00:00Ace Frehley, the original lead guitarist for KISS, has died.
00:04The musician's family confirms his passing, telling NBC News in a statement,
00:08We are completely devastated and heartbroken.
00:11In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers, and intentions.
00:20As he left this earth, we cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others.
00:29Magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions and beyond comprehension.
00:34Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace's memory will continue to live on forever.
00:46The star joined the band alongside Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons in 1972,
00:52departing for a solo career in 1982, but rejoining for the band's 1996 reunion tour.
00:59Frehley was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, alongside the other members of KISS.
01:05On October 7th, the musician canceled his solo tour dates for 2025, citing ongoing medical issues.
01:13He had previously been hospitalized for a minor fall in his studio.
