Fleetwood hair stylist to enter Blackpool boxing ring

Meet the Fleetwood hair stylist turned boxer Tammy ‘Ironfirst’ Stanbridge.

00:00Hi, this is the Blackpool Gazette and let us introduce you to the Fleetwood hairstylist turned boxer Tammy Ironfist-Stanbridge.

00:08The 40-year-old is currently training for her third charity boxing match this November.

00:13Tammy has taken part in the ultra-white-collar boxing event next month to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK

00:18in support of a friend's father who was recently diagnosed.

00:23She has already taken part in two more UWCB events,

00:26raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Breast Cancer UK, respectively.

00:31Tammy took up her first boxing challenge last year after the heartbreaking loss of her nan Betty to pancreatic cancer in 2021,

00:39as well as her close friends Stu Vaughan and John Davis, who also both died the same year from the disease.

00:45Speaking ahead of the next fight, Tammy said,

00:48Every fight has been such a huge learning experience and this one is for another cause that's really close to my heart.

00:54I know it's going to be tough, but I'm ready to give it to everything I've got.
