00:00What's your beautiful children? What would you want?
00:02And I didn't know what she said anyway.
00:04So I said, I want my husband.
00:06And she said, well, and she looked down the whole time.
00:08Welcome to Ms. Mojo, where we'll be doing a detailed breakdown
00:12of every single cheating scandal in the House of Windsor,
00:15at least since Elizabeth II's coronation.
00:18It's instigated a huge worldwide craze.
00:23Yeah, as it did at the time, of course,
00:26but there's more to this, as there always is.
00:30Revelations about Prince Andrew over the years
00:33have fueled rumors about his infidelities.
00:36Turns out he's not the only one
00:37who's been unfaithful in the family.
00:40Christian monarchs historically have what's called
00:42the divine right of kings,
00:44which means only God can judge a monarch.
00:47This house has time and again
00:50expressed its wholehearted loyalty to the crown.
00:53The UK has largely abandoned the idea since the 17th century,
00:57but the royals can still get away with a lot more than regular folk.
01:01This includes cheating, which is fairly common,
01:04likely because they tend to marry for reasons aside from love.
01:08Marry Catherine Brackensauce, she was a love so true.
01:10There would never be another, well, maybe one or two.
01:13Lucy Walter, Nell Gwynn, Moldavis, Barbara Villiers.
01:16You think that's bad, but her name's not as silly as...
01:18Oh, tense, man, silly.
01:20Additionally, the royals used to encourage taking mistresses
01:24until around the 19th century,
01:26so it's not quite as taboo for them as it is for us.
01:30Princess Anne is Elizabeth II's only daughter,
01:33who was first married to horseman Mark Phillips in 1973.
01:37In 1985, Phillips ended up cheating on Anne
01:40with a New Zealand art teacher named Heather Tonkin.
01:43The pair even had a child together named Felicity,
02:07who has supposedly never met her half-siblings.
02:10The unfaithfulness was reciprocated by Anne,
02:13who was rumored to have had an affair with her bodyguard,
02:17Sergeant Peter Cross.
02:18He felt compelled to mention rumors about Sergeant Cross
02:22and the two of you being intimate.
02:26He became her bodyguard in 1979,
02:28but had to leave the role after a year due to rumors.
02:32Another alleged affair of hers was with Commander Timothy Lawrence,
02:35who became her second husband in 1992.
02:38Well...
02:39I cannot have all of me.
02:43And I will not give all of me.
02:46And I will marry Tim.
02:48Both of these are discussed in The Crown,
02:50and she's still married to Lawrence today.
02:53King Charles III married his first wife,
02:55Princess Diana, in 1981,
02:5811 years after he first met Camilla Shand.
03:00Walking down the aisle, I spotted Camilla.
03:02Pale grey, veiled hat, pillbox hat, saw it all.
03:11Her son Tom standing on a chair to this day, you know, vivid memory.
03:15And I thought, well, there we are, that's it.
03:18I hope that's all over with.
03:19Apparently, it was love at first sight.
03:22That didn't stop them both from marrying other people,
03:25with Camilla tying the knot with a cavalry officer in 1973.
03:29Neither of them was happy in their marriages,
03:31motivating them to cheat further in the 80s.
03:34In 1989, Diana confronted Camilla,
03:37who responded by saying,
03:39Diana's got everything she ever wanted,
03:41and asked, what more does she want?
03:43Diana replied, I want my husband.
03:46I said to Camilla, I'm sorry I'm in the way.
03:48I obviously am in the way.
03:50And it must be half of both of you.
03:51I don't know what's going on, don't you?
03:53No, I don't know what's going on.
03:54Unfortunately, things only deteriorated from there.
03:57Camilla is who I want.
03:58That is where my loyalties lie.
04:02That is who my priority is.
04:04Not the mother of your children.
04:05Don't bring the boys into this.
04:06All right.
04:07Not the woman you married!
04:08I refuse to be blamed any longer for this grotesque misalliance!
04:12The two divorced in 1996,
04:15and Diana died only a year later.
04:17The public was initially opposed to Charles and Camilla's relationship,
04:21but they married in 2005, once tensions cooled.
04:24Diana was and still is one of the most cherished royals
04:28from recent history.
04:29Well, like all humans, she wasn't perfect,
04:31and was as faithful to Charles as he was to her.
04:35In the minute Harry was born and duty was done,
04:37the marriage was effectively over,
04:38and they started to find comfort in the arms of others.
