, you know, you have these two brawlers, these two guys who just rough people up in the Dudleys.
00:32:18And then you have these two high-risk guys who the people love, the underdogs, and they want to see them come from underneath and win their match and Matt and Jeff Hardy.
00:32:27And lo and behold, we went on to make a lot of history.
00:32:30First impression when I first saw them, loved them.
00:32:32Loved their demeanor, their core about them.
00:32:34I mean, it was just on sync with those guys.
00:32:37And I couldn't ask for a better group of friends to share the road with and the ring.
00:32:42You know, when the Dudleys and the Hardys first started, we never thought that we would have the chemistry that we had.
00:32:47It was special, it was unique, and not everybody can have that type of chemistry with each other.
00:32:50When we got to the WWE, we had known about the Hardys and they were doing, you know, their best to get the tag team scene in the WWE, you know, fired up again.
00:33:02We knew that there was something there.
00:33:06We knew that we had chemistry in the ring.
00:33:09We knew the first couple of times that we were in there with those.
00:33:17It wasn't that we were hated, it's that mystique that we had coming out of ECW, that whenever we were around, you knew something was going to happen.
00:33:27The teams gelled, and that's how we get to the Royal Rumble 2000 in Madison Square Garden.
00:33:34The tables match in Madison Square Garden with the Dudleys, definitely the peak in that match for me, it was when I was going to hit the Swanton, like win the match.
00:33:44And it was out there with the crowd, I was just perched up there, and I kind of lived for those moments, you know, that rush of like, not knowing if you're going to be okay after the fact.
00:33:55That's one of those examples of, man, nothing needed to be different, that match was close to flawless.
00:34:01Can't take you through the night of the first tables match, all I can tell you is this, we stole the show and we made history.
00:34:09It set the standard for what we were capable of, it put tag team wrestling back on the map in the WWE, we forced people to pay attention to us.
00:34:20We're facing the Dudleys in 2025, and that match was 25 years ago, in 2000.
00:34:26And if the Dudleys could defeat us for the TNA World Tag Team Championships, then they would be 25-time World Tag Team Champions.
00:34:35The Hardys and Team 3D, a rivalry that defined a generation.
00:34:42Coming up, we will continue their story and witness their emotion, the chaos, and the legacy they have left behind.
00:34:51In 2005, the Dudleys and the WWE decided to part ways amicably.
00:34:59I wanted me and D-Von splitting up to have a real story, to have real depth, to have real meaning.
00:35:29I wanted people to understand why this great tag team, some say the greatest tag team of all time, felt the need to split up.
00:35:39And it all revolved around one thing, the Dudley Death Drone, the 3D.
00:35:45Nobody had ever kicked out of the 3D.
00:35:48Look, look, it is!
00:35:503D!
00:35:52That's it, baby!
00:35:53There is one, two, two!
00:35:54New champs!
00:35:56What the heck?
00:35:58Probably the most protected finish in all of pro wrestling history.
00:36:04Has anybody ever kicked out of 3D?
00:36:07No!
00:36:08I mean, no, no, no!
00:36:1015 freaking years!
00:36:12I've never seen that!
00:36:14One, two, Chris Saban kicks out. Shock. Nobody has ever kicked out of the 3-D.
00:36:21And that shock led to Team 3-D losing the match.
00:36:26Guns go for the double team again and out of the neckbreaker from Saban.
00:36:29It's the crossbody by Shelly. Saban quick cover. Saban leghook.
00:36:33Brother Ray's shoulders are down and the guns keep the title.
00:36:36Next week at TV, Bubba and Devon say their official goodbyes.
00:36:41Bubba and Devon high-five and they hug.
00:36:44Devon turns his back to Bubba and Bully is born.
00:36:50I was cultivating and introducing Bully Ray to the world.
00:36:56And Bully Ray's run in TNA speaks volumes for the way we set the table and the way the entire story played out.
00:37:04I remember thinking it was so cool to see Bully Ray and the reinvention that the man Bubba Ray Dudley did.
00:37:13It's so hard to split away and become a singles guy in many capacity.
00:37:18Because a lot of people, they yearn to see you with your tag team partner.
