00:00West Bromwich Albion are once again eyeing a return to the Premier League,
00:06determined to end their five-year absence from the top flight under manager Ryan Mason.
00:12The Baggies have collected 14 points from 27 since Mason's appointment,
00:16but a recent 3-0 defeat at Millwall has left them outside of the playoff positions
00:21and raising questions about their attacking options.
00:24Josh Madger is still finding full fitness and confidence after missing much of last season with a calf problem,
00:32while new signing Anu Hagbo has yet to show he can thrive at this level.
00:37With their forward line under scrutiny, West Brom could look to the free agent market for a boost,
00:44and one name stands out, Mikel Antonio.
00:48Antonio, now 35, spent 10 prolific years at West Ham,
00:52scoring 67 Premier League goals and becoming the club's highest scorer of the Premier League era.
00:58He also helped the Hammers to Europa Conference League glory,
01:01but a decade ago, Antonio nearly joined West Brom from Nottingham Forest,
01:06with the Baggies reportedly willing to pay £5 million before West Ham hijacked the deal,
01:11with a £7 million offer.
01:14He later admitted that he thought he would be signing for West Brom,
01:17but ended up back in London instead.
01:20Antonio is now regaining fitness, training with Brentford to stay match ready.
01:26While a signing would carry some risk,
01:29his pace, work rate and ability to hold up the ball would add a new dimension to West Brom's attack.
01:35Antonio also has the motivation of a potential first World Cup for Jamaica since 1998,
01:41showing he has still plenty to prove.
01:44Reflecting on the heat's comeback, Antonio said in August,
01:49I've got something to prove to show I can come back and play well,
01:53which I was doing for the last 10 years.
01:56Even before the car crash, I was starting for West Ham,
01:59so it shows I've still got that ability, and I can do it all over again.

02:07could be the difference in pushing for promotion and finally returning to the Premier League.
