2.6 million lamps for Ayodhya temple, air quality in Delhi plunges on Diwali

A record 2.6 million earthen lamps were lit the night before Diwali (Oct 20) in the Indian temple town of Ayodhya, which Hindus believe is the birthplace of Lord Rama.  Air pollution levels in New Delhi plunged no thanks to the lifting of the firecrackers ban during the festival.
