00:00I'm a victim. I was scammed, I was fooled, I was everything.
00:04I will never fall in love, so unconditionally.
00:10May I ask first for Ms. Tessa and your reaction for the junked case,
00:16Estafa case, previously for the first one that was filed?
00:20It was junked?
00:21Yes, it was dismissed thanks to, of course, my able lawyers
00:26and because justice was really served.
00:28And that's why I thought, let's move on.
00:32You know, this is already the court.
00:34This is already the decision.
00:36And then there was an appeal, and that appeal was denied.
00:39And so I said, like, okay, let's go.
00:42Let's move on.
00:43But then there's another case again.
00:45And now it has been already...
00:48It was dismissed based on the merits.
00:51Yeah.
00:52So meaning if it's still on the same sort of elements,
00:56but then it's still, now it's a case.
01:01So then I said, like, okay, let's, let's, let's, let's...
01:04I'm going to stand here to defend myself and my lawyers.
01:07Is it possible to file a new complaint based on if it was the same merits?
01:14No, the first case was for a different transaction.
01:17That's why when this, it involved the same parties, but a different transaction.
01:23More or less the same facts.
01:25So that case, I reiterate, it was dismissed by the Regional Trial Court,
01:29Branch 58 of Makati City.
01:31Even the motion for reconsideration filed was denied.
01:35So this case, the second case, was for the second transaction.
01:40And unfortunately, upon motion for reconsideration,
01:43it was filed with this court, Regional Trial Court 150 of Makati City.
01:49So we're pushing, of course, to defend TESA.
01:52And we hope the justice will be served this time.
01:57But what was the allegation of Estafa for?
02:00Is it for an investment or...
02:03You know, the thing is, I have no clue what it is.
02:06Because I don't even know.
02:07Apparently, you know, I'm involved and whatever.
02:09I convinced the other person that she wouldn't have given the money
02:13if it wasn't for my deduction.
02:15But I said, like, I mean, I'm a victim.
02:17I was already also fooled.
02:19And same with you.
02:21So why don't we both go after the bad one?
02:24But no, she put me with a bad one.
02:26So I don't even know what she is, you know, accusing me of.
02:31The amount and whatever.
02:32So you had no idea of whatever investment she's coming?
02:36No, I have no idea.
02:37No, our client does not have any knowledge about it.
02:39If there is anything for the first case, it was more of a civil liability.
02:44But that is also, you know, not my client, our client is also not accountable.
02:48You know, I think I was caught somewhere in the middle and I had no idea.
02:53And like I said, I'm a victim.
02:56I was scammed.
02:57I was fooled.
02:58I was everything.
02:59So now I said, like, I'm just going to move forward.
03:03But then I can't because then I'm going to be dragged on with another person who was also scammed.
03:07Get the scenario.
03:08Two victims are among many.
03:15Now, the latest victim is accusing me that I introduced and whatever it is to the bad, evil one.
03:23I'm going to pull it down those terms.
03:24What is the lesson that you've learned, Ms. Tessa, after all this?
03:28I will never fall in love so unconditionally.
03:31That's the lesson for me.
03:33Because I love all out.
03:34You know, everything.
03:35I don't see the red flags.
03:37I don't see everything vibrates in love with me.
03:41And so when I already knew that there was something going on, I already put my foot down.
03:46I said, like, you know, family is everything.
03:49I'm going to cry.
03:50You know what I mean?
03:51But then I was still telling that person, please pay everybody.
03:57Please pay everybody.
03:58And then, you know, my lawyer is like, keep quiet.
04:04What do you want to mean?
04:05I just want to feel that why am I getting victimized all over again?
04:13And all my problema was I fell in love.
04:17So I'm correcting that.
04:19So now I'm here with my lawyers to defend myself and prove that justice should be served.
04:27Would you say you weren't too trusting?
04:29Of course.
04:30Like I said, I'm so in love.
04:32Period.
04:33I'm so happy.
04:34So anyway, I said, lesson learned here.
04:39I mean, like, yes, when people invest things and stuff, they, of course, they have their own risks.
04:48Don't blame me in short, right?
04:50If ever there was an investment.
04:52And then I said, like, I didn't even know about the investment.
04:55So I said, well, that was almost two years ago.
05:02That's the weirdest part.
05:04It's still ongoing now.
05:06What we can say is that we want justice to be served.
05:09Yes, and I love my lawyers.
05:12They have been so watching over me and, you know, really guiding me because I have never been in a criminal case ever.
05:23The last time I was here in court was really for my anonymous.
05:27Let me talk about that.
05:29You're kidding.
05:30Yeah.
05:32Yeah, we're ready.
05:33My outfits are ready.
05:34You know, my whole outlook is ready.
05:37And I'm standing here again for maybe myself plus other people that need to have unspoken, like, problems and was also victimized also.
05:49Would you say you have set more boundaries now?
05:53Yes.
05:53Hello.
05:54It cost me so much money to realize this.
05:57Talk about charge it to expensive experience.
06:01But I have.
06:02I have learned a lot.
06:04In the last, I would say, like, five years, I have gone through everything.
06:10You know, end of a marriage.
06:12I mean, like, all the trauma, betrayal, everything.
06:15Everything.
06:16And then now I said, like, I feel stronger.
06:18I feel more positive.
06:19I feel like I think I'm here for a reason.
06:23And that purpose is coming to fruition.
06:26I'm so happy.
