A proposed meeting in Hungary between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss ending the war in Ukraine has been called off after Moscow rejected an immediate ceasefire proposal and demanded territorial concessions from Kyiv as part of any deal. Trump says he doesn't want a meeting to be "a waste of time."

00:36a condition that Kiev rejects.
00:38While the summit in Hungary appears off for now, Trump says there could be more developments soon.