00:37:22There's so many people that yearn to see Bubba and Devon together.
00:37:25So many people yearn to see the Hardys together.
00:37:28You know, not just like, you know, here's Matt Hardy or here's Jeff Hardy.
00:37:31But I just remember thinking, like, God, he has done such a great job, Bully Ray, of, like, dialing in on this, creating this Bully Ray character, perfecting it, and making people learn to hate it.
00:37:44People didn't think of him necessarily as a Dudley.
00:37:46They thought of him as Bully Ray and it led to him becoming the champion.
00:37:49I worked with Bully a lot, man, with the Aces and Aids thing.
00:37:54And, I mean, he was like this leader of a motorcycle gang.
00:37:57I was like, whoa, where did this come from?
00:37:58It's so cool to see somebody go out on their own and do something different.
00:38:01I'm sure there are people with Bryan Cranston that will always see him as Walter White, as Heisenberg.
00:38:07There are people that will look at Michael C. Hall and they will always see him as Dexter and it kind of typecast him right into this role.
00:38:12I've always been appreciative, I think, of that because it always gives us something to do.
00:38:19It's always something that is exciting.
00:38:21Even when Jeff and I split apart, whenever we had these individual solo runs, I know it's going to be even bigger when we come back together.
00:38:30The legacy of the Dudleys is this.
00:38:32We're the most decorated tag team of all time.
00:38:35End of sentence.
00:38:37Period.
00:38:37I got four boys, older.
00:38:42I got my two daughters and then my youngest son.
00:38:45So they don't really know what's going on, but the older ones do.
00:38:50You know, so I have to try to plant the seed in the younger ones that, you know, Daddy made something of himself.
00:38:57You know, he gave me his threes, Hall of Fames, you name it, Daddy did it.
00:39:01And you can only go so far with that before the kid goes, okay, Dad, and we want our family and friends and people that were there with us since day one to know that it wasn't easy.
00:39:13At handshake between two men, between two athletes, in this case these four legends, that means more than he ever can.
00:39:21These two teams went out there and created history like no other.
00:39:26What are you expecting to see on this big last match?
00:39:29What are you expecting?
00:39:31That I wish that I can go with him on the stage and I think it's going to happen.
00:39:45You want to fight for me?
00:39:47Yes.
00:39:48You want to get in the ring and beat him up?
00:39:49Yes.
00:39:50You want to help him with your 3D?
00:39:52Yes.
00:39:52That's my princess.
00:39:53Well, I did see a video of my dad where one time he was, like, climbing up a ladder to get the belt and he was doing his dances.
00:40:03I really liked it.
00:40:04It was really cool.
00:40:04It's so cool to see a version of yourself.
00:40:08And as far as me and having two daughters to see pretty much like the female version of you, it's super cool to, like, experience that every day.
00:40:19And I'm just so blessed.
00:40:20I love the impact that he has on many, many people.
00:40:23You know, fans will come up and just bawl their eyes out and say how much he's helped them.
00:40:29And I just think that's such a surreal feeling to think, you know, how can my dad help somebody through God knows what they've been through.
00:40:37And it's just, it's really cool to see those interactions happen in person and how much of an influence he's had on people over all these years.
00:40:44To be remembered as guys that went out there and gave it all they had.
00:41:11You know, childhood dream stuff that came true and beyond my expectations.
00:41:16I couldn't tell you what the emotion will be like before, during and after the match.
00:41:33Because then that would be planned emotion.
00:41:35And I despised planned emotion.
00:41:38No hesitation.
00:41:40No second thoughts.
00:41:43Only the weight of destiny pressing down.
00:41:49Every step toward the ring.
00:41:52Every breath before the fight.
00:41:54It all leads here.
00:42:00For the people that are diehard fans, for their fandom, it's the end of an era.
00:42:05You see this and when we advertise it one final time.
00:42:10The crowd doesn't see the sacrifice.
00:42:14They don't hear the doubts.
00:42:17They only feel the eruption when it all begins.
00:42:26We plan on doing things on that night that make people feel something.
00:42:32I don't know what that something is going to be.
00:42:34The stage is set.
