00:00Good fight out there today. You're always smiling, which we absolutely love.
00:05Was it just a fantastic performance from Yannick?
00:08There wasn't many problems you could try to solve out there today?
00:12Yeah, I mean, he played a great tennis today.
00:15I think he didn't let me step on the mat, get the good rhythm.
00:21He has said he was improving a lot of the serve, and I could feel it.
00:27No break points today, which for me, it's something weird that I used to at least have one break point in the mat.
00:33But, you know, when he's serving such a, you know, really good, it's really difficult to play.
00:41So I just couldn't find a solution today. So I think he's serving.
00:45When he's serving that well, does it feel like it puts more pressure on your own serve?
00:50Because if you lose your serve, you feel like the set could be over?
00:54Yeah, absolutely. It's just an extra, extra pressure.
00:59Even more when it is Yannick Senior that is probably one of the best, if not the best, returning that we have to right now.
01:07So when, as I said, when he's serving that way, when he's returning that way, it's really difficult to stay calm.
01:13So it's, you feel, you feel the pressure.
01:16What motivation does this give you for the indoor tournaments and the rest of the year, though?
01:20Because this was quite fast conditions, but then there's more fast courts coming up for the rest of the season.
01:25Well, yeah, a few, few tournaments ahead, indoor court that I'm trying to get used to, you know, the spirit of the courts, trying to play such a great tennis that my record on indoor courts are not the best one.
01:37But I'm trying to go and approach the tournaments the best way possible.
01:44I have the number one sport, you know, on the line, so I will try to play my best in the tournament that I have ahead.
01:51Do you think Carlos playing indoors makes it more difficult for you against Yannick?
01:56Probably.
01:56Put him on the spot in front of him.
02:00He's listening.
02:00He's listening.
02:01And I, you know, here, no.
02:03I saw you lean forward a little bit.
02:05Don't talk about golf, guys.
02:09No, but probably, I mean, the record that he has on indoor courts is impressive.
02:14So I think not many, not many loses.
02:16So it's, it's extra difficult for me playing, playing indoor against him.
02:23Yannick, congratulations.
02:24It's always such a special thing to witness both of you on a court, anytime, anywhere in the world.
02:29It's always something special.
02:31He played such a high level today, even in that second set, that break point, hit the return and went in.
02:37Carlos, we see you.
02:38Maybe you stole a few tricks from him.
02:40You pulled it all out today.
02:42I have not the tricks what he has.
02:45That's for sure.
02:46But, you know, I need to adapt.
02:48I need to adapt, especially when I play against Carlos.
02:50Because I had some very tough losses, you know, but also some great wins, you know, it's a great rivalry.
02:56And as we said, you know, now in the ceremony, you know, we have a very special, you know, friendship.
03:03Because it's very difficult now to be a good rival on the court and being, you know, but also a good friend off the court.
03:10But I'm not going to join him in golf, that's for sure.
03:16And I'm not going to follow you in karting as well.
03:19I take care of that part, don't worry.
03:20I take care of that part.
03:21We split all the ski, you know.
03:23But, you know, I think, you know, rivalries are important for our sport.
03:27But we are one of many rivalries we have right now.
03:31And I'm obviously very happy to be part of.
03:33And producing this kind of tennis makes me obviously very happy.
03:38It's certainly the rivalry.
03:39It's helping push everyone on the tour.
03:41You're making the sport better every time you guys keep improving.
03:45I must also ask, this time in Riyadh, you guys have really taken in the culture.
03:49You've spent a whole week here.
03:50Second time that you guys have come after last year.
03:53How has the week been?
03:54Well, it's been great.
03:57I would have loved to see more here in Riyadh.
04:02To spend more time, to do more activities here.
04:08I know that here there are great spots.
04:12But I couldn't go yet, I would say.
04:15But they treat us really, really well.
04:18I'm really happy to see more countries, to feel the culture here that's really pretty different than our culture.
04:30So it's great to play in another country and another week here.
04:34Magnificent.
04:35Yannick, this is your second Six Kings Slam victory here.
04:39You guys have played in the final both times.
04:41Carlos was talking about moving on towards the end of the season.
04:44You had a very successful end of the season last year.
04:47Body feeling great at this juncture.
04:49You're ready to continue and try to chase this man for that number one ranking?
04:53Yeah, I mean, this year it's going to be impossible.
04:57But at the same time, look, for me, especially at the end of the year, it's very important.
05:02I'm actually very lucky because here in FANLAR in Italy, this gives me a lot of energy and with my home people.
05:08And I love indoors, you know, I love indoors.
05:11I really enjoy this kind of, you know, scenarios.
05:15I've been out two times in a row here.
05:17It's great to see, you know, many, many people getting into tennis and to make the sport as big as possible,
05:23which, you know, that's our goal.
05:26And this is why we are responsible for it, you know, also as players.
05:30And it's great to come back, you know, maybe, you know, even more because, you know, you see that the sport here is so inspiring
05:39and also it's getting bigger and bigger.
05:40So we are all very happy.
05:42Yannick, Carlos, congratulations on a beautiful week.
05:45Congratulations on the victory.
05:46You guys are a blessing to the sport.
