This special report focuses on the troubled Pallava flyover in Dombivli, Maharashtra, which was shut down shortly after its inauguration. The bulletin also covers a unique workshop in Durg, Chhattisgarh, where students are turning scrap metal into Bastar iron craft, and a viral video from Iran showing the daughter of a key aide to Supreme Leader Khamenei, sparking accusations of hypocrisy. A local leader expressed frustration over the flyover's quality, stating, 'This bridge was being built for the last eight years and since it was made, they have just been doing patchwork like this.' The 562-metre flyover, built by the MSRDC to ease traffic, was closed on its opening day on July 4th due to a slippery surface, and then again in September after developing numerous potholes, forcing authorities to re-asphalt the entire stretch.

00:00Okay, let's turn to tonight's Get Real India story which comes from the suburb of Dombevli near Thane district of Maharashtra.
00:08Now the flyover here called the Pallava flyover was built to ease traffic between Navi, Mumbai, Kalyan and Thane.
00:15All very very populated, densely populated suburbs of Mumbai.
00:20Guess what? It's turned into a full-blown fiasco.
00:23Seven years in the making, inaugurated in the month of July, shut the very same day, reopened only to be shut once again.
00:34Why? Get Real India. Take a look.
00:41Mumbai's Pallava flyover was meant to be a lifeline, part of an ambitious plan to decongest the ever-choked Dombevli stretch.
00:49Built by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, the 562-metre-long bridge was inaugurated on the 4th of July this year.
00:58But within hours of being opened, motorists began to skid.
01:02The freshly laid surface was too smooth.
01:04The flyover had to be shut down the very same day.
01:07A day later, sand was sprinkled to increase friction and the bridge was reopened.
01:12But the woes of the public were far from over.
01:15Within just a week, the newly built flyover was riddled with potholes.
01:18By the third week of September, the bridge became a nightmare for commuters.
01:45Repeated patchwork attempts failed to fix the damage.
01:48Finally, the MSRDC had no choice but the shutter bridge again,
01:52this time completely stripping off the entire asphalt layer and relaying it from scratch.
01:57Even today, parts of the bridge remain closed as resurfing work continues.
02:01Local leaders now want accountability and a technical investigation into how a bridge built over seven years began to crumble.
02:30in literally seven days.
02:33The Pallava debacle has once again raised big questions over public infrastructure and accountability in Maharashtra.
02:53The Maharashtra government still hasn't responded to that story as and when they respond, we'll have their reaction as well.
03:08Let's turn to our good news today's story.
03:10From there, it comes from Chhattisgarh's Durg, where a group of college students are turning rust into art.
03:17At a unique workshop, what began as scrap metal is taking the shape of something far more meaningful.

03:54Under New Education Policy 2020's skill-based learning initiative, over 45 students from the History Department are learning the intricate art of tribal iron sculpture using scrap.
04:07Under the guidance of master craftsmen,
04:36from Baster's Kondagao and Kanta, students have sculpted tribal figures, drummers, archers and many others.
04:45By just using simple tools like hammers, chisels and of course, raw creativity.
04:53The workshop isn't just about art.
04:56It's a step towards preserving Baster's indigenous craft and promoting eco-conscious thinking.