00:42:40The fight inevitable.
00:42:43The moment unforgettable.
00:42:45But if things go the way I think they're going to go, I knew you'd go.
00:42:51I don't know where the 3D.
00:42:54And in Boston, the city of champions, glory is all that remains.
00:43:02You, you, you, and everybody watching right now.
00:43:07You'll have a tear down your face.
00:43:14And that will be real emotion.
00:43:17The Hardys.
00:43:19Team 3D.
00:43:21Hold up, brother.
00:43:23Test your fire.
00:43:27For everything they've done.
00:43:30Daddy's not doing it anymore.
00:43:31So you don't have to worry, okay?
00:43:34Daddy's done.
00:43:38Everything they've built.
00:43:40The end of a quarter of a century of a rivalry.
00:43:43It's something that has defined myself and my brother.
00:43:46Team 3D and the Hardys have defined one another for so, so long.
00:43:49Tonight was about more than tables or wins.
00:43:54It's another great memory.
00:43:56That is exactly what I envisioned for the final match between the Hardys and the Dudleys.
00:44:03And I think the proof is in the emotion of the audience.
00:44:07It was about respect.
00:44:08They say what we do in life echoes in eternity.
00:44:12While the halls of wrestling history have been reverberating with the sound of screaming crowds
00:44:18and splintering tables for over 25 years, thanks to Team 3D.
00:44:26About legacy.
00:44:27From trampolines in Canberra, North Carolina, to death-defying Wrestlemania moments, to revolutionizing
00:44:37the industry over and over again here in TNA, Matt and Jeff Hardy's legacy will live forever.
00:44:46This is the moment we have all been waiting for.
00:44:51About two teams that changed the game.
00:44:55Two of the most decorated tag teams in the history of professional wrestling.
00:45:02We will never be here again.
00:45:05For the last time.
00:45:07One final table.
00:45:11One last time.
00:45:13This is the end.
00:45:17I woke up at 2.30 a.m. last night and could not get back to sleep.
00:45:21And then I finally got up around 5.30 after tossing and turning,
00:45:24going, I'm not going to be able to sleep until this match is over.
00:45:26I did too.
00:45:27And that was all.
00:45:28I was so depravated throughout the day.
00:45:30And I got a little bit of an adrenaline rush from the match.
00:45:33But I was so emotional.
00:45:35I got a little bit of an adrenaline rush from the team.
00:45:46But that's not going to count in the favor of Team 3D.
00:45:52Oh, and T-Walk got out of the way, Matt horning through the table, but that's not going to count in the favor of Team 3D.
00:46:02Oh, that extreme has happened!
00:46:05Here are your winners and still, the NXT, NXT and A World Cup Team Champions, Matt, Jeff, the Hardy!
00:46:35Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
00:46:44Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
00:46:47Thank you! Thank you!
00:46:51Falling out here, man, just looking at him in pain and hurting and just thinking about how much longer we got, which is the unknown.
00:46:59My family, everything was just rushing through my mind, but we are just so blessed to be where we are and to be here in TNA, where we can, you know, we're shining, man!
00:47:10There are certain moments in this industry that you see and you'll just never forget them.
00:47:16We're always going to remember where we were when this happened.
00:47:19We had an anticipation that this was going to be something that lived forever.
00:47:23Team 3D, the Dudleys, Bubba and D-Von, we got our chance to say goodbye.
00:47:31Team 3D, it's not about my words, it's what fans thought about it.
00:47:48When the largest crowd in TNA Bound for Glory history is saying thank you Dudleys, thank you Team 3D, I guess the best words I can come up with are thank you, thanks for enjoying the story.
00:48:14Tonight was very special.
00:48:18We got to close the final chapter, in the final table, the way we wanted to, by going out and rocking the house, having a record attendance here, setting records, TNA, white hot right now, in this amazing resurgence and we're just very proud to be part.
00:48:34I know I had a 33 year career, loving everything I did, making history.
00:48:40I will be remembered in this business.
00:48:43For those that showed the love, thank you.
00:48:4633 years I couldn't ask for a better career.
00:48:50Thank you so much.
00:48:52History has been rewritten.