04:42How many others?
04:45Diana's been with her bodyguard, her riding instructor.
04:49Her first rumored affair was with her bodyguard,
04:52Barry Manneke, in 1985,
04:54who had to be dismissed a year later.
04:56Second was with James Hewitt,
04:58a cavalry officer she admitted to being romantically involved with in the late 80s.
05:03But Diana,
05:05Aunt Margot tells me at Kensington Palace it's like a revolving door.
05:10The suitors park outside her office,
05:13because it's the only place with no security cameras.
05:16One after another.
05:18In and out.
05:20In and out.
05:21Her most infamous affair was with James Gilby,
05:25which led to the Squidgygate scandal.
05:27A phone call between the pair was leaked,
05:29with Gilby calling her Squidge, or Squidgy, 14 times.
05:33After Gilby, there are at least seven other men
05:36she was rumored to be romantically entwined with.
05:38I'm not answering that.
05:40I'm not speaking on this thing again ever.
05:42I heard a click on the line this morning.
05:44The Duke of Edinburgh was Elizabeth II's husband from 1947
05:48until he died in 2021.
05:50While their marriage was often idolized by the public,
05:53there were a handful of cheating rumors
05:55during their seven-decade-long marriage.
05:58Why did you never do that for me?
06:01Dance on your birthday?
06:02Yes.
06:03Like Salome.
06:05Because, if memory serves,
06:07you had your own ballerinas for that.
06:08In the 40s,
06:10Philip was rumored to be secretly seeing actress Pat Kirkwood.
06:13Other figures he was rumored were
06:15Katie Boyle,
06:16Helene Cordette,
06:17Merle Oberon,
06:18Daphne du Maurier,
06:20Princess Alexandra,
06:21the Duchess of Abercorn,
06:23and Penelope Penny-Natchbull.
06:25The final affair was covered in The Crown,
06:28Surprising, isn't it?
06:29Yes.
06:30More fun than it looks.
06:31Yes.
06:33According to royal biographer Sarah Bradford,
06:36the Queen was aware of his affairs,
06:38but didn't mind.
06:39None were ever confirmed,
06:40with all parties denying these affairs.
06:42So, take them with a grain of salt.
06:45You need to do what you need to do.
06:50I can look the other way.
06:53Because I know you can look the other way.
06:54You've raised looking the other way into an art form.
06:57Prince William,
06:57the current heir to the British throne,
06:59is another widely loved royal.
07:01And, you know,
07:02I've got enough trouble with my dancing recently,
07:04so it's kind of best to keep away from that.
07:06He's been married to Kate Middleton since 2011,
07:09and the pair have since become an iconic couple.
07:12There have been no confirmed affairs in their relationship,
07:15but there have been whispers
07:16that William was sleeping with Rose Hanbury,
07:19a peeress and former model.
07:21Speculation about this first arose in 2019,
07:24and returned in 2022.
07:26And put in the marriage on the ground.
07:28That's because Dumois was sent a message saying
07:30one of the royal wives doesn't mind her husband cheating,
07:33as long as it doesn't become emotional.
07:35Of course, that's not a reputable source,
07:38so it might be entirely untrue.
07:41And you obviously also like flirting
07:43as soon as my back has turned.
07:44And hitting on other people.
07:46What?
07:46We're on the same course.
07:47That's a bit out of order.
07:48We were just talking about an essay.
07:50And how exceptional Kate is.
07:51Before getting into the more recent
07:52Prince Andrew revelations,
07:54we should take a step back
07:55to discuss his marriage to Sarah Fergie Ferguson.
07:58People tell me I put my foot in it from time to time.
08:01At least I don't put it in someone's mouth.
08:03Can you imagine?
08:05My actual foot.
08:05They married in 1986
08:07and only spent 40 days of the year together
08:10in the following five years.
08:12In 1992, a huge scandal erupted
08:14after Fergie was photographed in a compromising position
08:17with her financial advisor, John Bryan.
08:20We were playing games
08:22and one of the games wound up being sort of Cinderella
08:25and Cinderella with the shoes and the toes
08:31and everything else that took place.
08:32This was only a few months
08:34after they'd announced their separation,
08:36but they didn't officially divorce until 1996.
08:39And I thought to myself,
08:42what in the world could be $12 million worth of photos?
08:48If you thought that was bad,
08:50just wait until you hear the complicated mess
08:52of allegations about Andrew.
