00:00Thanks everyone for joining us for this pre-match press conference with Omaima Sohail from Pakistan.
00:07Dan, you can kick us off.
00:09Good luck tomorrow.
00:10It feels like you guys are getting closer and closer to a win,
00:14and unfortunately the rain didn't help the other night.
00:17What's it going to take against New Zealand to get that win?
00:20Yeah, that was disappointing for us,
00:24but now we are looking forward to our next game match with New Zealand.
00:29We will do our best and we will try to win that match also.
00:36And, you know, there is a chance that your side matches up quite well against a team like New Zealand
00:42and in the conditions here in Colombo,
00:44so assuming the weather is OK,
00:46do you feel like you guys could have an advantage maybe through the spin attack or the pitch here in Colombo?
00:52How do you kind of see it happening?
00:54The pitches are supporting two ballers, especially spinners.
00:58Our spin department and fast department are also doing gear grade, but we need to step up in batting.
01:05We will try to do good in next matches also.
01:11The start to your batting wasn't as great as you would have hoped,
01:14but last match you looked a lot more fluent when you began.
01:17How did you feel, how did you adapt to the situation, knowing that time was running out?
01:22We played here four matches, so now we know what the situations and what the pitch act,
01:28so we know what to do in upcoming matches, so we will do better.
01:34In terms of you looking at an ideal target, it has been difficult to say which sort of a target is good here,
01:41because you can see it just swing every time.
01:44Say if you were to defend or post a target tomorrow against New Zealand,
01:47knowing that they have a decent strong batting line-up, what would you say was a good target?
01:51They are a good team, so our bowling unit is doing great, so we will restrict in a good total like 200 is the best for us, so we will go with it.
02:09Can we just get some thoughts on Fatima Sana, she did such a phenomenal job in the last game, just what do you think about…
02:19She is doing great in bowling, I hope she will do good in upcoming matches also, as a team we will do great, inshaAllah.
02:30And in terms of the overall tournament, obviously the rain was very unfortunate,
02:37but what are some of the learnings that you guys have taken, what are the areas that you all have identified that you still want to focus on improving,
02:44and what are the areas that you are happy with?
02:46The improving areas I think in our batting, we need to click and go more, better needs to step up and the good total,
02:58so I think the improving department in batting.
03:03So in terms of the batting, you have been in and out of the side, you came back into the side for the last game,
03:09just want to know what have you been working on particularly, and are there any areas that you have been looking at in terms of combating the conditions here?
03:18I think the main challenge is to open and play a new ball. If you saw the matches, they are seaming and the pitch is like seam,
03:32so I am trying to play a new ball and working on it.
03:39And in terms of, so obviously Pakistan, they have been eliminated from the World Cup, but does that mean that you all are a little bit more relaxed?
03:49What's the vibe like in the camp for the next games?
03:52No, no, not relaxed. We have a chance to go in semis if we win the matches, like three matches.
03:59So maybe the cricket, the scenario is open, so maybe we will win the three matches, so we have a chance in semis.