00:49:01Mike Santana, from the struggle to the summit, captured the TNA world title in a night that defined his destiny.
00:49:10Up next, we will feel all the emotion of the new TNA wrestling world champion, Mike Santana.
00:49:24I'm really excited for my dad's match.
00:49:27He's very special to me.
00:49:29I just really appreciate everything he's done and all that he went through.
00:49:38Just to be here now, he's gone through a lot.
00:49:43Like, a lot.
00:49:46It wasn't just about winning a title.
00:49:49Coming in as someone that people had no expectations.
00:49:54And almost 10 years later, I'm the world champion.
00:49:59For Mike Santana, it was about redemption.
00:50:05Happy?
00:50:07She gets to live an amazing life.
00:50:14That's right.
00:50:16Because of this.
00:50:17To stand in the ring.
00:50:20And it was very special.
00:50:22Because this was his big night.
00:50:24And I got to experience that special night.
00:50:29About proving that every setback.
00:50:32A poor Puerto Rican kid from the projects, bro.
00:50:37Had a dream and the balls to chase him.
00:50:41And I'm here with that.
00:50:46Every room.
00:50:47Mike Santana walking his way to the ring through the crowd.
00:50:51The people who brought him to the dance.
00:50:53The people who still represent where he came from.
00:50:57That is Mike Santana to the soul, to the heart.
00:51:00The loud and proud Puerto Rico.
00:51:03Sporting Taino War Paint.
00:51:05Which is at the indigenous natives of Puerto Rico.
00:51:08He carries that with him everywhere he goes.
00:51:10It has been nearly two decades of grinding in this business of professional wrestling.
00:51:17But when Mike Santana says it's been a lifetime of fighting.
00:51:21He means it.
00:51:22From the streets of New York.
00:51:24To the main event of Bound for Glory.
00:51:27Every fight.
00:51:28Oh, Santana face first into the post.
00:51:31After a shot like that.
00:51:33Trick can take his time.

00:52:21Mike Santana.
00:52:23Conquers Paul.
00:52:24And Bound for Glory.
00:52:26And maybe more importantly.
00:52:28He gets to look his daughter in the eye.
00:52:31And say, Poppy did it.
00:52:33Santana gets to hand the TNA World Championship for his daughter Ariana.
00:52:38What a tribute.
00:52:39A warrior fights for a cause.

01:04:56is he still alive
01:04:58yes able to kick out
01:04:59And since this match has officially begun, it has been all Trick Williams.
01:05:14Remember how it's Slammiversary, that triple threat match between Hendry Santana and Trick.
01:05:20Santana had that one after he hit spin the block on Hendry,
01:05:24but Trick had been feigning an injury during the matchup.
01:05:27He tossed Santana out of the ring and stole the matchup, retained his championship.
01:05:32The last time he went one-on-one with Santana, he had help from A.J. Francis.
01:05:38You can dominate, you can pull every trick, you do not slap a man like Mike Santana in the face and lift it down the tail.
01:05:46And now Santana lighting up Trick Williams.
01:05:49Oh, Santana sent hard to the outside and a rough landing for the realist.
01:06:00A great flurry there from Santana, but Trick Williams.
01:06:07A double-hand takedown.
01:06:13Santana's in trouble.
01:06:15Watch out.
01:06:17Well, Santana face-first into the post.
01:06:24And Trick Williams, just like that, turns the matchup around in his favor once again.
01:06:35Mike Santana is in trouble.
01:06:37And Trick Williams rolls back inside the ring, resetting the ten count.
01:06:43After a shot like that, Trick can take his time.
01:06:49Oh, God.
01:06:51And Mike Santana's busted wide open.
01:06:53Oh!
01:07:00The blood, sweat, and tears all coming out.
01:07:03And this one!
01:07:07It's like Trick Williams.
01:07:16Again, this is not a street fight, folks.
01:07:18Oh, dear God.
01:07:18Trick Williams is trying to end Mike Santana!
01:07:21Dear God!
01:07:23You know, they took his head off.
01:07:26Oh, and a Superman forearm off of the steps!
01:07:29This one turning into absolute bedlam.