08:54The Prince Andrew and Epstein scandal
08:56is the second largest royal scandal of the century so far.
08:59After Megxit.
09:01I've never really felt the need to go and party.
09:04And certainly going to Jeffrey's
09:08was not about partying.
09:10In 2011, the press discovered Andrew
09:12was friends with convicted criminal Jeffrey Epstein,
09:15who was believed to be a despicable person.
09:18There have been multiple accusations
09:20against Epstein on trafficking women.
09:22They also claimed Andrew was involved,
09:24pointing to photos of the victims
09:26with Andrew from years ago,
09:28alongside the flight logs.
09:30We're having tea and Andrew's talking about Fergie,
09:36which is his ex-wife at that point,
09:38and Ghislaine's bad-mouthing Fergie as well,
09:41and Epstein's just socially awkward,
09:44so I think he's just laughing about everything.
09:46To clear his name,
09:47Andrew appeared on Newsnight to defend himself.
09:50The interview was a monumental disaster.
09:52We now understand is the date,
09:55which is the 10th of March.
09:57I was at home.
09:59I was with the children.
10:00I'd taken Beatrice to a pizza express
10:04in Woking for a party.
10:07Andrew denied all the allegations,
10:09alongside expressing no regret for his friendship
10:12with a convicted human trafficker.
10:14He said he had no memory of taking the photo,
10:16and said he broke his friendship with Epstein in 2010.
10:19I didn't sweat at the time,
10:21because I had suffered what I would describe
10:25as an overdose of adrenaline in the Falklands War
10:27when I was shot at,
10:29and I simply, it was almost impossible for me to sweat.
10:35A 2025 biography called Entitled,
10:38The Rise and Fall of the House of York,
10:40paints a different picture.
10:42It says he met Epstein before 1999,
10:44and goes into detail about his intimate relationships.
10:47If it's taken to be true,
10:49then he likely cheated on Fergie too many times to count.
10:52Allegations of wild parties,
10:54royal feuds,
10:55his rudeness to palace staff,
10:57and even a physical fight with Prince Harry,
11:00which Prince Harry has now denied.
11:03For example,
11:03it states that he once requested 40 women
11:06to his hotel in Bangkok.
11:08Don't take these claims as fact.
11:09A lot of the sources are dubious.
11:12For instance,
11:12one claim source is a journalist
11:14who found out from someone in Andrew's circle.
11:17For all we know,
11:18that could just be someone
11:19who was in the same room as him.
11:21Still,
11:22there are so many discrepancies in Andrew's story.
11:25It's highly suspicious.
11:26You think that photo has been faked?
11:31Nobody can prove whether or not that photograph has been doctored,
11:37but I don't recollect that photograph ever being taken.
11:40And you don't recollect having your hand
11:43round her waist in Gurley and Maxwell's house?
11:47The scandal resulted in his resignation from public roles in 2020.
11:51One of his victims also took him to court for his alleged crimes,
11:54but it was settled out of court in 2022.
11:58In this country,
11:59no person,
12:00whether president or prince,
12:01is above the law.
12:02And no person,
12:02no matter how powerless or vulnerable,
12:05can be deprived of the law's protection.

12:22So, it seems the royals get up to a lot more behind the scenes than most expect.
12:29Some very strange and unpleasant activities have been going on.
12:35It feels like there are more royals involved in cheating scandals than ones who aren't.
12:41Some accusations are more credible than others,
12:43and a few probably are solely rumors.
12:46It makes complete sense, though,
12:48since they rarely marry for love,
12:49and they're constantly under the public eye.
12:52I don't think I was happy.
12:53I think I was...
12:55I never tried to call it off in the sense of really doing that,
13:00but...
13:02I think the worst day of my life.
13:05Therefore,
13:05small interactions can be exaggerated and spiral into gossip.
13:09They are royals who descend from William the Conqueror,
13:12but they're ultimately still human and are prone to making mistakes.
13:17Or perhaps just because it amuses everyone to take two people who are perfectly happy together
13:21and to find a reason to break them up,
13:22because there is history of that cruelty in this family.
13:25Well, I won't stand for it.
13:26Before watching, did you know about all of these,
13:29or did you learn something new about the royal family?
13:31Let us know in the comments section.
13:33Once upon a time, there was a beautiful young girl
13:35who fell madly in love with a handsome prince.
13:38Unfortunately, the prince was already in love with someone else
13:40who was herself in love with someone else,
13:42and they all lived unhappily ever after.
