00:00People are coming to the farm who had no idea about farming, they would be aghast.
00:11We've asked this question and asked that question, why are the newborn dairy calves not with our mothers?
00:22So in a normal system, calves are taken off mum at anything within two hours.
00:27They have a whole social structure and hierarchy that develops and evolves over time.
00:34And we're breaking that all the time, we're breaking that.
00:38What if we give the cows and calves a better life?
00:42Leave the calves with their mothers for several months and see what happens, and it was as busy as that.
00:48It came from both of us, but it certainly came from David. He wanted it to work.