01:07:36Oh, my God!
01:07:40Kind of far from the referee.
01:07:42Santana goes spine-first into the steel!
01:07:46Nasty landing for the realist.
01:07:48Mike Santana has conquered everything in his path.
01:07:58Can he endure this?
01:08:01Oh!
01:08:08Oh!
01:08:13Trick Williams continues to lay into Mike Santana, but I talked about the frustration earlier on.
01:08:19Mike Santana is one of the toughest outs we've ever seen.
01:08:22At what point does that emotion overwhelm Trick Williams?
01:08:30Mike Santana is the answer to the question, how much more do you have left?
01:08:36And Trick Williams is finding that out firsthand.
01:08:39Hold on!
01:08:39Right here!
01:08:40Goal!
01:08:40Back 50!
01:08:43Santana, foot on the gas!
01:08:46Outlined in chalk!
01:08:47The OIC!
01:08:49Now Santana's starting to boil.
01:08:52Santana's starting to roll.
01:08:54Cannonball!
01:08:58Now Santana trying to win the World Championship Trick game, and I can't count.
01:09:05Remember, it's been months that Mike Santana's been thinking about one thing.
01:09:12Hit and spin the block on Trick Williams and taking his head clean off.
01:09:17And as he stands to his feet here, how apropos that that traditional Puerto Rican war paint,
01:09:24if you will, is now replaced by his own blood, the wound of war.
01:09:32And Santana looks to the sky.
01:09:34What a battle this has already been.
01:09:47Now Mike Santana going up top.
01:09:49There's Trick Williams, however.
01:09:51Trick was lying in wait.
01:09:52Oh, Santana sent spine first into the hardest part of the ring.
01:09:57Absolute nasty landing for Santana.
01:10:05And now Trick sending Santana into the steel post.
01:10:09Second time that's happened to Santana in this match.
01:10:13Santana!
01:10:14Santana!
01:10:16Santana!
01:10:16Santana!
01:10:17Santana!
01:10:18Is this your daddy right here?
01:10:20Is this your daddy right here?
01:10:21Oh, and first, Mike Santana's daughter, Ariana.
01:10:25Trick Williams talking trash with her bloody father three to eight.
01:10:29Watch him out!
01:10:31Three, four!
01:10:32Oh!
01:10:33Truly adding insult to injury.
01:10:35Another level of insult.
01:10:38That's your daddy, huh?
01:10:40That's your daddy?
01:10:41Hey, Timmy, who's your daddy now?
01:10:43Who's your daddy now?
01:10:45Yeah, yeah.
01:10:46Oh!
01:10:50And Mike Santana over the top!
01:10:55Like father, like daughter!
01:10:57You beat me to it!
01:10:59Do not miss with a Santana!
01:11:06And now Trick Williams sent back into the ring.
01:11:09Santana motivated, trying to move forward.
01:11:12A big kick right to the head by Santana!
01:11:20Power bomb!
01:11:21Cover!
01:11:22Get it now!
01:11:23Oh, Trick Williams out at two!

01:12:18You know, Santana's not kidding around when he busts out that 450 splash.
01:12:24But still, not enough to put Trick Williams away.
01:12:29Reminiscent of his days in LAX.
01:12:32Watch this again.
01:12:33A thing of beauty from a man his size.
01:12:36Mike Santana, pulling every tool out of the toolbox to defeat Trick Williams.
01:12:45What the hell?
01:12:49Trick Williams' lawyer, who we saw earlier on in the night.
01:12:53One of several, apparently.
01:12:55Oh, now Trick!

01:13:25And a boot right to the head!
01:13:28That could have been a knockout shot.

01:14:05He's ready to lose it.
01:14:08He's willing to do whatever it takes, apparently.
01:14:11I ask the question, when will the frustration overwhelm Trick Williams?
01:14:16He'd be more than happy to take a DQ at this point.
01:14:20If he uses the belt, he'll get disqualified.
01:14:24Oh, swingin' it at Santana!

01:15:10Roughly a year and a half ago.
01:15:14Santana put everything into that one.
01:15:16Maybe not enough to get the cover he wanted.
